!!! Tsubasa Hiroko (color:darkblue:Cure Draco) | [-Voice Actor: Fumiko Orikasa (Japanese); Colleen O'Shaughnessey (English)-]

-> "The hidden azure scales, Cure Draco!"

-> "Maybe I can't fix everything at once. But one thing at a time isn't bad, right?"

Hiroko is the shy and kind-hearted team center, who hardly considers herself hero material. She grew up believing herself inferior compared to her seemingly perfect elder sister, Chiaki; these insecurities followed her into Mirai Academy, and she plans to fade quietly into the background during the year. This is derailed by Muse's arrival, and despite her initial reticence, Hiroko eventually forms a tight Nakama with her fellow Cures and learns to love herself for who she is.

-> "The forceful black shell, Cure Kame!"

-> "Saving the world, one smackdown at a time? You better believe I'm for that!"

Izumi is a high-spirited but stubborn gymnast and shameless fangirl whose cute and feminine exterior belies her true nature. Competitive to a fault and not one for details, Izumi originally becomes a Cure out of a desire to become "the best" like her idols. She soon realizes that being strong and relying on the support of others are not mutually exclusive things, and that there are lessons to be found in losing as well as winning.

* BerserkButton (Do not so much as threaten her friends or idols, or you're on her list.)
* BigEater (The reigning champion of the cast)
* TheBigGuy (CuteBruiser)
* BookDumb Blonde
* DreadfulMusician (Bad enough that Shouji once suggested weaponizing her voice)
* EyesOfGold
* Five Temperament Ensemble (Choleric)
* GirlishPigtails (as Cure Kame)
* Girly Girl (to Yasu's tomboy; inverted as she's combative and athletic.)
* GravityMaster
* IKnowMaddenKombat (Her fighting style is heavily influenced by her gymnastics.)
* JumpedAtTheCall
* TheKnightsWhoSaySquee (to Shun, among others; this later mellows out, but never really goes away.)
* LethalChef (Her cooking is much worse than her singing.)
* LeeroyJenkins (She begins to recover from this later in the story, though.)
* MeaningfulName ("Hamasaki"/"Beach cape"; "Izumi"/"Fountain")
* SuperStrength (Cure abilities aside, she can apparently summon something like this in civilian form if angry enough.)
* ThisIsUnforgivable (Her "You've crossed the line!" limit phrase. Expect it to be said to the villain of the week every single episode.)
* TrademarkFavoriteFood (Pizza. Hmm...)
* Tsundere (Type B. It takes her "eternal rival", Shouji to bring out her "tsuntsun" side most of the time.)
* WhipItGood (Black Ribbon)
* ZettaiRyouiki (Grade B as Cure Kame)

!!! Fukuda Yasu (color:darkgray:Cure Tora) | [-Voice Actor: Chieko Honda (Japanese); Grey [=DeLisle=] (English, series); Emma Watson (English, movies)-]

-> "The shining silver fangs, Cure Tora!"

-> "If you do not intend on taking advantage of this tutoring session, I suggest that you vacate this room immediately."

Yasu is the Headmistress' sharp and cool-headed daughter. She tries her best to create a perfect image by excelling at schoolwork, throwing herself into numerous causes, and subtly policing others' behavior. However, this only alienates others and fuels Yasu's many insecurities, namely that she is only going through the motions of normal behavior. She soon realizes that this is not true and resolves to excel for her own sake, not for some ideal.

