The former fourth member of the Sweet Commanders. He is the 25th son of the Charlotte Family. He was bested by Urouge not long before Luffy and company arrived at Totto Land, during their two years of inactivity. That defeat resulted in his title being stripped from him.

* {{Unperson}}: Narrowly subverted due to being mentioned offhandedly by Charlotte Brulee and Pound. You would hardly know this guy existed and that there was one more Sweet Commander than there are now if not for their commentary, because unlike Doflamingo's vacant Heart seat among his executives which is meaningfully left intact to pay due to the dead/fallen occupants, there isn't any vacancy left behind with Snack out of the picture, suggesting that Big Mom is impassioned ''not'' to remember his defeat and pretend it didn't happen/ignore the fact it happened because it was shameful.
* TheWorfEffect: [[UpToEleven Defeated before even being introduced]], but in a flashback added to the anime, his towering size made it clear he was not to be trifled with. Urouge used his Devil Fruit to withstand Snack in a difficult battle and beat him. And given that the lowest known bounty among them is 860 million berries and his defeat was enough to incite a second commander and company to come after the one who beat him, this is a stunning accomplishment.

** Averted; One would think the Straw Hats would have to face off against all of the executive forces of an ArcVillain to get to their leader- this time, a fourth of their work has already been done for them.

* AnimeHair: In an anime only flashback made prior to Snack's reveal in the manga, the silhouetted character meant to be Snack has spiky hair which is seen when he collapses. The actual Snack though apparently has a hairstyle that looks like a stack of takoyaki.

* Sizeshifter: When her fleet takes over chasing after the Thousand Sunny, [[spoiler: it's revealed that she has the ability to grow larger. She becomes practically the size of a giant and only stopped growing further else risk sinking her ship that she was standing on. She became this big in order to send out giant sized SwordBeam attacks at the fleeing Sunny.]]

* FourIsDeath: As mentioned above, there used to be a fourth member named "Snack", who lost his/her ranking after being defeated by "Mad Monk" Urouge in the past.

* AnimeHair: His hair is spiky, seen when he collapses.

* BadassCape: Seen wearing a big, fluttering cape behind him.

* SinisterSilhouettes: We have not seen his full appearance, because the anime flashback featuring him occurs at a time when Oda hasn't even introduced Snack's look to the manga- but it does invite the possibility that we may see him soon. From his silhouetted appearance, providing that the anime isn't taking too many liberties and is pulling his appearance from Oda's intended design for Snack, it also suggests he has some set of bladed weapons on him.

The current roster includes 2nd son Katakuri (considered the stronger of the three), 14th daughter Smoothie and 10th son Cracker. There were originally four Sweet Commanders, but the fourth one, Snack, lost his rank after being defeated by "Mad Monk" Urouge; whether this resulted in Snack's death, demotion or something else altogether is unknown.

%%NOTICE: There is an unnamed character who appears among prominent members of the Charlotte Family in Chapter 885 as Mont-d'Or is alerting everyone to mobilize. He is wearing a large crested helmet with horns and has body armor. There is suspicion that this is actually Charlotte Snack due to the similarity this figure bears to the silhouette in the anime when it is highlighted to show outlines of an outfit almost strikingly identical to the armored soldier. Because nothing has been confirmed yet, this note is for editors as a heads-up in case this turns out to be Snack and will remained commented out for the time being.

* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: Absolutely ''enormous'' even compared to his fellow Commanders and Crackers's Biscuit Soldier form.

* TheGhost: He's a figment of the past who had major authority in Totto Land, but there's no mention of his current status. Snack doesn't look like he's appearing any time soon and has only been used as a framing device.
* PosthumousCharacter: There's no telling if Snack is dead or not, but after getting defeated in the past, he/she doesn't appear in the present.

* UncertainDoom: We don't know if Snack died after being defeated, was left for dead, [[DefeatEqualsFriendship decided to join the Fallen Monk Pirates]], or [[YouHaveFailedMe was killed as punishment]], but we ''do'' know what happened led to his dismissal from the Sweet Commanders. Considering he fell to a member of a group Big Mom sees as paltry at best, it was a huge upset.
* TheUnfought: Oh, you bet your ass Snack is one. Well, at least for the Straw Hats. Urouge of all people beat him, one of the characters nobody had expected to be capable of tangoing with an enemy of that caliber. However, it would not be out of the question for him to appear again, as Oda doesn't like killing off characters unless he really has to. After all, what good would it do for the story for Oda to have a throwaway character be a commander in one of the most powerful enemies in the series? He's probably got a plan for Snack's debut up his sleeve.

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Snack's fate remains curiously unknown.

