* LawOfInverseFertility: Judging from Liara's files on her, [[spoiler:she's been trying really hard to get pregnant. Sadly, she has a benign neoplasm that makes her unable to conceive. It's subtly implied this was either yet ''another'' way Henry Lawson meant to control his daughter, or the "imperfection" that led to the creation of Orianna]].
* LikeFatherLikeSon: Subverted; they turn out to be very different people in the end. Both are highly talented scientists who use their intelligence to do the extraordinary. Miranda brings Shepard back to life, and Henry [[spoiler: manages to control husks independently of the ''Reapers.'']] However, while Miranda's only ethical quandary was whether to implant Shepard with a control chip (which she later regrets even considering) and she becomes a genuinely heroic person, Henry [[spoiler: sacrifices thousands, if not millions of innocent people to indoctrination in order to make his breakthrough, and never regrets a thing]].

* TheCastShowoff: Voice actor musical. Most fans approve, moment hilarious.

** In the third game, proves capable of inflicting electric shocks with omni-tool. [[CutscenePowerToTheMax Only in cutscene, however.]]

* UtilityPartyMember: No non-combat gameplay skills in series, but still fits this role aboard the ''Normandy''. Can't give or take as much punishment as most shipmates, and little to contribute during the combat-heavy SuicideMission endgame. However, technical expertise allows you to install the ship upgrades that save many lives during said Suicide Mission, and develops the Collector swarm countermeasures that allow survival on Horizon.

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Initially intended to be biotic. [[spoiler: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_28OE71kmA8&feature=channel One correct choice for maintaining Biotic Barrier during suicide mission]]. DummiedOut content lampshaded by Jack in [=ME3=]. Claims [[TalkingTheMonsterToDeath Mordin could have protected party from seekers by incessant babbling.]]]] Also, initially would have come into conflict with Grunt. The two have next to no problems with each other.

* MasculineGirlFeminineBoy: Her relationship with Male Paragon Shepard. She's the tough as nails, murderous criminal while he's the AllLovingHero.

* SadisticChoice: The Code requires that she kill any Ardat-Yakshi not confined to a monastery. Her daughter is an Ardat-Yakshi, and the monastery had just been levelled. If a justicar fails in her duties, the Code requires to kill herself to make amends. Guess what she does [[spoiler: if you don't stop her. Fortunately, Falere will stay in the ruins to help rebuild, and if Samara hears about this, then the Code will be satisfied, but to make sure that she doesn't get any ideas about escaping, Samara will visit her when she can to keep an eye on her. Just like a justicar should. [[BlatantLies That is the only reason]].]]
