* DefeatingTheUndefeatable: Defeating one of them is a ''big deal'' in the One Piece world, and the WG's usage of them relies on this ''never'' happening to them by anything less than one of the Four Emperors themselves. If it happens to one of them, especially in public, then they risk expulsion. Case in point: Crocodile. [[spoiler:In fact, Moriah's BadassDecay is what got him kicked out]].
* TheDreaded: A large part of the reason why the World Government enlists them, and why they allow them to stay. It's later revealed in a conversation with Kuma, that if that reputation is seriously affected (e.g. loss to rookie pirate, poor showing in battle etc.) could result in their expulsion. Most of them never even personally knew each other before the Paramount War, but have heard of each other.
** This principle is demonstrated magnificently by [[spoiler:Buggy the Clown's]] recent inclusion in the group; being a relatively pathetic fighter, and hilariously weak compared to the other Warlords, is no obstacle if the world and the authorities *believe* you to be a threat. At the end of the day, the Warlords are a propaganda vehicle used by the World Government to intimidate lesser pirates and those who would dream of joining them as much as dealing with the New World. A criminal that's both cooperative and seen by the joe public as a fearsome big-shot is more than welcome.
* EnemyMine: With Pirates, and ultimately the WG itself.
* JadeColoredGlasses: [[DarkAndTroubledPast Their experiences on the seas]] has given all of them a cynical outlook on the world in some form, either about the Golden Age Of Piracy, or concepts such as justice, and belief in morality. However, none of them are [[NietzscheWannabe nihilistic]], and some such as Crocodile, Doflamingo and [[spoiler:Teach]] seeked to [[TakeOverTheWorld dominate the world]] in some form either by [[{{Ubermensch}} imposing their own values]] or by [[BiggerStick superior military might]]. Jinbe is an [[InvertedTrope inversion]] as his life started out rough, but became gradually optimistic as time went on.
* MysteriousPast: So far, we know very little about their pasts, even the more recent members. We just know that [[FamedInStory they're very famous]]. Only Hancock's and Jinbe's [[{{Backstory}} backstories]] were shown in some detail.
* OneManArmy: Just one of them was required to take over a country for the WG. Or "liberate it" as they call it. Crocodile was assigned as "Alabasta's guardian".

* UltimateJobSecurity: The crap they're allowed to get away with is staggering. The WG apparently consider the pirate problem so dire that they're willing to look over one of them switching sides in the battlefield (sorta), another planning a ZombieApocalypse, and one running a slave ring even after it was abolished two centuries before (though the main reason why that was overlooked was because it catered to the World Nobles). Though one of the major things that guarantees an expulsion is a very public loss to a relative upstart and/or being exposed as attempting to take over a member state of the Reverie ("liberating countries" is perfectly fine, though). The only other way for them to get kicked out besides the aforementioned BadassDecay is for them to act directly against the World Government very publicly, such as what Crocodile and Jinbei did, as it basically means a resignation from the group.

The first of the Seven Warlords to be formally introduced, his appearance marking their very first mention in fact, Mihawk carries the reputation of the greatest swordsman in the world. Unlike practically every other Pirate and even the other Warlords, he is a loner, sailing the seas in a small boat and never interacting with others unless absolutely necessary. He is said to have had a rivalry with Shanks in the past, and that their duels were truly titanic. It is Zoro's ultimate goal to defeat him and Mihawk, after seeing his warrior spirit, urged Zoro to become stronger and surpass him one day.

However, he seems to greatly admire, or at least approve of, those who have the will to actually try achieving their ambitions no matter how lofty or impossible they are. So it's not so much he has a high opinion of ambition itself, but that he has much greater respect for the will to achieve it.

He has a reputation for being an incredibly ruthless pirate who crushed anyone to stand in his way, yet his quiet, calm demeanor and his (in hindsight) merciful actions fly in the face of that. He is also known for following the World Government's orders to the letter, unlike the other Warlords. Yet he also seems to follow the code of Moral Justice, rather than the seemingly more prevalent Absolute Justice, and unlike many other characters, seems to have an idea of what goes on behind the scenes.

Sly, rude and disrespectful towards the World Government, Doflamingo is sadistically playful with others, and seems to delight in causing and participating in chaos. He is the head of a massive slaver ring that caters towards the Celestial Dragon nobility [[spoiler:although he appears to be backing out if his remarks to his minion Disco are worth anything]], and he is a believer in the New Age, an era where pirates focus on what's around them rather than embark on pursuits of romanticism, making him the antithesis of the Great Age of Pirates that Gold Roger set in motion. He ate the String-String Fruit (''Ito Ito no Mi''), which allows him to produce strings and literally manipulate people like puppets, sever limbs with ease, and travel across the sky just as easily. Rebecca, his granddaughter, only a child when this occurred, lost her mother and eventually became a convict gladiator, forced to fight and win a thousand battles in order to gain her freedom, and unable to live with the toy who raised her and protected her. The Thunderous Soldier of Rage, his son or son-in-law and the father of Rebecca, was turned into a toy, unable to protect his wife from Doflamingo's forces and had to raise his daughter without ever telling her who he truly was, lest he be tossed into the scrap heap, having realized that his entire family has forgotten his existence. Viola, his daughter, submitted herself into Doflamingo's service under the name Violet in exchange for sparing her father's life, being forced to work as an assassin for the last ten years for the man who ruined her family. Eventually, in the Dressrosa arc, the former two enter a tournament filled with some of the New World's greatest combatants in order to win a devil fruit, with the overall objective of killing him. The latter third plans an assault on the toy factory and a rebellion against Doflamingo with the Tontatta tribe, who have just a good a reason to hate the man as they do. The last switches sides when Sanji reveals he knows she wasn't lying when she stated that she wants Doflamingo dead.]]