* WalikingShirtlessScene: [[spoiler:Becomes this after he undergoes CharacterDevelopment in Chapter 893 and discards his scarf and jacket. His {{Gonk}} face]] might be a [[NightmareFace nightmare]] to look at, but ''hot damn'', his body is quite ripped.

* DidntSeeThatComing: Ironically. Both times.

* ProngsOfPoseidon: His WeaponOfChoice along with jellybeans is a trident. It's currently unclear if it's a regular trident or one made of his Devil Fruit power.

* TattooedCrook: He has a skull shaped tattoo on his arm as well as few stripes on his torso.

* DeconstructiveParody: Of TheStoic NoNonsenseNemesis Archtype. Have you ever considered how do they maintain their stoicism and seriousness all the time? [[spoiler:His stoicism is necessary to keep his Observation Haki working]]. Or what are they really like when no one's watching? [[spoiler:Gorging on donuts and tea and singing like a happy pirate, without a care in the world.]]

* VillainRespect: [[spoiler: As Luffy continues to tank, dodge, or counter his best moves over the course of their duel, he gradually stops looking down on him. His respect is permanently solidified when Luffy shrugs off his apology for Flampe's interference and helps him knock her and her subordinates out (with Conqueror's Haki) so they can continue their battle without interruption]].

* WhamShot: One that is unsettling as it is hilarious. [[spoiler:After several chapters being portrayed as a stoic, no-nonsense guy who prioritizes work over fun unlike his hedonistic siblings and even treats ''mealtimes'' as a duty, he's later exposed as a gluttonous slob who loves shoveling sweets and tea into his freakish mouth, full of rows of sharp, boar-like teeth. Yeah, the readers were as shocked as Luffy and those (deceased) chefs were]].

* ClimaxBoss: ''Highly'' formidable compared to the rest of the Big Mom Pirates- we're talking as bad as [[AxCrazy Jack]], if not '''worse.''' In fact, the biggest threat aside from Big Mom in the whole Totto Land Arc, who only comes into the foray when the tea party commences, [[KnightOfCerebus but from that moment on, he is shown racking up a body count with no effort and bringing an incredible sense of danger along with him]] and being the one person who is able to assist his ''entire'' family at once when they are incapacitated. His ClimaxBoss status was cemented in Chapter 878 when Luffy forced him into a mano o mano confrontation to cut off his pursuit of the Straw Hat Pirate.

* EvilChef: He describes himself as a pastry artist and he's also a pirate working for [[AxCrazy Big Mom]].

* TouchOfDeath: She can wring the "juices" out of someone, leaving them a dried up husk.

* AloofBigBrother: Subverted. Threatening and perpetually pissed-off-looking he may be, but Katakuri cares about his family on some level, and his stoic facade is necessary to keep his Haki-based foresight up and running. [[BigBrotherInstinct One way to piss him off is to go after his siblings]]. He was apparently so beloved that one of his younger sisters, Flambe, is the leader of a fan club dedicated to him and competes for his attention, to the point where [[spoiler:she interferes with the fight with Luffy]].

* BadBoss: While he's normally good to his men, doing things such as leading them back into the mirror-world to save them from being knocked out by Luffy's Haki, and accepting cooled black tea to lessen stress on the chefs providing him snack foods, he does ''not'' tolerate ''anybody'' [[spoiler:seeing his freakish mouth]], going so far as to murder his chefs on the spot when they see his true form and behavior.
* BaitTheDog: Inverted. Katakuri starts off looking like a very principled and disciplined bad guy. We are led to believe he is totally no-nonsense and handsome. So much so that, according to Brulee, he never lays down and is said to never let his guard down. Then he erects a shrine to prevent people from seeing him eating for the same reasons. But then the twist is revealed once Luffy breaks in... [[spoiler:because inside, Katakuri is '''lying down''', gorging himself on donuts with a '''smile''', and it is revealed to all that he has a mouth filled with sharpened teeth that is the stuff of nightmares.]]

** [[spoiler:Seeing him while eating and making a comment about his freakish mouth that sounds even remotely close to an insult, even a FreudianSlip.]]

* BigEater: [[spoiler:Revealed to be one when he gets annoyed that his fight with Luffy delayed his daily snack time by almost an hour and is given a cartload of inner tube-sized donuts to chow down on. Takes on a more literal sense of the term when we see he actually has a mouth filled with fangs attached to his face, one he is not shy of using his mochi-powers on to make it bigger just to fit more in his mouth while eating.]]