* AllOfTheOtherReindeer (Suffered from numerous health problems when younger and was ostracized for it. She doesn't want anyone's pity, though.)
* Bifauxnen (Seems like this at first glance, but is actually more traditionally "feminine" than the apparently girlier Izumi)
* BigSisterInstinct (Towards Haruki, naturally, though she can overdo it a bit sometimes.)
* BrotherSisterTeam (with Haruki)
* CovertPervert (Quite uptight...and the first to have her mind go south in a suggestive situation. Don't even start on her manga collection.)
* Crossdresser (Her distaste for skirts does lead her to dabble in this at times. In addition to wearing the male uniform, she wears a men's yukata with blue jeans underneath during the town festival and a suit with dress pants during the gala at Kyukai Hall.)
* ([[spoiler:She gets one, according to the fourth -- and, ironically, least spoilish -- trailer.]])
* ([[spoiler:Played straight in episode 31, as seen in all four trailers thus far released.]])
* FakeBrit (A variation: like her brother and mother, she's clearly Japanese yet speaks with a British accent in the English dub.)
* Five Temperament Ensemble (Melancholic)
* GoodScarsEvilScars (Has a scar from a childhood surgery across her midriff. She's very self-conscious about it and initially refuses to wear her midriff-baring swimsuit due to this.)
* HotForTeacher (She has a crush on her English teacher, Alan Bell but understands that it's not going to happen.)
* InSeriesNickname (The "Moon Prince(ss)". Not, not that Moon Princess.)
* Kuudere (Type 1)
* TheLancer
* Lunacy
* MeaningfulName ("Fukuda"/"Fortune ricefield"; "Yasu"/"Peace")
* Meganekko (In civilian form)
* NonuniformUniform (As a civilian, she wears a unique version of the male uniform, complete with student cap; as a Cure she wears a coat and longer shorts rather than the standard SkirtOverSlacks setup.)
* PrecisionFStrike (Sometimes, for some reason. She's...classy about it, though.)
* PrecisionGuidedBoomerang (Silver Fangs)
* RedEyesTakeWarning (Averted)
* RoseHairedGirl
* Tomboy (to Izumi's girly girl; inverted in that she's bookish and unathletic)
* WholeCostumeReference (In episode 16, she wears a "shorts-like", midriff-baring swimsuit that's basically a more silvery version of the swimsuit shown here)

!!! Fukuda Haruki (color:red:Cure Phoenix) | [-Voice Actor: Makoto Tsumura (Japanese); Steven Jay Blum (English)-]

-> "The intense scarlet wings, Cure Phoenix!"

-> "Don't worry, I'll protect you, no matter what. It's what heroes do."

Haruki is both the youngest team member and the token boy, who becomes a Cure later in the series. Where his older sister, Yasu, is strict and appearance oriented, Haruki is playful and cheery, if a bit naive, always trying to take things at his own pace. He has an earnest heart and believes in playing the hero, no matter what the cost, especially if his loved ones are involved. Unfortunately, this makes him a bit gullible and easy to take advantage of.

* BerserkButton (Threatening his sister is a bad idea, actively hurting her is even worse.)
* BewareTheNiceOnes (Haruki's a really nice kid. And when he cracks, he cracks.)
* BobHaircut
* BrotherSisterTeam (with Yasu)
* CuteShotaroBoy
* DraggedIntoDrag (Nanami often brings up how cute he'd look in a dress, and she makes this a reality during the school festival, complete with ZettaiRyouiki and a PantyShot. Yasu is not amused.)
* FakeBrit (A variation: like his sister and mother, he's clearly Japanese yet speaks with a British accent in the English dub.)
* Five Temperament Ensemble (Phlegmatic)
* GreenEyedMonster (Towards Yasu in secret, due to her apparent status as Yui's favorite. He gets better.)
* TheHeart
* InSeriesNickname ("The Sun Prince")
* LoveFreak (Considering that he exists in a series powered off of love and friendship, this isn't neccesarily a bad thing. Plus, he's far from incompetent.)
* MeaningfulName ("Fukuda"/"Fortune rice field"; "Haruki"/"Sunlight life")
* NonuniformUniform (Like his sister, his school and Cure uniform are both unique.)
* PaperFanOfDoom (Scarlet Fan)
* ParentalAbandonment (Yasu's illness often left Yui distracted and Haruki alone in the house and more lonesome than he'd let on.)
* ThePowerOfTheSun
* RedheadedHero
* RedEyesTakeWarning (Again, averted)
* SupremeChef (He's the second-best cook on the team behind Hiroko. He may even tie with her.)
* TheWhitePrince (Has shades of the Composed type)

!!! Muse / Inoue Jun (color:goldenrod:Cure Kirin) | [-Voice Actor: Ikue Ohtani (Japanese); Stephanie Beard (English)-]

-> "The musical golden hooves, Cure Kirin!"