The sixth of the Seven Warlords of the Sea to be introduced. Hancock is the Empress of the isolated Amazon Lily and captain of the Kuja Pirates. Renowned throughout the world for her beauty, she puts on the appearance of being distant, aloof, and, well, a JerkAss of the highest order, spoiled and selfish, prone to looking down on others. Of course, she's not above exploiting her reputation for all it's worth, as she causes most people to completely lose their composure and turn into gooey, love-struck morons.
However, she has a FreudianExcuse as her past was not a pretty one. She was at first a normal young girl who, at an early age, witnessed Gold D. Roger's execution, and later hung out with her sisters Marigold and Sandersonia and the Kuja pirates. At age 12, while sailing with the Kujas, the three sisters were captured by slavers. After that, the three pre-teen girls spent four ''hellish'' years under the thumb of [[AristocratsAreEvil the World Nobles]], who among other things forced them to eat Devil Fruits, in her case the Love-Love Fruit (''Mero Mero no Mi'') which allows her to turn people who lust after her into stone, and branded them like cattle. Being branded as slaves is a constant shame, and she would rather die than let it become known. When Hancock was sixteen, a man named Fisher Tiger appeared and while his goal was simply the liberation of the fishman slaves, he freed as many as he could without discrimination. The sisters later were taken in by Elder Nyon, Raleigh and Shakuyaku, and returned to the Kuja pirates; to not let them know the truth, they said that they had killed a Gorgon and thus were punished with their brands, gaining fame as the Gorgon Sisters. The psycholgical damage, however, had already been done.
She has also fallen madly in love with series protagonist [[ChasteHero Monkey D. Luffy]], creating some hilarious scenes together. After all, watching a renowned Ice Queen fawn like a school girl over the completely love blind Luffy whenever he appears is pretty ridiculous.
Her former bounty was 80,000,000 berries.

Crocodile is the second of the Seven Warlords of the Sea to be formally introduced. During his early travels, he eventually became disillusioned and began to view those who sailed for fortune and glory to be two-bit upstarts. He secretly formed a criminal organization called Baroque Works, whose public aim was to [[UtopiaJustifiesTheMeans take over the prosperous country of Alabasta and create a utopia]]. To accomplish this he worked to undermine Alabasta's King's influence by [[VillainWithGoodPublicity defeating criminals before the army could]], [[GambitRoulette and by exploiting a drought in order to pit the kingdom against an army of rebels]]. His Devil Fruit, the Sand-Sand Fruit (''Suna Suna no Mi''), lets him turn into and control sand, a very useful ability in the desert kingdom.

* CombatPragmatist: What makes his TouchOfDeath so deadly, besides the obvious reasons, is that he also possesses the ability to teleport (by dissolving into sand, then reforming anywhere he wants). This means he can dissolve and reform right in front of his enemy and grab them with his RightHandOfDoom, oftentimes with his right hand already around them before he starts to reform. Unlike most villains who ''could'' do something like that, Crocodile actually ''does'', and you're going to need some [[PlotArmor insane luck]] to survive it.
* CrazyPrepared: He was prepared for literally every setback to his plan by the Straw Hats and Vivi, even those with the slimmest of chances.
** Even when forced into fighting with his hook (which is very unusual considering he's Logia-type), he has a poisoned backup hook. And if ''that's'' broken, he can eject a knife in its place.
** It is shown very well throughout the Alabasta arc that when the Straw Hats and Vivi had one HopeSpot after another in their attempts to stop the war, that every single time Crocodile already had a counter set in place to crush their attempts. It reached the point where the only way to foil his plans was the ''defeat the man himself''. There wasn't a single setback or hole in his overall plan, and by the end the Straw Hats were reduced to brawling amongst the civil war they failed to prevent while Vivi screamed her lungs out.
*** ProperlyParanoid: At the same time, the precaution is somewhat understandable. His WeaksauceWeakness to all liquids means that his powers are downright useless whenever it rains or he is immersed in water (such as when he is bathing). When you're vulnerable at very inopportune times, compounded with the fact that you're a pirate in world that is ninety percent ocean, paranoia is generally an understandable, appropriate response and character trait.
* DangerouslyGenreSavvy
* DishingOutDirt: Of the "sandman" variety. His powers are also associated with "dryness," which means moisture makes him vulnerable... but also that he can suck the water of things (like the earth... or ''a person'') with his right hand.
** BlowYouAway: his ''Sables'', a sandstorm/tornado, and the more compressed version ''Sables: Pesado''
** NighInvulnerable: His Devil Fruit makes him immune to pretty much everything. [[WeaksauceWeakness Unless it's wet, that is]].
*** Ivankov implies that he knows of a third weakness besides water and seastone. Knowing [[CrazyAwesome Ivankov]], it is probably hilarious.
**** Probably hilarious, and if Oda keeps up with his ability to make call backs regardless of how long ago they were, we ''will'' find this weakness out.
** TouchOfDeath: Posseses one of the most deadly powers in the series; he can drain an infinite amount of moisture from anything he touches with his right hand, reducing humans to mummies and anything else to dust. Technically, he doesn't even have to use the hand, as he makes a crescent blade from the same arm that has a similar effect.
* EnemyMine: [[spoiler:Teams up with Luffy to get out of Impel Down and have a shot at taking out Whitebeard. Somewhat subverted in that Luffy doesn't trust him (and wasn't going to release him at first), but is talked into it by Ivankov, who knows a secret that keeps him in check. Both he and Jinbe seem to be keeping their eyes on him to make sure that he doesn't stab them in the back]].
** [[spoiler:Inverted with Doflamingo, as he refused his assistance to take on Whitebeard]].
** Played straight again in chapter 566, [[spoiler:when he kills the two Marines that were supposed to execute Ace. When Sengoku calls him out on it, asking why he's siding with Whitebeard, he justifies his action by claiming that Whitebeard can be killed any time, but he won't let the Marines have their way]].
** The most shocking part of it all is his (thus far) [[IGaveMyWord unwavering loyalty to his agreement]]. He could have have, on multiple occasions, [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder abandoned his partners in crime]], yet is even going so far as to ''protect them''.
* EvilCounterpart: For Luffy. It is heavily hinted that Crocodile's true dream was to become the Pirate King, and he is now obsessed with sadistically trampling dreams and hopes of those weaker than him. Unlike Luffy, who followed his dream, Crocodile abandoned his, thinking that dreams, faith in others, etc. are all useless, and that the only thing that matters is sheer power, no matter how it is obtained. As a result, he became the complete opposite of Luffy in every way.
** The point about crushing people's dreams is a good one, because that's ''exactly'' what Luffy and crew do to their opponents, [[NotQuiteDead instead of killing them]]. It's less heinous than it sounds from that description, but still...
* EvilLaugh: Most villains in ''OnePiece'' have distinctive laughs, but Crocodile's creepy monotone staccato is, perhaps, the most memorable one.
* EvilPlan: His {{plan}} to take over Alabasta, from beginning to end, as its what drives the arc. It's hinted that he's pulling another one with his decision to go to Impel Down. It involves
** BatmanGambit: Turning the people against the king by making them think he's behind the drought
** GambitRoulette: Some changes events.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Just look at his seiyuu.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Seems like a cool-enough man to have a beer with. 'Tis all an act, though.
* FreudianExcuse: It's been heavily implied there's a reason he went from what was described as being very similar to Luffy in outlook to the cynical {{Jerkass}} he is now, and it's probably a TearJerker.
* ForTheEvulz: Even with his all his intricate plans and important work to do, he still takes time out of his day to torture a determined old man trying to save his destroyed town by sending him regular destructive sandstorms. And his mind raping of Princess Vivi was largely unnecessary, but he still found it highly entertaining.

