In ''Warriors Orochi 4'', [[WarGod Ares]] advises her that since her Deification form is based from Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love and Beauty and Ares' lover, she should stop looking down on herself.

** According to [[WordOfGod the developers]], [[CounterpartComparison he contrasts to Yukimura's design, elements and Yukimura serving one lord while Takatora serves many]]. Developer Koinuma notes that he is the "dark hero" of the title.

* ReluctantFanserviceGirl: her grandfather tricked her into wearing her outfit by telling her that it's traditional Ii clan armor. She occasionally calls her clothes "weird" and does not seem to be comfortable with wearing them.

* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: Before meeting Nagamasa, Takatora was a samurai with no hope for himself, thinking him as a disposable pawn. Nagamasa realizes his potential far greater than he is and inspires him to be stronger and more skillful. Historically, Takatora starts as a foot soldier to be one of the most influtential men of the era.

* DeathOfAThousandCuts: Naotora's special buff greatly increases the range for each of her attack, making the majority of her moveset hit rapidly over a wide area. Most notably, increasing her long chain of Hyper attacks a boosted, crowd-clearing variation, and quickly filling both her Spirit gauge and Musou gauge, which makes her invincible and allows her to tear down large groups of enemies, easily bordering GameBreaker. And all three costumes were added to ''VideoGame/DeadOrAlive5'' as her unlockable costumes, completely unchanged.

He wields a sheated nodachi as his weapon of choice, and his element (as of four) is Wind

One of the grand masters of the Yagyū schools, now serving the Tokugawa to end the age of war that ravages the land. He ends up as Ieyasu's sword instructor.

His weapon is a saiken (slender sword) rapier styled slightly into a katana, since it still has a single edge.

* GenreSavvy: Given that most of the main objectives of these games revolve around defeating certain major officers, his belief that war should be settled by duels doesn't seem all that far-fetched.

* GenerationXerox: His and Hanbei's son, Kuroda Nagamasa and Takenaka Shigekado, respectively, are also close friends historically like their fathers were. In the game itself (from ''3'' onward), Shigekado and Nagamasa are usually positioned near each other among Eastern Army in Battle of Sekigahara.