-> "Whichever, whatever, however it takes, I'll show you how dedicated I am, nya!"

Muse is a black cat from the Hallowed Wellspring, capable of becoming a human girl, Jun. Boundlessly energetic, highly curious, and a born cheerleader, Muse is the appointed team mentor, though she gains Cure powers of her own later on. Despite her apparent immaturity, she can show moments of great insight benefitting her status. Generally, Muse believes in keeping negative aspects of herself hidden, sometimes to her own detriment.

* AnimalStereotypes (Sort of. As a human, she's a bit feline in her behavior, but keeps a mouse as a sidekick and loves dogs enough to start a small dog-walking business around town.)
* BigEater (Not as much as Izumi, but close. Her intense love of human food helps.)
* BlueEyes
* TheBumblebee
* CatSmile (Sometimes, along with CuteLittleFangs)
* TheChick[=/=]MentorMascot
* Daddy's Girl
* Five Temperament Ensemble (Sanguine)
* GenkiGirl
* HumanityEnsues
* MagicMusic
* MeaningfulName ("Inoue"/"Above the well"; "Jun"/"Obedient". "Muse" could be a play on her element or her status in the team.)
* TheMedic (The closest thing the team has to one, since her Bless Choker gives her some healing powers and her Cure abilities have some restorative applications.)
* MusicalAssassin (Gold Lyre)
* Odango (in human form. They even look like cat's ears.)
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld (Looks fourteen-ish, is actually at least two hundred years old...in human terms, anyway.)
* ShinyMidnightBlack
* StockingFiller (as Cure Kirin)
* WeAreAsMayflies (She struggles with this knowledge regarding herself and her Cure friends, and she's had to face it head-on before.)
* WeaponOfChoice (Gold Lyre)

!! Their Allies

----

Regular Allies

----

!!! color:silver:Kisu | [-Voice Actor: Ayaka Saitou (Japanese); Tara Strong (English)-]

-> "Kii!"

The other mascot of the team, a white-furred mouse mascot usually found riding on Muse's head (or shoulder, depending on what form she's in.) Kisu is the Grand Seal formed over a decade by powerful magic and given life; after the Cures defeat an enemy, he absorbs and purifies the energy released to become stronger. Since he is only a baby, he cannot care for himself, leaving Muse and Hiroko responsible for his welfare.

* HeroicAlbino (Well, heroic albino mouse.)
* [[MacGuffinGirl [=MacGuffin=] Mouse]]
* NonHumanSidekick
* PokemonSpeak (Can only say part of his own name. Later, he starts picking up human words, but his vocabulary is still pretty limited.)
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter
* SweetTooth (This caused some issues when he escaped during the cake contest.)
* TeamPet

!!! Fukuda Yui | [-Voice Actor: Ryoka Yuzuki (Japanese); Melanie [=MacQueen=] (English)-]

-> "I only have one request. Please, take care of yourselves...and one another."

Yui is Yasu and Haruki's mother and the Headmistress of Mirai Academy, who projects an inspiring and intimidating aura wherever she goes. Though she seems like a cool and stoic type who downright intimidates Hiroko, she soon reveals a kinder side, along with her knowledge of Pretty Cure. Yui operates as a combination of MissionControl and TeamMom.