* MightMakesRight: Years went by during his time in the seas, before Crocodile came to view strength and military might as the only things in the world that are important, not dreams. To this end, he wished to find [[LostSuperweapon Pluton]] to have the greatest military power in the world.
* MrFanservice: Between the [[EvilGenius brains]], the [[LargeAndInCharge build]], the [[BadassInANiceSuit awesome suits]], or the overflowing [[EvilIsCool cool]], Croc's got a solid female following.

[[spoiler:However, when Doflamingo offers to help Crocodile kill Whitebeard, Crocodile told him to get out of his face, ''and threatened to kill him'']].
** In a way, he's also similar to Luffy, and when he talks to him, mentions that he was just as naive as him, and even wanted to (and still does want to) become King of the Pirates; the scar on his face may further cement this, as his personality is hinted to have been like Luffy's. In all likelihood, his experiences in the Grand Line changed him.
*** His recent decision to [[spoiler: become a pirate again and head for the New World, meaning that he is once again chasing his dream]] brings him closer to Luffy and even further away from Doflamingo.

If there's a close-up on his face, expect it to be at an ominous angle, with plenty of creepy facial shadows. If he gets beat up, his hair will dangle in front of his face, making him look even creepier. If he's in a good mood, he'll give a SlasherSmile that'll put Doflamingo to shame. Hell, in his last appearance before [[spoiler:the time skip]], he's in a close-up panel giving the most sinister looking SlasherSmile the series has ever seen. Even the anime depicts him as having skin so pale he's two shades of grey away from being a full-blown ''Vampire''.
* OffWithHisHead: Being a [[NighInvulnerability Logia]], this is a minor annoyance to Crocodile.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: He can turn entire cities into barren deserts if he wants to, and sometimes [[OmnicidalManiac he does]].
* [[TechnicolorToxin Purple Poison]]: His hidden hook has this.
* SelfRestraint: When Miss Doublefinger and other members of Baroque Works try to [[BreakingOutTheBoss rescue him from prison]], he and Daz Bones decide to stay and go to Impel Down. Both were originally planning on staying in Eternal and Inferno Hell respectively for who knows how long, and left basically because they were bored.
** Which is at odds with how he managed to manage an organization that specifically relies on two man teamwork and keep tabs on the individual members.
* ShapingYourAttacks: "Desert Spada" and "Desert La Spada".
* ShoutOut: Hook for a hand, has pet gators, named Crocodile? He's an obvious reference to Captain Hook from ''PeterPan''.

* SortingAlgorithmOfEvil: Subverted. Despite being a villain fairly early in the series, Crocodile is one of the most powerful people in the ''One Piece'' world. Even in recent arcs he's fighting quite evenly with many infamous top-tiered figures.
** To hammer the point in, the next "BigBad" was Bellamy. Luffy lost twice to Crocodile and only won the third time due to determination, Crocodile's VillainousBreakdown due to said determination, [[BloodyMurder blood]], and pure dumb luck. Compare that to Bellamy, who was beaten with a single punch, and one that wasn't even stretched at that.
* [[spoiler:TeethClenchedTeamwork]]: [[spoiler:Just because he's working together with Luffy doesn't mean either of them is happy about it, although Crocodile's not one to hold a grudge]].
* TheBattleDidntCount: Seems to have completely disregarded his defeat in Alabasta. He holds no grudge against Luffy (instead planning on using him as a pawn to help escape Impel Down), and when Luffy confronts him about what he did, he simply states that he just doesn't care about Alabasta anymore. Whitebeard on the other hand...
* TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou: With Whitebeard. [[spoiler:He violently turns down Doflamingo's offer to team up against Whitebeard and even saves Ace from his execution so that the World Government wouldn't have the upper hand on Whitebeard. He also becomes absolutely ''furious'' when Whitebeard allows himself to be stabbed by Squad]].
** He does however chooses not to fight him because he too injured and old to fight, a considerable change for when he was causing an old man in Alabasta misery [[EvilIsPetty because of his optimism]].
* TheSocialDarwinist: Displays some more benign aspects of this, Crocodile hates weakness, and people who believe in things without the strength to back them up, this is in opposition to Luffy who will fight for anybodies beliefs, no matter how weak they are.
* TookALevelInKindness: He's gotten considerably better as he got angry [[spoiler:when Mihawk was attacking Das Bonez and when Akainu's track record was getting too good even for his standards]].
* VillainousValor: Crocodile is a guy with no extraordinary physical skills or toughness, and Luffy just managed to pierce his invincible defenses, what does Crocodile do? Stand up, laugh at Luffy and tell me how weak he is before kicking his ass, for the second time. Crocodile has balls.
** As of the war at Marineford, Crocodile has fought: an entire pirate crew at once, a ship full of marines, the strongest man on earth, a man made out of fucking diamond, man with highest known bounty, deadliest swordsman, most dangerous admiral, and the god damned protagonist of the series three times.
*** Upon the conclusion of the war, which consisted of a congregation of the world's most powerful people, many of them actively targeting him, where [[spoiler: Ace and Whitebeard lost their lives]], the Marines were crippled, AND he fought all the above opponents, the only visible wounds he had from all that was ''a popped blood vessel''. Which he apparently has a habit of doing during intense fights, anyway. He was otherwise entirely unscathed, even after directly picking a fight with ''Dracule Mihawk.''
** He's killed anyone who's had the balls to try to humiliate him.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: His front as Alabasta's guardian made him revered in the country he was secretly trying to take over.
* VillainousBreakdown: One of the main reasons why Crocodile lost round three of his fight with Luffy is because he had his ''during'' the fight. Luffy's determination pretty much broke him, to the point that he started foregoing his devil fruit powers in order to match him physically.
* WeaksauceWeakness: He's an amazing strategist and has one of the deadliest powers in the series, but his fruit powers are more susceptible to water and other liquids than other devil fruit users because of the element it uses. It's even weak enough to the point a nice drizzle or being hit with any wet object (such as fists covered in blood, or sweat) will nullify his Logia powers temporarily. Good thing he is prepared for such events by being skilled in other combat arts.

