* ButNotTooBlack: In ''IV'', King's skin is a different shade than it was in the first game, largely due to his [[InkSuitActor appearance]] being altered to more closely resemble Terry Crews than Michael Clarke Duncan. King dryly comments that she never could "die with dignity".

* TheVamp: As Gat puts it, she holds every Vice King higher ups besides King by their dicks. Her backstory states that she slept her way to the top of the gang.

* JerkassHasAPoint: For all of Warren's bravado and arrogance; he's right about one thing. King was too accustomed to his area of power (or maybe constrained by rules of etiquette) that he couldn't finish off the Saints directly as opposed to letting his connections and lower crew members deal with them. In Warren's eyes, King's spending too much time watching and building, not enough acting.

* TaughtByExperience: King has been in the game a long time. Were he as young or as hot blooded as Warren, he mightn't made the same mistakes. But King's experiences taught him exactly how to manipulate the police to his advantage, how to respond to loss revenue without extreme violence (at least personally), and how to deal with some lowlifes "who wanna act hard". If he'd acted like Warren would have, it would have accelerated the gangland violence and it would've alienated his allies in the police force, which would have ruined his business. Knowing when to build, when to watch, and when to act was how King has made it as far and became as successful as he did.

* AllWomenLoveShoes: She manages to avoid [[spoiler:being killed alongside Hector]] because she went to buy shoes for the flight. When we see her in ''2'', she's working in a shoe store. Too bad she can't buy the correct seasons.

* VillainousFriendship: He's friends with Joseph in the fist game and seems to be friends with Matt in the second game.

* {{Stripperiffic}}: Only ever seen in a bra with a miniskirt, stockings and high heels. Again, former hooker.
* TokenWhite: She's the only white lieutenant of the gang, as the gang's other white members are rank-and-file mooks.

* AllWomenLoveShoes: Boy, does she ever. When we see her in ''2'', she's even working in a shoe store. Too bad she can't buy the correct seasons.
* AntiVillain: Although she's presented as being the girlfriend of Angelo, Luz is never actually portrayed as a villain and isn't involved in the Carnales' dirty work. The Boss even joins up with her in ''2'' during the Ronin Drug Trafficking sidequest.
* BrainlessBeauty: She seems somewhat ditzy, and she doesn't even buy fashionable shoes.

* AngryBlackMan: He thinks King "sticking his nose up them white boys asses" at city hall is a waste of time and proposes a full on assault on Saints Row every time the VK's suffer a setback. King tries to explain that working with men like Richard Hughes is what gives them an edge over the other gangs and that they shouldn't start a war every time someone challenges them, but he doesn't listen.
