!!Nene Nanakorobi

* AchievementsInIgnorance: Nene's so adept in making use of her cyborg body that she's capable of things other people would normally think would be ''impossible''.
** For example, in the penultimate episode, she helps Bunny hack the Imperial American security protocols so that they could get out of the incinerator they were trapped in. When they finally get out, Bunny THEN realizes that the jury-rigged console she made ''wasn't even plugged in into Nene''. This meant that Nene used her own remote access system ''unknowingly'' to deactivate the incinerator.

* CutenessProximity: She literally goes ga-ga over Clarion, and it doesn't take much to get her to cooperate with Uzal's zany scheme because it gives her the chance to be close to Clarion.
* {{Cyborg}}: Her brain was transplanted into a mechanical body because of a severe illness (in the mangua it is called "Pyxis Syndrome") and/or an accident (the manga itself and the volume descriptions send mixed signals). Since the technology is in its infancy, her body has obvious joints which can lead to her being mistaken for an android.

** Nene volunteers to take Clarion's place and shut down BUER's main body once it goes berserk in the final episode. [[spoiler:Obviously, it doesn't stick, as she DOES manage to stop BUER in time, and gets returned to Clarion unharmed.]]
** Apparently her parents saved her from a house fire at the cost of their lives.

* JumpedAtTheCall: Really, she could have just easily walked away when the initial Cenancle Island attacks happened, but nope, she just had to go back and make sure Clarion was safe.
* SkilledButNaive: A master at anything gained from the Pandora Device, trusts someone she just met too easily.

* KnightInShiningArmor: Nene has come to think of Clarion as her "cat prince" after Clarion saved her life during the Hermes department store fire.

!!Uzal Delilah

* AmbiguousSituation: In the final episode, [[spoiler:we see what seems to be Uzal appearing before Kurtz, which distracts him long enough for him to get buried by the rubble from the collapsing underground base. And it's STILL not made clear whether it's really Uzal, or another of her holographic projections.]]

* ColorFailure: Out of exasperation after her rebellious subordinates break into her lab to beg her to bring BUER under her control again including an recursive case of GivingUpTheGhost.

* ReformedButNotTamed: Even though she left [[spoiler:the real BigBad, the villanous organization "Poseidon"]], she is often ready to use questionable means and is a real dick to her subordinates (who mostly deserve their treatment, though) but her close associates know she wouldn't do something really evil (e.g. Takumi knew that the black-box devices installed by Uzal in Nene's cyborg body wouldn't be dangerous to Nene in any way because they were made by Uzal).

!!Takumi Korobase

* AssShove: When she got food poisoning from eating an expired chocolate bar, one of the treatments Nene tried to use (after she installed the knowledge to act as a paramedic) was an suppository.
* BerserkButton[=/=]MaamShock: She may be Nene's aunt, but she doesn't like being called "oba-san" (Auntie).

* {{Hikikomori}}: Takumi is usually overwhelmed with social anxiety and has to hide behind her Gertsecommas whenever somebody sees her face-to-face. She does all her work in cyberspace and never leaves her mansion.
* MadScientist: She holds key patents, funds important research and is extremely influential in the business world, but she looks and acts like a bratty child. She also has an obsessive rivalry against Uzal.

A giant boring robot owned by Uzal's company that possesses a giant laser. While its main body resembles a giant eyeball, its Central Nervous Unit, which detaches itself after the main body is shut down, takes the form a gentlemanly but perverted lion-esque creature with three legs.

A "security adviser" from Imperial Americana brought in to monitor Cenancle Island's stability. He is secretly trying to gain access to BUER's main body, and the constant network disruptions experienced by the island are an indirect result of his subordinates trying to hack through BUER's systems.

* AGodAmI: After he [[spoiler:was denied control over BUER, his combat robot Fear was destroyed, his subordinates neutralized and he himself apparently discharged from the Imperial American military, he went off the deep end and wanted to kill everyone with a land-mate (a combat mecha) for rejecting the "god of the new world", him.]]

* SmugSnake: He spends most of the series believing that he's got the situation at Cenancle Island under his control, when it turns out that he's been out-maneuvered and played [[spoiler:by Uzal]] the entire time.
