This character has gone under some aliases, namely Snotra Bergström and Indís Oathdir, but her true identity is that of Daphne Oðrsson, the nymph. Bloom's older sister, who spent about 20 years as a tormented, incorporeal spirit. And this does draw lots of parallelism between her and Sylvanas which ultimately allows for the two of them kind of bonding then working jointly when their goals coalesce at the face of a common enemy (Eudora). Daphne is, at the same time, the most heroic and the most villainous character. All she's ever done is for the [[TheNeedsOfTheMany greater good]]'s sake (as her nymph duties demand from her), but living in a CrapsackWorld has left her with no options other than to make her family believe she has died and hide behind different personas in order to manipulate (read use as tools without taking their feelings/consent into account) several people: her little sister, her little sister's daughters (causing these two too much trauma and pain), Magix's army (she founded the Tyrannus Division, after all), and at some point even the Winx themselves. The thing is, were not for that, Magix would have succumbed to Eudora's machinations long ago because not even Bloom and Stella, two of the most powerful fairies in Magix, ever stood a chance against Eudora. At least she had to sacrifice both a significant part of her reincarnation-type immortality ''and'' her happiness for the years she's got left. Talk about retribution.

Because being part of this elite guard is their new purpose in life plus they are well-treated outside battle, the Vakdrak are bombs that don't need to be [[DefusingTheTykeBomb defused]]. Furthermore, they are way more faithful and efficient long-term than most of the characters that fit this trope. One of them did opt-out, but it was more about clashing ideals rather than abuse.

%% * AbusiveParents: Parents are meant to be who children go to for support, but these ones abuse their kids. Sky is of the neglectful flavor.

Sylvanas, in this fic, has retained virtually all of her canonical traits, especially her characteristic bitterness, ruthlessness, and pragmatism. However, a key diverging event distinguishes her from her Battle of Azeroth self — where she took the megalomaniacal route, set Teldrassil on fire, and made an enemy out of pretty much everyone. In ''Paradoxus'', she has died as of Legion while attempting to seize the Val'kyrs' power (Genn Greymane is her murderer). Inevitably, she has gotten in the hellish Limbo again. Fortunately for her, Galadwen comes to her rescue, severs Sylvana's bond to the Jailer, and gives her a new chance under the condition Sylvanas will join her cause. Years later, Sylvanas meets Bloom and forms an alliance with her that leads to sort of a friendship which is why Sylvanas takes freshly-orphaned Trisha under her wing and trains her as a Dark Ranger. Naturally, Sylvanas and her Forsaken are the greatest opposition still standing against Eudora.

* UnstablePoweredWoman: {{Averted}} since Galadwen cut her ties to the Jailer, thus preventing her from her canonical sliding down the slippery slope as she gained more power from said entity.

* BewareTheSillyOnes: {{Downplayed}}} because Galadwen is only a goofball (and a deadpan snarker) when Sylvanas is around. Towards the rest of the characters, she's still cheerful but more serious. She's every bit of an interdimensional threat, though. So much, we are glad she's on the side of the good guys.

Iladris' status as the princess of the Forsaken was a result of Sylvanas having an OutOfCharacter moment and adopting her because her biological mother intended to sacrifice her to get to Kael'Thas. Or it may be because Sylvanas was given a new opportunity by Galadwen and hasn't died again for more than 200 years so, of course, she has time to raise a daughter. Iladris' blood is Sunstrider and she's very alive, thank you very much. In elf terms, she's 60 years old but only entering her adolescence. Her skill set comprises the Dark Ranger abilities, a contract with the fire elementals, knowledge about the Void, and being a superb strategist. Iladris is also Daphne Altalune's ClosetKey.

* NamesToRunAwayReallyFast: Altalune can testify this -- she only survived her encounter against Eudora because of a Nymph ex Machina. Vidia's squad, on the other hand, turned into a RedShirtArmy when they had the bad luck to meet Eudora while investigating [[spoiler: Solaria's Royal Palace and searching for the king (Brandon)]].

** Altalune as the [[RedOniBlueOni Red Oni]] -- she's extroverted, aggressive, and severely lacking in the planning department. However, the main hue of her color palette is actually blue. Personality-wise, she matches the hot-tempered but charismatic Bloom. Like her parents, she's also the {{Leader}} of the time travelers (enforced because General Darko chose her as the squad captain).
** Trisha as the [[RedOniBlueOni Blue Oni]] -- she's smart, deceptively {{Stoic}}, and hates being in the limelight. Like her sister, the main hue of her color palette is another irony (it's red). Barring her stubbornness, her role as TheLancer and subdued personality are very contrasting from her parents'.
** Stacy as the CoolBigSis. She's the oldest of the quintet and acts more like a big sister towards the aloof Trisha than her actual sister has ever done. However, she is relatively calm and very anxiety-ridden. This marks her as different from her parents, far more outgoing, fun-loving, and carefree whose role was to be the respective {{Lancer}}s of their groups.
** Gilliam as TheHeart. She was specifically selected to accompany the main trio to act as a buffer between the belligerent sisters Altalune and Trisha. This points how much Gilliam takes after her parents who were also {{The Heart}}s of their respective groups.
** And Zoe as the SmartGirl in charge of the [[{{Magitek}} technomagic]]-related problems the team would encounter -- a role she partially shares with Trisha. Partially because while Trisha was the one to develop the theoretical framework of time travel, it's Zoe who repairs the ship and hacks the system to get the team false [=ID=]s. Her role is identical to that of her parents.

* ChromaticArrangement: The protagonist trio's attires have plenty of black with some brown peppered here and there. As a result, they are distinguished by the most contrasting hue of their color palettes. For Trisha is red (her hair), for Atalune is blue (her eyes), and for Stacy is yellow (her hair and eyes).

* DarkActionGirl: The narrative itself ponders about it early in the plot.

* SpeedSmartsAndStrenght: Respectively Stacy, Trisha, and Altalune. When it comes to fighting, Stacy is a Rogue type whose light magic grants her instant teleportation and speed that breaks the sound barrier. Trisha, on her part, is a Hunter type that relies on strategy rather than raw power. And Altalune, as a Warrior type, is the strongest of the trio.

Bloom's younger daughter and the resident CosmicPlaything. She might have been named after the very first fairy (Arcadia) but, boy, she's the [[BornUnlucky unluckiest being]] in a world plagued with miserable people. She's also the WildCard that allowed unknown-to-her, hidden machinations to succeed. So, yeah, there ''is'' a reason for her suffering. She had a very happy childhood until the day she witnessed her mother's assassination. Her father became neglectful and, thus, didn't lift a finger when she was sent to a TrainingFromHell under the ruthless Sylvanas Windrunner. Next, she returned to a ravaged Domino and had to take morally gray actions (which traumatized her) to deter the Burning Legion's advance. Since Domino's denizens designated her the ReplacementGoldfish for her mother, they harshly judged her for this, even going as far as to try and mob her. To top it all, her own big sister (Altalune) blames her for their mother's demise. As a result, she's now a BrokenAce -- aloof, poker-faced, and depressed as hell. She travels to the past along with her older sister, Stacy, Gilliam, and Zoe in an attempt to prevent Bloom and Stella's deaths.
