Her ability is to '''be very good at lying'''. Anything that Uluru tells you will automatically be believed by anyone that can understand her. While this doesn't change reality, it does affect everyone's beliefs. The statement will always be believed unless given 100% proof that it's false. (For example, Uluru could say a chair is pink and you'd believe it until you see for yourself that the chair wis actually brown.) Uluru can also cancel her magic by admitting that what she said was a lie. For a weapon, Uluru has a pop gun rifle that fires a flag that says "BANG!" and makes a loud noise. It doesn't actually have bullets and is used more as a melee weapon.

[[folder:Snow White]]
!! Snow White/Koyuki Himekawa
!!! '''Voiced by:''' Creator/NaoTouyama (Japanese), Creator/MeganShipman (English)
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1_snow_white.jpg]]
A second year junior high school girl. She's rather idealistic, being a fan of various magical girl shows and manga since she was a kid. Not to mention, her dream was to become a magical girl herself. She believes that magical girls should always strive to help those in need, and is one of the most proactive magical girls when it comes to helping people, from dealing with large scale situations to smaller scale ones.

Her ability is to '''hear the thoughts of those in need'''. Anyone who is in distress will be able to have their minds read by Snow White. However, her range is limited; she won't be able to hear anyone outside of it.

After ''Unmarked'', she begins hunting down rogue magical girls, earning her the moniker "The Magical Girl Hunter".
----
* ActualPacifist: She's initially averse to the idea of fighting other magical girls, or anyone in general. After ''Unmarked'', this aspect of her character changes to that of a TechnicalPacifist.
* AdaptationDyeJob: Her hair and eye colors as magical girl were originally beige in the light novels, but the anime changed them to a pale pink. Since then, the light novels have depicted her hair and eyes as pink.
* AntiHero: After the turmoil she went through due to Cranberry's exam, she begins to hunt down other rogue magical girls.
* AscendedFanboy: She's a huge fangirl of the magical girl genre, ever since she was a kid. Naturally, she gets very excited when she becomes one herself. Her magical girl costume is even the exact same outfit as the one she designed back in elementary school.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: After wishing to be a magical girl for years, she actually manages to become one after joining the ''Magical Girl Raising Project'' game. Unfortunately, her wish comes crashing down around her when she and her fellow magical girls are forced to battle each other in order to stay alive.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Snow White is one of the more empathetic and compassionate magical girls, and God help you if you display enough evil intent to push past all that careful restraint and awaken the ruthless fighter underneath. While she may not kill her targets, she has no qualms with crushing bones, carving through skin, or breaking minds to stop villains in their tracks.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler:Via Puk Puck's Friendship Magic in ''QUEENS'', making her completely adore Puk Puck and fight for her goals. It's undone near the end by Lapis Lazuline III.]]
* BreakTheCutie: Once the elimination game turns into a bloody fight, her will is sorely tested. When her childhood best friend, La Pucelle, is killed, she becomes forlorn, to the point where she spends a majority of her sleepless nights in an alley.
%% BrokenBird: After the first arc. Oh so very much.
%% CartwrightCurse: Subjected to this after [[spoiler:La Pucelle is killed. Hardgore Alice and Princess Inferno also didn’t last long after meeting her again.]]
* ChildhoodFriends: She grew up with La Pucelle and shared her love of magical girls with her. She was also friends with Princess Inferno.
* TheCowl: After the first arc, she becomes similar to vigilantes such as Franchise/{{Batman}} in her personality and role.
* CrazyPrepared: She has mind-reading capabilities, a cyber-mascot companion that can access or hack personal records for nearly any opponent, a magical bag that can carry anything, and enough martial skill and tactical creativity to make even an army of magical girls nervous. In most cases, she is easily capable of determining the weaknesses of anyone she goes up against, physically or psychologically, and can prepare in advance enough to ensure that victory is a foregone conclusion.
* TheDragon: [[spoiler:To Puk Puck against her will, in ''QUEENS''. She's Puk Puck's tactician, giving orders to everyone, and she's one of the last lines of defense for the device.]]
* TheDreaded: Come ''JOKERS'', Snow White's become so renowned for hunting and arresting over 30 rogue magical girls, she has essentially become the boogeyman for rogue magical girls.
* FaceHeelTurn: [[spoiler:Puk Puck's Friendship Magic convinces Snow to join her side as Puck's personal bodyguard, putting her against the protagonists in ''QUEENS''.]]
* FrillsOfJustice: Her magical girl outfit has frills here and there, and she's taken it upon herself to track down and arrest rogue magical girls.
* GoodIsNotNice: After the events of the first arc, the trauma Snow White suffered has hardened her. While she's still unequivocally on the side of good, she won't hesitate to break some bones or shed some blood if it means capturing the bad guys.