* AbsurdlyYouthfulMother (She's described as still appearing to be in her early twenties and has more than a few younger admirers. Then again, she did marry at a very young age.)
* AlmightyMom
* FakeBrit (A variation: like her children, she's clearly Japanese yet speaks with a British accent in the English dub.)
* LettingHerHairDown (Whenever she's upset; otherwise, it's kept in a tight bun. It's actually quite long.)
* MamaBear
* MeaningfulName ("Fukuda"/"Fortune rice field"; "Yui"/"Tie, bind")
* RedEyesTakeWarning (Guess what? Averted!)
* Rose Haired Woman
* SpotOfTea (The absolute first thing she offers to anyone called into her office)
* TallDarkAndBishoujo
* WomanInWhite

!!! Shun Siegel (color:seagreen:Licht Panzer) | [-Voice Actor: Mitsuki Saiga (Japanese); Sarah Lafleur (English)-]

-> "Trust me, you're more like I was at that age than you'd ever believe. Who knows? You might surpass me someday."

Shun is Izumi's idol, a half-German racer known as "the Speed Prince of Kyukai". She is also Kimi Yoshimoto's younger cousin and thus acquainted with the former Cures. Though Shun is a bit more socially awkward and reserved than her public persona would suggest, she is still a loyal and determined ally of Pretty Cure, especially after she gains her own powers.

* AlliterativeName
* ArmedLegs (Naturally. She wears reinforced shoes in civilian form and greaves when transformed.)
* BadassLongcoat (Part of her uniform when transformed)
* BarrierWarrior (Her powers as Licht Panzer revolve almost solely around creating DeflectorShields for the Cures.)
* BerserkButton (She hates to see an innocent bystander get hurt. Belittling Kimi probably isn't a good idea either. And if you call her "Kasoku" one too many times and your name is Kae A. Dama, she'll sweep your leg.)
* Bifauxnen[=/=]WholesomeCrossdresser (and dropper of a few Bridgets.)
* BrainwashedAndCrazy (Involuntarily became Kae's new henchman, "E. Kasoku", early in the series. She got better after an episode or so, though.)
* Catchphrase ("Los geht's!" hottip:*: "Here we go!". It ends up getting used as a identifier later in the story.)
* CelibateHero (Claims to have been interested in a few people, but feels awkward even thinking about a relationship with anyone)
* [=~Chekhov's Gunman~=] (She's introduced as "just some idol of Izumi's"; later, she becomes first an ally to the Cures and later a legitimate team member.)
* ColorCodedForYourConvenience (She drives a "teal number 6" when racing. Foreshadowing And then she becomes the SixthRanger...)
* CoolBigSis (Takes this role within the team, especially towards Izumi)
* FingerlessGloves
* GratuitousGerman (Sometimes punctuates her sentences with this)
* GrayEyes
* ICallItVera (Assigns a nickname -- and occasionally a personality -- to just about every vehicle she's driven.)
* MeaningfulName ("Shun"/"Speed/quick"; "Siegel"/"Victory")
* MissedTheCall (She wasn't one of the chosen ones, after all. Grant it, she did get another call later on.)
* NeverLiveItDown (Shun's tenure as a villain was very brief...but Kae acts like it never ended and refuses to call her anything but "Kasoku". After so much of this, Shun Understatement kind of snaps at her.)
* PureEnergy
* WeakButSkilled (Her alter-ego has explicitly less power than the Cures. She makes up with this with her already well-honed fighting abilities and creative uses of what powers she is given.)
* Why Did It Have To Be Storms? (She's afraid of lightning. Naturally, she has to cope with this later on.)

The Former Cures

----

!!! Yoshimoto Kimi (color:palevioletred:Cure Lepus) | [-Voice Actor: Ryoko Nagata (Japanese); Candi Milo (English)-]

Kimi is a somewhat reclusive teahouse owner, as well as the leader of the previous Cure team. At first glance, she is quietly strong-willed and a bit motherly, but shows a more haunted and lost side in her private moments.

* BarrierMaiden
* Blue-Green Eyes
* DatingCatwoman (in her backstory)

* You Remind Me Of Me (Feels this way about Hiroko)

!!! Ishii Marina (color:sienna:Cure Ushi) | [-Voice Actor: Naomi Shindo (Japanese); B.J. Ward (English)-]

Marina is a scientist who worked with Hiroko's father on geological surveys. She is cold, analytical, and guarded, having difficulty with expressing herself on "normal" terms, but secretly hurts more for her teammates then she would ever let on or comprehend.

