A scientist from TheFifties who went underground when he [[MistakenForApocalypse thought the world was ending]]. Unfortunately his bomb shelter had leaks, and happened to be underneath a nuclear test site. [[GoMadFromTheIsolation Forty years of isolation]] being slowly contaminated by nuclear fallout has left him... [[AxCrazy a little touched in the head]].

* AffablyEvil: He does seem to be a pretty nice guy, what with his [[TheFifties 1950's manners and ettiquette]], just... that radiation poisoning. He even admits that likes Max's spunk when he's defeated and forced back underground at the end.

* StandardFiftiesFather: The doctor attempts to be this to Max, even outright calling him "son."

* ObviouslyEvil: Deathly pale skin, evil-looking cape complete with HighCollarOfDoom, [[NightmareFace skull-like face]], [[LooksLikeOrlok pointy ears]] and [[FemmeFatalons sharp claws]], [[EvilSoundsDeep deep voice]] that almost sounds like [[GutturalGrowler a perpetual growl]], has (on more than one occasion) vocally expressed his desire to [[WouldHurtAChild kill]] and [[EatsBabies devour]] a preteen boy... and if that's not enough, his name is ''[[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Skullmaster]]''!

* BoundAndGagged: He was bound in chains of adamnite, and gagged with an adamnite plate that locks under his chin, keeping his jaw from opening, in order to prevent him from using his [[MakeMeWannaShout destructive scream]], or really making any vocalization other than growling.

* MakeMeWannaShout: Lockjaw's greatest power and the reason why his jaw was...well, locked. His screams of rage destroy everything around him.

* VocalDissonance: Warmonger's hulking appearance would suggest a [[BadassBaritone deep, booming voice]], rather than the thin, raspy voice he actually has.

* SmugSnake: When Norman gets the confidence to fight back after Max and Virgil bring him Erlik's axe, Spike suddenly has an OhCrap look. Norman shatters his sword, and he's reduce to saying that IfYouKillHimYouWillBeJustLikeHim.

* BaldOfEvil: His head is completely shaved, [[ShortHairWithTail save for a ponytail]].

The BigBad of the entire series. He was once a Lemurian [[spoiler:and Virgil's best friend and prize student]] some 10,000 years ago. However, he turned evil and sought to conquer the world. His machinations led to the fall of Lemuria.

* ArchEnemy: To Max of course, him being the [[TheChosenOne Cap-Bearer]] who was prophised to be the one to destroy him. He's also this to Virgil, both once being [[spoiler:master and apprentice]] before he desired to rule the world by gaining the cosmic cap.

* EverythingsBetterWithDinosaurs: Zygote definitely agrees. It's not entirely clear how reviving the dinosaurs will help advance his plans, but he went ahead and did it anyway.

* AnAxeToGrind: It's also an AbsurdlySharpBlade, which makes sense considering it's also made of adamnite.