* GuileHero: Snow White's ability is more passive than active, but she uses it in creative ways, such as reading the thoughts of her opponents to better counter their attacks. In addition to her innate power, her arsenal also includes a naginata, a four-dimensional bag, and a cyber fairy mascot who can help her track down magical girls and gain information on those she hunts. She's managed to outwit her opponents more than once because of these assets.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: During the events of the first arc, Snow White doesn't see how her power could be used in combat situations. As such, she often feels useless, even agreeing with other magical girls who feel the same. However, the rules of the elimination game state that the magical girl that helps the most people will survive. Since Snow White's power lets her hear those who are in distress, she can more easily find and assist them without having to go about searching for people who are visibly in distress, allowing her to rake in magical candies far quicker than the other magical girls.%%stopped here
* IdealHero: Most magical girls consider Snow White as this, [[DeconstructedCharacterArchetype though this is far from the truth.]]
* IconicOutfit: Snow White's outfit is this to La Pucelle. Thanks to drawing the exact outfit that she wears when they were kids, La Pucelle immediately clues in on who she really is.
* ItNeverGetsAnyEasier: Stated word for word in her POV from ''JOKERS'' when she contemplates the importance of maintaining hope while dealing with the pain that comes with the death of friends.
* ItsNotYouItsMyEnemies:
** [[spoiler:In later arcs, this is the explanation provided for why she chooses to keep everyone, including her cyber familiar, Fal, and her closest friend, Ripple, at arm's length. She's mortified by the possibility of others she cares for coming to harm because of her.]]
** [[spoiler:After Restart, it is revealed, through Fal, that Snow White installed hidden programs onto the personal mobile devices of all of her family, friends, acquaintances, and anyone else close to her that would allow her to pull them into Keek's former virtual pocket dimension at a moment's notice, should her Magical Girl opponents try to attack her through them.]]
* KnightInSourArmour: After the events of the first arc and especially by the end of Queens. She'll fight to take down rogue Magical Girls and stand up for what's right; but she's well aware of her limitations and doesn't think herself a hero capable of accomplishing anything more than hopefully saving a few lives, before dying in the pursuit of her ideals. Until that day comes, however, the Magical Girl Hunter will hunt.
* LightIsGood: Her outfit is mostly white and light-ish colors, and she is called the "White Magical Girl" by pedestrians.
* MartialPacifist: [[spoiler:After the events of the first volume, she decides to train to be able to defend herself and bring justice to the rogue elements of the Land of Magic.]]
* MeaningfulName: Her real name, Koyuki Himekawa, has the kanji for "snow" and "princess", befitting her Magical Girl name.
* NewTransferStudent: [[spoiler:At the end of ''Black'' she transfers into the magical girl class. Since she is a celebrity, the students recognize her name.]]
* NiceGirl: A kind girl who wants to resolve conflicts without having to kill someone. Unfortunately, the magical girl system [[DeadlyGame does not work like this.]]
* NotSoStoic: While she remains fairly stoic and reserved over the course of ''JOKERS'', she does emote more when opening up to Princess Inferno.
** Fal knows better than anyone just how broken she is underneath, in spite of all her careful control over her emotions. While her face may seem the model mask of indifference, she cannot hide from him the rise in her heart-rate whenever she's faced with something that upsets her. And he's been around her for so long that he knows how much even subtle changes in her features speak volumes. And if she abandons the mask completely in a moment of vulnerability or anger? Then it's time to truly worry.
* PsychicRadar: Part of her ability is to be able to track where people in distress are, even when they are invisible.
* RageAgainstTheMentor: [[spoiler:After the events of the first arc, she became a student of Pythie Fredrica. Come a year later, she's hunting down any of Cranberry's supporters, Pythie included.]]
* RedBaron: After the events of the first arc, Snow White has become so active in hunting down rogue Magical Girls that she gets the nickname "The Magical Girl Hunter".
* SailorFuku: This is her outfit design in a nutshell.
* ShellShockedVeteran: [[spoiler:After the first arc.]]
* ShipTease: Quite a bit with La Pucelle. [[spoiler:Makes it hurt even more when he's killed.]]
* TheStoic: Fal notes that Snow White almost never shows her emotions on her face by ''JOKERS''.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: She gives one to [[spoiler:the Game Master of the second book, Keek.]]
* ThouShaltNotKill: Even as the Magical Girl Hunter, she refuses to kill anyone so as to not go down a dark path.
* TookALevelInBadass: Oh boy. By the ''Restart'' arc, all the mental breakdown she endured in the first book is channeled to make her a ruthless fighter and a cunning strategist. She's effectively hunting down any rogue Magical Girls, earning her the nickname of "Magical Girl Hunter".
* TookALevelInCynic: After the events of the first arc and her new mentor Pythie Frederica turning out to be evil, she has difficulty trusting people, preferring to be a lone wolf. She's still devoted to saving people and hunting down bad guys, but she focuses on results over politeness. Fal keeps her from being too cynical though.