* AnIcePerson
* BarrierMaiden
* BrainyBrunette
* EmotionlessGirl (Or so she says. She has emotions, she's just out of touch with them.)
* HatesBeingTouched

* SpockSpeak
* StoicSpectacles (A female example)

!!! Gotou Rie (color:gold:Cure Saru) | [-Voice Actor: Ayako Kawasumi (Japanese); Jessica Calvello (English)-]

Rie, better known as Maria, is a radio DJ who is a sultry and mature personality on the airwaves...but a moeblob who still looks like a teenager in real life. Rie is perhaps the most openly friendly of the previous Cures and is still perpetually cheerful...or at least acts that way in an effort to lighten the mood.

* BarrierMaiden
* ExtraOreDinary

!!! Kimura Yuriko (color:blue:Cure Tenma) | [-Voice Actor: Marina Inoue (Japanese); Julie Ann Taylor (English)-]

Yuriko is a tomboyish woman who repairs broken appliances and plays a mean violin. She is also one of the two Cures that had their Cure Spirits forcibly taken from them during their last battle, and a bit more melancholy than she'd let on.

* AdultChild (She certainly doesn't act twenty-five)
* AloofAlly (In a sense)
* BarrierMaiden
* FieryRedhead
* IdolSinger (She was briefly one named "Yuri-chan")
* Malaproper

* VerbalTic (Has something like this, ya know?)

!!! Ando Shiori (color:darkslategray:Cure Serpent) | [-Voice Actor: Junko Iwao (Japanese); June Angela (English)-]

Shiori is a somewhat mousy literature teacher at Mirai Academy. She is kind, sweet, and lovable on the surface, but deeply pessimistic and often depressed on the inside. She distrusts the new Cures and like her partner, plans on reclaiming her Cure powers and replacing them.

* AloofAlly (In a sense)

!!! Devil King Aseimera

Aseimera is the monstrous leader of the current incarnation of the Empire, who spends most of his time doing nothing but yelling at his subordinates, and making life a living hell for his subjects. He is bitter against the people of Kyukai and aims to destroy it, and later the world...because he can. Unfortunately for Aseimera, his most dangerous enemies aren't humans, but the people right under his nose.

The Black Triumvirate

----

!!! Hinyu / Kemurino Hayate | [-Voice Actor: Takashi Kondo (Japanese); Dougary Grant (English)-]

Hinyu is the King's right-hand man and the closest thing the Triumvirate has to a leader. Refined but cold-hearted, Hinyu believes himself to be the rightful ruler of the Empire and is plotting to overthrow Aseimera whenever convenient. He feigns loyalty and camaraderie with his teammates, and to a lesser degree, his personal mercenaries, the Magnificent Trio, but ultimately sees everyone around him as toys to be used and then thrown away.

* BadassCape
* BadHabits (For some reason, he often disguises himself as a preacher.)
* Bishonen (He's hardly a positive example, though.)
* CunningLikeAFox (Kitsune Of course!)
* TheDragon
** DragonInChief (Aseimera really isn't in any shape to run things, let alone fight, and Hinyu knows it.)
* Evil GreenEyedRedhead
* FacialMarkings (Resembling whiskers)
* IronicNurseryTune (Often sings ballads under his breath as he's planning an attack. Among his favorites are "Teddy Bear's Picnic", "Donald, Where's Your Trousers?", and "Metallica Welcome Home (Sanitarium)".)
* ManipulativeBastard
* PlayingWithFire
* TermsOfEndangerment (Mainly towards Hiroko, who's understandably creeped out)
* UnusualEars (They're fox-like, naturally. He hides them under a hat when disguised.)
* WeaponOfChoice (Flare Cue)
* WickedCultured (AGlassOfChianti Wine glass and all)

!!! Tamakushi | [-Voice Actor: Shizuka Ito (Japanese); Megan Hollingshead (English)-]

Tamakushi is the King's detached and apathetic messenger and the only woman of the Triumvirate. She really doesn't care who she's serving, as long as she can use them. Most of her attacks and schemes are spurred by hatred and jealousy and rely on some form of trickery. She revels in the suffering and pain of others, be they friend or foe.

