* TheTeamBenefactor: It's hinted that she's funding the income of the other Shadow Operatives (because technically, they're employees of the Kirijo Group), as Akihiko is travelling the world, Ken is able to live as a student on his own (with Koromaru as his pet) despite no parental income, and Junpei works as a baseball coach (which presumably doesn't pay well).

* PuppetFighter: Koromaru and Ken fight together using a unique system. Koro follows Ken around when he moves, and can use his own regular and Super attacks when the player presses certain buttons. He also has his own separate health bar; when it's depleted, he is out of the fight until it refills, however the player can dismiss Koromaru at any time to let him recover at the cost of losing some damage during certain Super attacks.

* SchmuckBait: When the Shadow Operatives were first petitioning the government for legitimacy, they gave them a truckful of gadgets and evidence from the Kirijo Group's bad old days- but told them not to touch any of it until they were shown how to do so safely. Of course, some did- and found themselves plunged into the Dark Hour. Nobody died, because an Operative was close enough to rescue them in time, but the horror of it convinced them to legitimize the Shadow Operatives' group. Afterwards, it's found out that Kikuno ''deliberately'' invoked the trope, because she wanted her employers to be taken seriously.