* WildCard: Seriously, what ''is'' he going to do next?
* YouHaveFailedMe: The consequences of failing Crocodile aren't pretty: After he heard a report from "Mr. 3" (actually Sanji impersonating him) that the Straw Hat Pirates were still alive during their conversation, he ordered Mr. 2 Bon Kurei to eliminate him. When Mr. 3 escaped this, he had him fed to his Bananadiles (though, amazingly, he escaped alive from that as well). Hell, the Mr. 7 duo were willing to blow up the town center in Alubarna even risking getting caught in the blast, because they feared ''that much'' what Crocodile would do to them if they failed.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: Too bad for Ms. All-Sunday, though subverted in that it did work out for her in the end.
** This is surprisingly subverted though, in the case of Mr. 1, who went to Impel Down with Crocodile. As soon as the breakout occurred, he immediately went to his cell for him to be his subordinate again. Now ''that's'' loyalty.

Gekko Moriah resides on a massive island/ship known as Thriller Bark, where he kidnaps unsuspecting travelers and uses the power of the Shadow-Shadow Fruit (''Kage Kage no Mi'') to strip them of their shadows and utilizes them to raise an army of zombies. He believes the undead to be superior to the living, as they can just be replaced when destroyed and do not possess souls. This way of thinking is due to his entire crew being wiped out by the Emperor Kaidou some time in the past.
His former bounty was 320,000,000 berries.

** DualWielding: The scissors he uses to cut off peoples' shadows can be split in two to be used as swords. And if he absorbs the shadows of several swordsmen, he can even become a MasterSwordsman himself.
** ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: His Lizard Horn Spear impaled [[spoiler:even a colossal beast like Oars Jr.]] with ease.
** ImpossibleShadowPuppets: Inverted with his Shadow Revolution, in which he controls the shape of the shadow to change the shape of the body casting it, due to the fundamental law of nature that the object and the shadow must '''always''' be of the same shape. He demonstrated this by turning Oars into a RubberMan and a giant ball.
** LivingShadow: He can animate his shadow, which he calls Doppelman, to fight for him while he lazes around, make a legion of sharp-toothed bats, or a large spear with a lizard-shaped hilt out of said shadow.
** TheNecromancer: Revives the undead by implanting shadows of his victims within them.
** NighInvulnerable: His shadow can be attacked, but will completely reform without much trouble.
** NinjaLog: He can switch locations with his shadow at any time, giving him a defense similar to [[ElementalShapeshifter Logia]] [[NighInvulnerable users]].

* MeaningfulName: "''Gekko''" is Japanese for "moonlight" and also refers to his AnimalMotif, the gecko. Moria is a very creepy and dangerous location in [[Literature/LordOfTheRings Middle-earth]] and, with a different accent stress becomes an old Italian word indicating the deaths of many (usually farm animals) after a plague/draught. Furthermore, from "Gekko Moriah" you can get the word "Komori", bat, his second AnimalMotif.
* MonsterClown: The checkered trousers and ridiculous boots he wears don't exactly fit your typical image of a fearsome necromancer. Plus, the whole attitude.
* ObviouslyEvil: Nothing screams "I'm evil!" more than a demonic appearance.

Though, the latter forfeited his position.

* DefeatingTheUndefeatable: Defeating one of them is a ''big deal'' in the One Piece world, and the WG's usage of them relies on this ''never'' happening to them by anything less than one of the Four Emperors themselves. If it happens to one of them, especially in public, then they risk expulsion. Case in point: Crocodile. [[spoiler:In fact, Moriah's BadassDecay is what got him kicked out]].
* TheDreaded: A large part of the reason why the World Government enlists them, and why they allow them to stay. It's later revealed in a conversation with Kuma, that if that reputation is seriously affected (e.g. loss to rookie pirate, poor showing in battle etc.) could result in their expulsion. Most of them never even personally knew each other before the Paramount War, but have heard of each other.
** This principle is demonstrated magnificently by [[spoiler:Buggy the Clown's]] recent inclusion in the group; being a relatively pathetic fighter, and hilariously weak compared to the other Warlords, is no obstacle if the world and the authorities *believe* you to be a threat. At the end of the day, the Warlords are a propaganda vehicle used by the World Government to intimidate lesser pirates and those who would dream of joining them as much as dealing with the New World. A criminal that's both cooperative and seen by the joe public as a fearsome big-shot is more than welcome.
* EnemyMine: With Pirates, and ultimately the WG itself.
* JadeColoredGlasses: [[DarkAndTroubledPast Their experiences on the seas]] has given all of them a cynical outlook on the world in some form, either about the Golden Age Of Piracy, or concepts such as justice, and belief in morality. However, none of them are [[NietzscheWannabe nihilistic]], and some such as Crocodile, Doflamingo and [[spoiler:Teach]] seeked to [[TakeOverTheWorld dominate the world]] in some form either by [[{{Ubermensch}} imposing their own values]] or by [[BiggerStick superior military might]]. Jinbe is an [[InvertedTrope inversion]] as his life started out rough, but became gradually optimistic as time went on.
* MysteriousPast: So far, we know very little about their pasts, even the more recent members. We just know that [[FamedInStory they're very famous]]. Only Hancock's and Jinbe's [[{{Backstory}} backstories]] were shown in some detail.
* OneManArmy: Just one of them was required to take over a country for the WG. Or "liberate it" as they call it. Crocodile was assigned as "Alabasta's guardian".

They're also not the best of buds, the narration noting [[LampshadeHanging that the very idea of them working together during the build-up to the Paramount War was unthinkable]]. * UltimateJobSecurity: The crap they're allowed to get away with is staggering. The WG apparently consider the pirate problem so dire that they're willing to look over one of them switching sides in the battlefield (sorta), another planning a ZombieApocalypse, and one running a slave ring even after it was abolished two centuries before (though the main reason why that was overlooked was because it catered to the World Nobles). Though one of the major things that guarantees an expulsion is a very public loss to a relative upstart and/or being exposed as attempting to take over a member state of the Reverie ("liberating countries" is perfectly fine, though). The only other way for them to get kicked out besides the aforementioned BadassDecay is for them to act directly against the World Government very publicly, such as what Crocodile and Jinbei did, as it basically means a resignation from the group.

