Fiendish divinity is a general term for [[DemonLordsAndArchdevils demon lords, archdevils, archdaemons]], and other fiendish demigods. Most notable amongst them are the Demon Lords of the Abyss, the Four Horsemen who rule Abaddon, and the lords of the nine layers of Hell.

* TheChessmaster: He's a devious tactician, having thousands of years to hone his intellect and understanding. This is best shown with his cunning at the Worldwound crusades. The initial attack from his armies was deliberately allowed to be undisciplined and chaotic in order to make their enemies underestimate them in the future, all while also providing a distraction for other demons to teleport elsewhere across Golarion. Nowadays he's perfectly capable of marching out in full force to crush the mortal opposition entirely, but he prefers to sit back and yet the years of pressure take its toll on his enemies and lead them to destroying themselves through corruption and sin. The current Horseman of Pestilence, Apollyon devotes his time to the manufacture of planet shattering diseases. Having come out on top in the civil war between harbingers when the last Horseman of Pestilence mysteriously vanished, Apollyon keeps one ear to the ground for any news of his predecessor's return.

* AsskickingLeadsToLeadership: When his predecessor, Yrsinius vanished, Apollyon defeated all-comers to become the new Horseman of Pestilence. Daemon society in general is also structured this way.

Once Lamashtu's consort, and before that the first minotaur, Baphomet tried to steal Asmodeus's ruby rod to gain even greater favor. Asmodeus captured him, carving his symbol into the demon's brow and casting him into a labyrinth. After only a decade, the demon lord escaped the supposedly unsolvable maze and took it with him back to the Abyss to use as his personal domain.

* YouAreWhatYouHate: As a qlippoth, he deeply hated demons for having taken control of the Abyss from his race and having wiped out most qlippoth in the process, and he sought to wiped the multiverse of demonkind. He eventually transformed into a demon lord himself, but his views haven't changed -- he just extended his hatred of demons to himself.

Perhaps the most prominent demon lord known to Golarion, it was Deskari who tore open the breach to the Abyss known as the Worldwound. Despite the crusades mobilized against him, his reach grows ever outward from the rift as his many plans bear fruit.

* DemonOfHumanOrigin: Unlike almost all other demon lords, who originated as mortals that died, went to the Abyss, became larvae and gradually metamorphosed into stronger and stronger demons until they reached divinity, Kostchtchie ascended to his position without ever having died. He simply charged into the Abyss and basked in its chaos and evil until he became a demon, and then a demon lord, himself. He is immensely proud of this.

Because of this, in 1st Edition, he's considered to be a native outsider (and not an extraplanar one like every other demon is), and if he's killed then his essence will not return to the Abyss and his death is permanent.

* NewTechnologyIsEvil: His domain includes several areas closely linked with technological progress: [[ShockAndAwe Electricity]], [[StuffBLowingUp explosions]], [[GadgeteerGenius artifice]], poisonous metals, and infamously [[TheGunslinger firearms]].