* TheBaroness
* TheBlank (though she can alter her appearance, false face included, to get around this.)
* DarkActionGirl
* DeathGlare (Her specialty...somehow, despite not having any eyes.)
* EvilGenius
* LovesTheSoundOfScreaming (Flat-out states this during episode 1)
* Me's A Crowd (Her powers allow her to create doppelgangers capable of taking on the form of anyone she's seen)
* MostCommonSuperpower
* PaleSkinnedBrunette
* PowerFist (Phantom Gauntlets)
* ShapeshifterGuiltTrip (A favorite tactic of hers involves assuming the appearance of the Cures' loved ones to keep them from attacking her. It doesn't always work in her favor, though.)
* SoulPower
* SpyCatsuit (Wears a deep scarlet one)

!!! Seimono | [-Voice Actor: Toshio Furukawa (Japanese); John Snyder (English)-]

Seimono is the ogrelike resident strongman and the oldest of the Triumvirate, who was the only one to face the previous Cures, however briefly. In spite of his brutish appearance, he is the most civil of the three, and can be oddly philosophical at times. He is always trying to meditate between his fellows and is extremely protective of his personal vassal, Kamryou.

* AffablyEvil (He's not above trying to be civil to his opponents before punching them through a wall.)
* BaldOfEvil
* BlackEyes
* TheBrute
* CarryABigStick
* DishingOutDirt
* EvilDuo (with Kamryou)
* GoodScarsEvilScars (Has a very prominent one from a stab wound the king gave him)
* MightyGlacier (He's very slow but has the toughness and offense to compensate. Fittingly, he's also the largest of his team.)
* MinionShipping (with Kamryou...maybe)
* MoralityChain (for Kamryou, who is a bit unstable without his influence)
* RealMenWearPink (The manliest-looking of the Triumvirate and the guy who wears pastel colors while disguised and is evidently quite skilled at baking and sewing)
* TheStoic

!!! Kamryou | [-Voice Actor: Mayumi Yamaguchi (Japanese); Rachael Lillis (English)-]

Kamryou is a genderless figure resembling a living rag doll. Zie has no status as a Triumvirate member and instead acts as Seimono's personal vassal, providing much-needed support for him both in and out of battle. Kamryou is repeatedly implied to have feelings for Seimono and claims zie would only be "half a person" without him.

* AntiquatedLinguistics (A straight example)
* BattleButler (to Seimono)
* BlackEyes (in human form)
* DarkChick
* EvilDuo (with Seimono)
* Flight
* FragileSpeedster (Good for support and evasion, terrible at offense and defense)
* HairTriggerTemper (Sometimes shows signs of this. It takes Seimono to reel zir in.)
* IOweYouMyLife (This is how zie met Seimono and one of the reasons for their closeness.)
* MinionShipping (with Seimono, though zie denies it's anything but a master-servant relationship.)
* ScaryScarecrows (Described as having a passing resemblance to one)
* White Haired Pretty Androgyne (in human form)

The Magnificent Trio

-> "The doubly-effective leader, Kae Asjun Dama!"

-> "Precure...we'll kill you dead! Then we'll see who's laughing, netsu!"

Kae A. Dama is the Trio's leader. Beneath her somewhat cute and disarmingly incompetent veneer beats the heart of a selfish type incapable of feeling compassion for others. She is actually part of a set of conjoined twins with one body and two faces on opposite sides of the same head, but has a complex about this fact.