The first of the Seven Warlords to be formally introduced, his appearance marking their very first mention in fact, Mihawk carries the reputation of the greatest swordsman in the world. Unlike practically every other Pirate and even the other Warlords, he is a loner, sailing the seas in a small boat and never interacting with others unless absolutely necessary. He is said to have had a rivalry with Shanks in the past, and that their duels were truly titanic. It is Zoro's ultimate goal to defeat him and Mihawk, after seeing his warrior spirit, urged Zoro to become stronger and surpass him one day.

* AbsurdlySharpBlade: The thing can cut through entire ships and mountains of ice without so much as a scratch.
* AccentAdaptation: He has a French-Caribbean accent in the 4kids dub.
* AloofAlly: To the Marines. Granted, the Warlords aren't exactly known for keeping up their end of the agreement, but it's particularly telling that both the Marines and the ''Warlords themselves'' are visibly surprised when Mihawk actually starts to fight.
* AmbitionIsEvil: He has an interesting take on this trope. In his first appearance he mocked Zoro, for saying his goal was to defeat Mihawk, and Luffy, for wanting to be the Pirate King, saying they were foolish and lofty. However, he seems to greatly admire, or at least approve of, those who have the will to actually try achieving their ambitions no matter how lofty or impossible they are. So it's not so much he has a high opinion of ambition itself, but that he has much greater respect for the will to achieve it.
* AnimalMotifs: The hawk, having sharp, narrow eyes, similar to those of a hawk and even nicknamed "Hawk-Eye".
* AntiVillain: The Noble variant.
* AudibleSharpness: As befitting the most powerful sword in the world.

The fourth of the Seven Warlords of the Sea to be formally introduced. Kuma is a very large man who is always seen carrying a bible. He has a reputation for being an incredibly ruthless pirate who crushed anyone to stand in his way, yet his quiet, calm demeanor and his (in hindsight) merciful actions fly in the face of that. He is also known for following the World Government's orders to the letter, unlike the other Warlords. Yet he also seems to follow the code of Moral Justice, rather than the seemingly more prevalent Absolute Justice, and unlike many other characters, seems to have an idea of what goes on behind the scenes.

He is the head of a massive slaver ring that caters towards the Celestial Dragon nobility [[spoiler:although he appears to be backing out if his remarks to his minion Disco are worth anything]], and he is a believer in the New Age, an era where pirates focus on what's around them rather than embark on pursuits of romanticism, making him the antithesis of the Great Age of Pirates that Gold Roger set in motion. He ate the String-String Fruit (''Ito Ito no Mi''), which allows him to produce strings and literally manipulate people like puppets, sever limbs with ease, and travel across the sky just as easily. The Thunderous Soldier of Rage, his son or son-in-law and the father of Rebecca, was turned into a toy, unable to protect his wife from Doflamingo's forces and had to raise his daughter without ever telling her who he truly was, lest he be tossed into the scrap heap, having realized that his entire family has forgotten his existence. Viola, his daughter, submitted herself into Doflamingo's service under the name Violet in exchange for sparing her father's life, being forced to work as an assassin for the last ten years for the man who ruined her family. Eventually, in the Dressrosa arc, the former two enter a tournament filled with some of the New World's greatest combatants in order to win a devil fruit, with the overall objective of killing him. The latter third plans an assault on the toy factory and a rebellion against Doflamingo with the Tontatta tribe, who have just a good a reason to hate the man as they do. The sixth of the Seven Warlords of the Sea to be introduced. Hancock is the Empress of the isolated Amazon Lily and captain of the Kuja Pirates. Renowned throughout the world for her beauty, she puts on the appearance of being distant, aloof, and, well, a JerkAss of the highest order, spoiled and selfish, prone to looking down on others. Of course, she's not above exploiting her reputation for all it's worth, as she causes most people to completely lose their composure and turn into gooey, love-struck morons.
However, she has a FreudianExcuse as her past was not a pretty one. She was at first a normal young girl who, at an early age, witnessed Gold D. Roger's execution, and later hung out with her sisters Marigold and Sandersonia and the Kuja pirates. At age 12, while sailing with the Kujas, the three sisters were captured by slavers. After that, the three pre-teen girls spent four ''hellish'' years under the thumb of [[AristocratsAreEvil the World Nobles]], who among other things forced them to eat Devil Fruits, in her case the Love-Love Fruit (''Mero Mero no Mi'') which allows her to turn people who lust after her into stone, and branded them like cattle. Being branded as slaves is a constant shame, and she would rather die than let it become known. When Hancock was sixteen, a man named Fisher Tiger appeared and while his goal was simply the liberation of the fishman slaves, he freed as many as he could without discrimination. The sisters later were taken in by Elder Nyon, Raleigh and Shakuyaku, and returned to the Kuja pirates; to not let them know the truth, they said that they had killed a Gorgon and thus were punished with their brands, gaining fame as the Gorgon Sisters. The psycholgical damage, however, had already been done.
She has also fallen madly in love with series protagonist [[ChasteHero Monkey D. Luffy]], creating some hilarious scenes together. After all, watching a renowned Ice Queen fawn like a school girl over the completely love blind Luffy whenever he appears is pretty ridiculous.

It's HilariousInHindsight actually; it isn't so much evil as being a bit of a bitch when you know the person is superhuman and won't be harmed. This is the type of prank Captain Marvel would pull on Supes. The latter, however, ''does'' crank it UpToEleven and becomes a borderline MoralEventHorizon moment.
* LadyInRed: Every outfit she's been seen in so far in the anime.
* LadyOfWar: She fights with graceful, whirling, face-breaking kicks against the strongest pirates in the world and is quite likely the deadliest hand to hand fighter of the Shichibukai.