* BondVillainStupidity: [[spoiler:No, dude, leaving Luffy to suffocate in a mochi tomb is not going to work. You should have just postponed your snack time to make sure that he was actually dead first.]] A single instance [[spoiler:because he was craving his sugar fix]] amidst a lifetime of PragmaticVillainy .

* BrokenPedestal: To his little sister, Flampe [[spoiler:after he shows her his fanged mouth and tells her off for interfering with the fight with Luffy, instead of being proud like Flampe expected. This breaks her image of Katakuri as the perfect, dependable brother and makes her loathe him]].

* CharacterDevelopment: Oddly enough for an antagonist, yes. [[spoiler:He develops a deep respect for Luffy over the course of their fight, which is only aided by how Luffy has only judged him by his capabilities as an opponent rather than the idealized image that Katakuri has cultivated for his family, and not the physical and personality flaws that shock and disgust the latter's crew. Eventually, after his sister Flampe tries to interferes in their fight, Katakuri finally breaks out of the SlaveToPR mindset that he has adhered to for most of his life to fight Luffy as himself, ''for'' himself, on even grounds. This is further symbolized by how he rips off his jacket after knocking out all the spectators -- the same jacket that bears his family's name on its back]].

* DeathGlare: His default expression. It becomes more intense when he undergoes moments of OhCrap [[spoiler:such as foreseeing Big Mom's wedding plans going down the crapper and being unable to stop it.]]
* DeconstructiveParody: Of TheStoic NoNonsenseNemesis Archtype. Have you ever considered how do they maintain their stoicism and seriousness all the time? Or what are they really like when no one's watching? [[spoiler: Gorging on donuts and tea without a care in the world.]]

** [[spoiler:His {{Pride}}. He's so ashamed of his gluttony that if you witness it, mention it, or mock it in even the slightest manner, Katakuri will become so blinded with rage his focus will be torn away from battle and he'll forget to maintain his Observation Haki, which means he'll be left open to attack.]]

*** While both are very powerful fighters, Cracker boasts a big game yet prefers to hide behind his Biscuit Soldiers because he dislikes pain. Katakuri is very willing to get his own hands dirty and fights at the forefront, and as a result, he's proven himself to be an even deadlier opponent than Cracker.

* FreudianExcuse: [[spoiler:Katakuri kept hiding his fanged mouth with his scarf because he was bullied and feared for having the mouth of a "pelican eel". It's such a sore spot for him that he kills anyone who sees it. Flampe and her crew ridiculing him and taking humiliating pictures reminded him of what he went through as a child]].

* GlasgowGrin: [[spoiler:Underneath his scarf is a mouth full of sharp, thin fangs, connected by stitched scars on both sides of his face.]]

* HellbentForLeather: He wears a tough-looking, all-leather getup somewhat resembling a cross between a {{Cowboy}} and a BadassBiker, which contrasts the silly-looking, circus-like outfits of his siblings. [[spoiler:Which is also a clue to what he's truly like on the inside when ]]
* HideYourOtherness: [[spoiler: He's ''extremely'' insecure about his jagged, boar-like teeth, and hides them under his scarf at all times as long as he's not eating. He even kills anybody who happens to see it (along with his slovenly snacking habits, for that matter).]]
* HonorBeforeReason: When he realizes that his sister Flampe had allowed him to seriously injure Luffy with his trident, [[spoiler:he stabs himself to compensate for his not requested advantage before berating her for her actions, revealing his mouth without caring, shattered his public image, and destroying his whole reputation for a fair duel.]]

** [[spoiler: It's ''Luffy'' who respects Katakuri for who he is and doesn't even bother to point out his gluttony or his beast-like teeth during their fight; his family and subordinates, meanwhile, instantly turn on him and mock his true appearance despite everything he's done for them]].

* NightmareFace: His DeathGlare evolved into this when someone pushed his BerserkButton. [[spoiler: He promptly slaughter the chefs who saw his face. On that note, his face itself, when revealed, is pretty darn terrifying, and quite vampiric, even!]]
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: After a while, his "fight" with Luffy stops being a fight and just turns into Katakuri brutally smashing Luffy into the ground (or wall) every time he tries to move. ''Especially'' after [[spoiler: Luffy gets a lucky few hits in by taking advantage of his broken focus]] and Katakuri dials up his focus to maximum so that Luffy will never get a chance to catch him by surprise again.