* BerserkButton (She does not like being reminded that she's a conjoined twin. Also, ACupAngst don't call her flat.)
* BlackMagicianGirl
* BoomStick (The Eclipse Rod, which she handles like a shotgun...when she's not using it to bop her henchmen over the head.)
* Creepy ConjoinedTwins (with Shahei. She's the "bad" twin, natch)
* CutHisHeartOutWithASpoon (The threats she throws at the Cures after her defeats just get more bizarre...)
* DarkIsEdgy
* DetachedSleeves
* GoodSmokingEvilSmoking (She's sometimes seen smoking inside Club Tsukikage, despite obviously getting sick -- she thinks it makes her look cool.)
* HazelEyes → Yellow Eyes (in her true form)
* HugeGuyTinyGirl (with Kooyoo, though she plays the general trope straight with all of her henchmen.)
* InsistentTerminology (She is a great crime boss, not "some crazy lady". She also insists on her henchmen addressing her as "Boss" at all times.)
* MyNameIsNotDurwood (It's not Kaedama, dang it!)
* Noblewoman's Laugh
* PureIsNotGood (Shahei often refers to her as "my pure-hearted sister". This is not a compliment.)
* RapunzelHair (Waist-length, though it shrinks to a more manageable form when disguised. It's also mildly animate, but not enough to do much.)
* StuffBlowingUp (Can create charms that can be planted and triggered to explode later if need be)
* VillainousHarlequin
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair

!!! color:royalblue:Shahei A. / Ippahara Yuzuki | [-Voice Actor: Kumiko Watanabe (Japanese); Edie Mirman (English)-]

-> "It doesn't feel right anymore, jitsu. Do you really believe we're reaching a bright future? Or are we hurtling into a black pit, jitsu ka?"

Shahei A. is Kae's long-suffering twin. She is gentle and composed, but also mired in a trap of learned helplessness and resigned to her situation of being treated more like a tool than another being. After taking up the alias of Yuzuki to spy on the Cures, Shahei gains a chance to experience what real affection is and slowly changes her outlook on life.

* BeautyMark (Near the outside corner of her right eye, conveying the traditional anime meaning)
* BoomStick (The Eclipse Rod, which she handles more like a staff.)
* Creepy ConjoinedTwins (with Kae. She's the "good" twin, natch.)
* CreepyMonotone (It's gentler than most, though, and not as pronounced when she's disguised.)
* DarkMagicalGirl
* DetachedSleeves
* Emotionally Repressed Girl
* ExtremeDoormat (Acts like this towards Kae, but secretly hates it -- Shahei just doesn't see any other options.)

* LightTheWay
* MeaningfulName (Her alias: "Ippahara"/"Split field"; "Yuzuki"/"Gentleness moon")
* Meganekko (as "Yuzuki")
* RapunzelHair (Waist-length, though it shrinks to a more manageable form when disguised. It's also mildly animate, but not enough to do much.)
* StaffChick (and hence, TheMedic)
* What Is This Thing You Call "Love"? (Struggles with this, less because of her nature and more because of her past)
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair

-> "The never-ending fighter, Rasa Kooyoo!"

R. Kooyoo is the usually easy-going apelike DumbMuscle of the Trio, who is unconditionally loyal to Kae despite getting little thanks in return. Kooyoo is valued mostly for his love of battle and his ability to put a severe beatdown on opponents when riled up, but this can be as much as a liability to the Trio as it is an asset.

!!! color:purple:P. Tobi / Kuromori Shouta | [-Voice Actor: Tomokazu Sugita (Japanese); Steve Bulen (English)-]

-> "The razor-sharp planner, Potai Tobi!"

-> "I didn't return because I missed you that much, osra. It simply became apparent that I belong here, whether you acknowledge that or not."

P. Tobi is Kae's birdlike lieutenant and the team's (comparative) sane man, forever bemoaning his "meaningless job". Tobi mainly spends his time keeping Kooyoo in check and alternately snarking at and trying to help Kae to the best of his abilities. Secretly, he's madly in love with his boss and futiley hopes she'll return his feelings.