Crocodile is the second of the Seven Warlords of the Sea to be formally introduced. During his early travels, he eventually became disillusioned and began to view those who sailed for fortune and glory to be two-bit upstarts. He secretly formed a criminal organization called Baroque Works, whose public aim was to [[UtopiaJustifiesTheMeans take over the prosperous country of Alabasta and create a utopia]]. To accomplish this he worked to undermine Alabasta's King's influence by [[VillainWithGoodPublicity defeating criminals before the army could]], [[GambitRoulette and by exploiting a drought in order to pit the kingdom against an army of rebels]]. His Devil Fruit, the Sand-Sand Fruit (''Suna Suna no Mi''), lets him turn into and control sand, a very useful ability in the desert kingdom.
His former bounty was 81,000,000 berries.

* AlmightyJanitor: While he doesn't have a ''small'' bounty, it is considerably lower than a lot of his fellow Warlords. It was revealed in the series that his bounty wasn't reflective of everything he was capable of, and had the government been aware of his criminal underworld actions, it would have ''at least'' been twice as much.

He now sports an all-black version of his Alabasta outfit, which is universally considered to be much more {{Badass}} than his old one.

First, he takes out two Marines about to execute Ace. Second, he takes on Mihawk to buy Luffy time to reach Ace and save Mr. 1. Third, he takes on Admiral "punched a hole through the guy made of living fire" Akainu to rescue Luffy and Jinbe]].
** [[spoiler:This is, more likely, VillainousRescue. Crocodile has made it no secret that his enemy is the Marines, and not Luffy. Once he decided that Whitebeard had become too old and weak to be worth his time, he spent the rest of the battle trolling the Marines. Adding to that, Mihawk cut down the one henchman he actually liked and Akainu's track record was getting way too good for Crocodile's liking. The whole thing reads like one big case of ItsPersonal]].
* BloodyMurder: How he finally met his defeat.
* BondVillainStupidity: Averted, despite the fact that he's one-half a Bond Villain as it is. The first time he fought Luffy, he buried him alive in the middle of the desert; the second time, he ''drained all the water out of Luffy's body''. Only an [[PlotArmor outside interference and blind luck]] saved him, respectively.
* TheChessmaster: Pretty much covers everything he did.

* CombatPragmatist: What makes his TouchOfDeath so deadly, besides the obvious reasons, is that he also possesses the ability to teleport (by dissolving into sand, then reforming anywhere he wants). This means he can dissolve and reform right in front of his enemy and grab them with his RightHandOfDoom, oftentimes with his right hand already around them before he starts to reform. Unlike most villains who ''could'' do something like that, Crocodile actually ''does'', and you're going to need some [[PlotArmor insane luck]] to survive it.
* CrazyPrepared: He was prepared for literally every setback to his plan by the Straw Hats and Vivi, even those with the slimmest of chances.
** Even when forced into fighting with his hook (which is very unusual considering he's Logia-type), he has a poisoned backup hook. And if ''that's'' broken, he can eject a knife in its place.
** It is shown very well throughout the Alabasta arc that when the Straw Hats and Vivi had one HopeSpot after another in their attempts to stop the war, that every single time Crocodile already had a counter set in place to crush their attempts. It reached the point where the only way to foil his plans was the ''defeat the man himself''. There wasn't a single setback or hole in his overall plan, and by the end the Straw Hats were reduced to brawling amongst the civil war they failed to prevent while Vivi screamed her lungs out.
*** ProperlyParanoid: At the same time, the precaution is somewhat understandable. His WeaksauceWeakness to all liquids means that his powers are downright useless whenever it rains or he is immersed in water (such as when he is bathing). When you're vulnerable at very inopportune times, compounded with the fact that you're a pirate in world that is ninety percent ocean, paranoia is generally an understandable, appropriate response and character trait.
* DangerouslyGenreSavvy
* DishingOutDirt: Of the "sandman" variety. His powers are also associated with "dryness," which means moisture makes him vulnerable... but also that he can suck the water of things (like the earth... or ''a person'') with his right hand.
** BlowYouAway: his ''Sables'', a sandstorm/tornado, and the more compressed version ''Sables: Pesado''
** NighInvulnerable: His Devil Fruit makes him immune to pretty much everything. [[WeaksauceWeakness Unless it's wet, that is]].
*** Ivankov implies that he knows of a third weakness besides water and seastone. Knowing [[CrazyAwesome Ivankov]], it is probably hilarious.
**** Probably hilarious, and if Oda keeps up with his ability to make call backs regardless of how long ago they were, we ''will'' find this weakness out.
** TouchOfDeath: Posseses one of the most deadly powers in the series; he can drain an infinite amount of moisture from anything he touches with his right hand, reducing humans to mummies and anything else to dust. Technically, he doesn't even have to use the hand, as he makes a crescent blade from the same arm that has a similar effect.
* EnemyMine: [[spoiler:Teams up with Luffy to get out of Impel Down and have a shot at taking out Whitebeard. Somewhat subverted in that Luffy doesn't trust him (and wasn't going to release him at first), but is talked into it by Ivankov, who knows a secret that keeps him in check. Both he and Jinbe seem to be keeping their eyes on him to make sure that he doesn't stab them in the back]].
** [[spoiler:Inverted with Doflamingo, as he refused his assistance to take on Whitebeard]].
** Played straight again in chapter 566, [[spoiler:when he kills the two Marines that were supposed to execute Ace. When Sengoku calls him out on it, asking why he's siding with Whitebeard, he justifies his action by claiming that Whitebeard can be killed any time, but he won't let the Marines have their way]].
** The most shocking part of it all is his (thus far) [[IGaveMyWord unwavering loyalty to his agreement]]. He could have have, on multiple occasions, [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder abandoned his partners in crime]], yet is even going so far as to ''protect them''.
* EvilCounterpart: For Luffy. It is heavily hinted that Crocodile's true dream was to become the Pirate King, and he is now obsessed with sadistically trampling dreams and hopes of those weaker than him. Unlike Luffy, who followed his dream, Crocodile abandoned his, thinking that dreams, faith in others, etc. are all useless, and that the only thing that matters is sheer power, no matter how it is obtained. As a result, he became the complete opposite of Luffy in every way.
** The point about crushing people's dreams is a good one, because that's ''exactly'' what Luffy and crew do to their opponents, [[NotQuiteDead instead of killing them]]. It's less heinous than it sounds from that description, but still...
* EvilLaugh: Most villains in ''OnePiece'' have distinctive laughs, but Crocodile's creepy monotone staccato is, perhaps, the most memorable one.
* EvilPlan: His {{plan}} to take over Alabasta, from beginning to end, as its what drives the arc. It's hinted that he's pulling another one with his decision to go to Impel Down. It involves
** BatmanGambit: Turning the people against the king by making them think he's behind the drought
** GambitRoulette: Some changes events.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Just look at his seiyuu.
* FauxAffablyEvil: Seems like a cool-enough man to have a beer with. 'Tis all an act, though.
* FreudianExcuse: It's been heavily implied there's a reason he went from what was described as being very similar to Luffy in outlook to the cynical {{Jerkass}} he is now, and it's probably a TearJerker.
* ForTheEvulz: Even with his all his intricate plans and important work to do, he still takes time out of his day to torture a determined old man trying to save his destroyed town by sending him regular destructive sandstorms. And his mind raping of Princess Vivi was largely unnecessary, but he still found it highly entertaining.