* TheParagon: Viewed as this from the perspective of his own family because he has a bounty over a billion berries and appears to conduct himself with utmost discipline and carries the whole family on his shoulders as its rock. He even has a fan club dedicated to him, led by one of his little sisters, Flambe. [[spoiler:They're actually giving him a little too much credit because the guy is a sloppy glut behind closed doors, and has an "ugly" physical abnormality that made him the target of bullying, not unlike Pudding]].
* PragmaticVillainy: In stark contrast to his family, Katakuri ''usually'' choose the most efficient ways to fight. He urged Perospero to quickly finish the Vinsmoke instead of mocking them. He killed a murderous guest before he even finish his threat. Most significantly, he beat up Luffy before he finished transforming into Gear Fourth. [[spoiler: The single moment he lapsed into BondVillainStupidity above, he was craving his GuiltyPleasure. After he's back to being calm and serious again, he focuses his power into a single punch directly into Luffy's stomach, the part that was ''not'' coated in Haki]].

* BrokenPedestal: For any Big Mom Pirates member who saw his true face and table manners. [[spoiler:Underneath his badass and serious facade, in private he's every bit as hedonistic, gluttonous and hammy as his mother and siblings.]]
* ButterFace: In spite of his {{Hunk}} composition, [[spoiler:he's revealed to have a gnarly GlasgowGrin with lots of fangs]].

* TheUglyGuysHotDaughter: While their mother is a towering {{Gonk}} of a human being, Katakuri, Cracker, and Smoothie are her more attractive-looking offspring. [[spoiler:Well, for Katakuri, he looks handsome anywhere ''BUT'' [[GlasgowGrin his]] [[MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily face]]]].

* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: All three Sweet Commanders are extremely powerful fighters, with some of the highest bounties in ''One Piece''. Their positions certainly weren't earned by just sitting around.

** Despite being having perfect CombatClairvoyance (accuracy is 100%), Katakuri ends up making bad calls that fail to improve the situation for his family. First, he tries to snipe Sanji when he predicts that [[spoiler: Pudding and the priest]] will fail to do so, only for Sanji to dodge and tip off the Vinsmokes that something's going on. Then, when Luffy and his clones appear to wreak havoc, he tells everyone to ignore the transformed animals and focus on Luffy... which means no one is paying attention to [[spoiler:Brook-disguised-as-Luffy as he sneaks around and destroys Mother Carmel's portrait.]]

* TheUglyGuysHotDaughter: While their mother is a towering {{Gonk}} of a human being, Katakuri, Cracker, and Smoothie are her more attractive-looking offspring.

* StatuesqueStunner: She's about ''16 feet tall'', with [[ShesGotLegs extremely long legs]], while also being very fit and pretty.

** [[SiblingYinYang In contrast to his siblings]], Katakuri has skull motifs all over himself, on his shoulder tattoos and on his belt buckle. His face, when shadowed around the eyes, combined with his facial scars, resembles a skull by itself. With his deadly use of his Devil Fruit power and Haki, it's no wonder he has such a [[TheDreaded reputation]].

* TheParagon: Viewed as this from the perspective of his own family because he has a bounty over a billion berries and appears to conduct himself with utmost discipline and carries the whole family on his shoulders as its rock. He even has a fan club dedicated to him, led by one of his little sisters, Flambe. [[spoiler:They're actually giving him a little too much credit because the guy is a sloppy glut behind closed doors.]]

* TheReveal: Wondering what's hidden under that scarf? [[spoiler:A freaky mouth full of fangs which points out from it. A classic Oda twist some will have managed to guess from experience with Jack.]]

* SlaveToPR: Katakuri takes upholding his reputation as the "perfect human being" and the reliable big brother of the Big Mom Pirates ''very'' seriously. [[spoiler: He lets ''no one'' see his undignified, gluttonous nature and even refuses to be seen lying on his back relaxing by anybody. This also extends to his physical attractiveness, as he purposefully covers up his beast-like teeth in order to fully cultivate his image as a handsome, stoic warrior. So, it's very telling when he willingly exposes his face to Flampe and permanently sacrifices his image just for the sake of having a fair fight with Luffy, who he'd come to greatly respect]].

* UnderestimatingBadassery: Zigzagged. Katakuri makes a point of not underestimating his foes. While he notes that it's almost impossible for the Straw Hats to escape Big Mom in the Seducing Woods, he goes ahead and secures the Sunny just in case. And when he foresees Luffy activating Gear Fourth, he doesn't let Luffy power up and instead drowns him in mochi. But then, his patience for his daily snack time had reached his limit and he left Luffy for dead, allowing him to escape and [[spoiler:uncover Katakuri's weakness.]]

* WhyWontYouDie: In the 2nd round of their fight, Katakuri starts to become frustrated that Luffy refuses to stay down despite pummeling him and Luffy supposedly being unable to counterattack.

* StatuesqueStunner: She's at least ten feet tall, with [[ShesGotLegs extremely long legs]], while also being very fit and pretty.