* GeniusBruiser: He's a terrifying giant of a man with one of the more effective powersets even now (and boy, does he know how to use it to full effect), but he's also ''the'' premiere MagnificentBastard of the series.

* HiddenAgendaVillain: The destruction of Alabasta was only the surface of his GambitRoulette. If he couldn't find [[spoiler:the Pluton,]] though, he would still take over the country as its new monarch.

* ManOfWealthAndTaste: Just look at his outfit. Oh, and he prepares a feast for Vivi when he's holding her captive.
* MightMakesRight: Years went by during his time in the seas, before Crocodile came to view strength and military might as the only things in the world that are important, not dreams. To this end, he wished to find [[LostSuperweapon Pluton]] to have the greatest military power in the world.
* MrFanservice: Between the [[EvilGenius brains]], the [[LargeAndInCharge build]], the [[BadassInANiceSuit awesome suits]], or the overflowing [[EvilIsCool cool]], Croc's got a solid female following.

** As well, his main man, a [[{{Badass}} previous bounty hunter who is also really tall, super strong, can turn his body parts into blades]], is named Daz Bones.

[[spoiler:However, when Doflamingo offers to help Crocodile kill Whitebeard, Crocodile told him to get out of his face, ''and threatened to kill him'']].
** In a way, he's also similar to Luffy, and when he talks to him, mentions that he was just as naive as him, and even wanted to (and still does want to) become King of the Pirates; the scar on his face may further cement this, as his personality is hinted to have been like Luffy's. In all likelihood, his experiences in the Grand Line changed him.
*** His recent decision to [[spoiler: become a pirate again and head for the New World, meaning that he is once again chasing his dream]] brings him closer to Luffy and even further away from Doflamingo.

* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: In their first encounter, he gave Luffy a few minutes to mess around before swiftly impaling him and [[LeftForDead burying him alive]].
* ObviouslyEvil: Oda tends to draw him appearing more treacherous than any other character in the series. Seriously. If there's a close-up on his face, expect it to be at an ominous angle, with plenty of creepy facial shadows. If he gets beat up, his hair will dangle in front of his face, making him look even creepier. If he's in a good mood, he'll give a SlasherSmile that'll put Doflamingo to shame. Hell, in his last appearance before [[spoiler:the time skip]], he's in a close-up panel giving the most sinister looking SlasherSmile the series has ever seen. Even the anime depicts him as having skin so pale he's two shades of grey away from being a full-blown ''Vampire''.
* OffWithHisHead: Being a [[NighInvulnerability Logia]], this is a minor annoyance to Crocodile.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: He can turn entire cities into barren deserts if he wants to, and sometimes [[OmnicidalManiac he does]].
* [[TechnicolorToxin Purple Poison]]: His hidden hook has this.
* SelfRestraint: When Miss Doublefinger and other members of Baroque Works try to [[BreakingOutTheBoss rescue him from prison]], he and Daz Bones decide to stay and go to Impel Down. Both were originally planning on staying in Eternal and Inferno Hell respectively for who knows how long, and left basically because they were bored.
** Which is at odds with how he managed to manage an organization that specifically relies on two man teamwork and keep tabs on the individual members.
* ShapingYourAttacks: "Desert Spada" and "Desert La Spada".
* ShoutOut: Hook for a hand, has pet gators, named Crocodile? He's an obvious reference to Captain Hook from ''PeterPan''.

* SortingAlgorithmOfEvil: Subverted. Despite being a villain fairly early in the series, Crocodile is one of the most powerful people in the ''One Piece'' world. Even in recent arcs he's fighting quite evenly with many infamous top-tiered figures.
** To hammer the point in, the next "BigBad" was Bellamy. Luffy lost twice to Crocodile and only won the third time due to determination, Crocodile's VillainousBreakdown due to said determination, [[BloodyMurder blood]], and pure dumb luck. Compare that to Bellamy, who was beaten with a single punch, and one that wasn't even stretched at that.

** He does however chooses not to fight him because he too injured and old to fight, a considerable change for when he was causing an old man in Alabasta misery [[EvilIsPetty because of his optimism]].
* TheSocialDarwinist: Displays some more benign aspects of this, Crocodile hates weakness, and people who believe in things without the strength to back them up, this is in opposition to Luffy who will fight for anybodies beliefs, no matter how weak they are.
* TookALevelInKindness: He's gotten considerably better as he got angry [[spoiler:when Mihawk was attacking Das Bonez and when Akainu's track record was getting too good even for his standards]].
* VillainousValor: Crocodile is a guy with no extraordinary physical skills or toughness, and Luffy just managed to pierce his invincible defenses, what does Crocodile do? Stand up, laugh at Luffy and tell me how weak he is before kicking his ass, for the second time. Crocodile has balls.
** As of the war at Marineford, Crocodile has fought: an entire pirate crew at once, a ship full of marines, the strongest man on earth, a man made out of fucking diamond, man with highest known bounty, deadliest swordsman, most dangerous admiral, and the god damned protagonist of the series three times.
*** Upon the conclusion of the war, which consisted of a congregation of the world's most powerful people, many of them actively targeting him, where [[spoiler: Ace and Whitebeard lost their lives]], the Marines were crippled, AND he fought all the above opponents, the only visible wounds he had from all that was ''a popped blood vessel''. Which he apparently has a habit of doing during intense fights, anyway. He was otherwise entirely unscathed, even after directly picking a fight with ''Dracule Mihawk.''
** He's killed anyone who's had the balls to try to humiliate him.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: His front as Alabasta's guardian made him revered in the country he was secretly trying to take over.
* VillainousBreakdown: One of the main reasons why Crocodile lost round three of his fight with Luffy is because he had his ''during'' the fight. Luffy's determination pretty much broke him, to the point that he started foregoing his devil fruit powers in order to match him physically.
* WeaksauceWeakness: He's an amazing strategist and has one of the deadliest powers in the series, but his fruit powers are more susceptible to water and other liquids than other devil fruit users because of the element it uses. It's even weak enough to the point a nice drizzle or being hit with any wet object (such as fists covered in blood, or sweat) will nullify his Logia powers temporarily. Good thing he is prepared for such events by being skilled in other combat arts.

* YouHaveFailedMe: The consequences of failing Crocodile aren't pretty: After he heard a report from "Mr. 3" (actually Sanji impersonating him) that the Straw Hat Pirates were still alive during their conversation, he ordered Mr. 2 Bon Kurei to eliminate him. When Mr. 3 escaped this, he had him fed to his Bananadiles (though, amazingly, he escaped alive from that as well). Hell, the Mr. 7 duo were willing to blow up the town center in Alubarna even risking getting caught in the blast, because they feared ''that much'' what Crocodile would do to them if they failed.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: Too bad for Ms. All-Sunday, though subverted in that it did work out for her in the end.
** This is surprisingly subverted though, in the case of Mr. 1, who went to Impel Down with Crocodile. As soon as the breakout occurred, he immediately went to his cell for him to be his subordinate again. Now ''that's'' loyalty.

The fifth of the Seven Warlords to be formally introduced. Gekko Moriah resides on a massive island/ship known as Thriller Bark, where he kidnaps unsuspecting travelers and uses the power of the Shadow-Shadow Fruit (''Kage Kage no Mi'') to strip them of their shadows and utilizes them to raise an army of zombies. He believes the undead to be superior to the living, as they can just be replaced when destroyed and do not possess souls. This way of thinking is due to his entire crew being wiped out by the Emperor Kaidou some time in the past.
His former bounty was 320,000,000 berries.

He still forced Luffy to throw everything he had to take him down, and still had enough balls to take on Curiel, 10th Whitebeard Division Commander during the Paramount War. [[spoiler:Then he got one-shotted by Jinbe, a fellow Warlord. After the war, he was deemed too weak for his position, and the WG sent Doflamingo and some Pacifistas to eliminate him, but he escaped (though apparently near death).]]
* CastingAShadow: His Devil Fruit lets him manipulate and even steal someone's shadow.

** BadPowersBadPeople: His Devil Fruit works by ripping off people's shadows, also leaving them without a reflection. Oh, and they disintegrate in direct sunlight. He then takes these shadows and either absorbs them to make himself stronger or ''makes an army of zombie slaves''. The zombie doesn't even have the personality and will of the original person it's made from. Honestly, what morally good use could a power like this be put to?
** DualWielding: The scissors he uses to cut off peoples' shadows can be split in two to be used as swords. And if he absorbs the shadows of several swordsmen, he can even become a MasterSwordsman himself.
** ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: His Lizard Horn Spear impaled [[spoiler:even a colossal beast like Oars Jr.]] with ease.
** ImpossibleShadowPuppets: Inverted with his Shadow Revolution, in which he controls the shape of the shadow to change the shape of the body casting it, due to the fundamental law of nature that the object and the shadow must '''always''' be of the same shape. He demonstrated this by turning Oars into a RubberMan and a giant ball.
** LivingShadow: He can animate his shadow, which he calls Doppelman, to fight for him while he lazes around, make a legion of sharp-toothed bats, or a large spear with a lizard-shaped hilt out of said shadow.
** TheNecromancer: Revives the undead by implanting shadows of his victims within them.
** NighInvulnerable: His shadow can be attacked, but will completely reform without much trouble.
** NinjaLog: He can switch locations with his shadow at any time, giving him a defense similar to [[ElementalShapeshifter Logia]] [[NighInvulnerable users]].
** [[spoiler:OneWingedAngel]]: [[spoiler:Shadows Asgard; this also counts as ClippedWingAngel since this form can be defeated by beating the shadows out of him. Also crosses over into TheLastDance territory]].
** ShapingYourAttacks: Can turn his shadow in a flock of bats, a lizard-like spear and anything else he could imagine probably...
** WeakenedByTheLight: People who have had their shadows stolen by Moriah will be vaporised in the sunlight. Although if their shadow returns to them before they're completely vaporized they'll return to normal (see ImpossibleShadowPuppets).
** ZergRush: His Brick Bat technique.
** ZombieApocalypse: His Devil Fruit powers enable him to revive dead bodies by implanting shadows within them. When the Straw Hats showed up he had collected roughly a thousand of them.
** ZombieMooks: He uses his Devil Fruit power to make them in place of a traditional crew.
* CreepyChild: An SBS Question Corner page showing the Warlords as kids reveals Moria was a dick even as a kid (and with horns to boot), but he was more optimistic in expression than he is now. He also mentions that he used to be a very sociable person who relied on his own strength to do things and that he had many good friends, likely within his crew as well.
* EvilAlbino: He's a white skinned, horned giant.

* ManChild: He spent at least half of his screen time during the Thriller Bark Arc acting like this. [[FromBadToWorse Then he got serious]].
* MeaningfulName: "''Gekko''" is Japanese for "moonlight" and also refers to his AnimalMotif, the gecko. Moria is a very creepy and dangerous location in [[Literature/LordOfTheRings Middle-earth]] and, with a different accent stress becomes an old Italian word indicating the deaths of many (usually farm animals) after a plague/draught. Furthermore, from "Gekko Moriah" you can get the word "Komori", bat, his second AnimalMotif.
* MonsterClown: The checkered trousers and ridiculous boots he wears don't exactly fit your typical image of a fearsome necromancer. Plus, the whole attitude.
* ObviouslyEvil: Nothing screams "I'm evil!" more than a demonic appearance.
** He looked even more sinister back in the day when he was thin enough to actually have a jawline, and was also HellBentForLeather, apparently.
* PowerLevels: He is probably the most notable [[AvertedTrope aversion]] of the concept of using bounties as this. He has the second-highest bounty of the Warlords [[spoiler:prior to his removal yet is explicitly the weakest of their number]].

Though, he quickly lost his temper with him when he explained why he came, expressed that the latter's loyalty to the WG made him wary of Kuma, and took him using his CatchPhrase[[note]]"If you're going on a trip, where would you like to go?"[[/note]] as a challenge to a fight.