* TranquilFury: Having had more than enough of Fav's crap, she silently takes out her anger on the master terminal to try to break it while flatly responding to his thoughts. [[spoiler:Becomes her baseline emotional state when dealing with those she regards as truly heinous after ''Unmarked'']]
* WideEyedIdealist: At first, she is fully confident that Magical Girls are beings who fight for justice.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Ripple]]
!! Ripple/Kano Sazanami
!!! '''Voiced by:''' Creator/ManamiNumakura (Japanese), Creator/SarahWiedenheft (English)
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2_ripple.jpg]]
A high school girl living mostly on her own. Ripple isn't quite the type to want to be a magical girl in the first place, however, she can't exactly say no to these. Under the mentorship of Top Speed, she begrudgingly agrees to do her duties as a magical girl. She's less active than the other magical girls in general, but she does enough of her job to make it count.

Her ability is to '''never miss a target with anything she throws'''. Consequently, she has shurikens as her weapons, as well as a Katana for self-defense.
----
* AlwaysAccurateAttack: Her ability makes any of her thrown attacks into this by default. Destroying said projectile won't work either, as the fragments will keep going to said target.
* AnArmAndALeg: She loses her left arm and left eye in the fight with Swim Swim.
* AwesomeButImpractical: At least when it comes to helping people in need, there's a very limited set of circumstances where her ability would be useful. However, in combat, [[GameBreaker it's another matter entirely.]]
* BigNo: [[spoiler:Her reaction in the Light Novel on Top Speed's death.]]
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: [[spoiler:Her fate at the end of ''Limited''. It finally reverts at the very end of ''ACES''.]]
* CharacterTics: She has a tendency to say "tch" whenever she hears something she doesn't like.
* DefrostingIceQueen: She becomes more open after [[spoiler:Top Speed's death.]] This is perhaps shown best when [[spoiler:in ''Limited'', she genuinely tries to listen to others, and even laughs once in a while.]]
* {{Deuteragonist}}: For the first arc. Her thoughts and struggles get the second most amount of attention after Snow White, and she takes out more villains than any of the other heroes.
* DisneyDeath: For such a bloody series, Ripple is very good at not dying.
** At the end of the first arc she seems to have died from her injuries sustained against Swim Swim, but Snow White's Lucky Rabbit's Foot activates and helps her survive.
** [[spoiler:She's seemingly killed in ''Limited'' by Postarie, only for the epilogue to reveal she survived.]]
* EyeScream: Ripple's left eye is slashed when [[spoiler:she fights Swim Swim. Swim Swim slashes it with her halberd.]]
* FaceHeelTurn: [[spoiler:Throughout Limited to ACES, she's brainwashed to join Pythie's faction.]]
* GratuitousEnglish: In-Universe. She chose her Magical Girl name, Ripple, by translating her last name, Sazanami, into English.
* GratuitousNinja: In-Universe. She thinks it'd be cool to be a Magical Girl ninja for the heck of it in the mobile game.
* HandicappedBadass: [[spoiler:Still a badass after losing her arm and eye fighting Swim Swim.]]
* HeroWorshipper: Secretly idolizes Snow White and wishes to be an ideal Magical Girl like her.
* HomingProjectile: Everything she throws, not just her shurikens, has perfect accuracy.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: Thanks to her magic, whatever she throws will not miss.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: She gets a katana since she's a ninja.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:Upon being freed from Pythie Frederica's brainwashing in ''ACES''. After the events of ''Unmarked'', Ripple swore never to kill again. She made that promise and even chose to keep the scars of that incident as a permanent reminder-- only to awaken and find the body of yet another innocent at her feet, dead by her hand, with her pacifist best friend staring in wide-eyed horror as the victim's grieving sister regards her with furious, vengeful intent.]]
* NeverSpeakIllOfTheDead: [[spoiler:Once she's revived after her battle with Swim Swim, Ripple becomes furious when she hears Fav mock Top Speed's death and is not fooled in the slightest when he tries to make excuses for it]].
* {{Ninja}}: Her magical girl form looks like this in motif.
* NotGoodWithPeople: Initially she hates talking with people, having not got along with anyone in her past between obnoxious classmates and terrible (step) parents. Top Speed manages to get through to her via sheer persistence, and after the first arc she's willing to open up to those she trusts.
* NotSoStoic: Opens up a lot to Top Speed as their relationship moves forward. This culminates in [[spoiler:Ripple breaking down crying when Top Speed was killed in front of her.]]
* OlderAndWiser: [[spoiler:In ''Limited''. While still anti-social to a default, Ripple is a lot calmer, and easily one of the most reasonable of the veteran Magical Girls.]]
* PervertDad: Episode seven showcases one of the step-dads her mother married to be one.
* PervertRevengeMode: Kicked her step-dad in the face for lifting up her skirt. Also when she was a child, she beat a fellow student to the ground for calling her a whore.
* RefusalOfTheCall: Due to real life issues such as school, college, and part time jobs, Ripple never wanted to be a Magical Girl in the first place. Unfortunately, once you're chosen, there's [[YouCantFightFate no turning back.]]
* ReluctantFanserviceGirl: While she chose her own outfit because she thought it would look cool in the mobile game, she wasn't expecting to actually be wearing it as an actual Magical Girl. In fact, one of the first questions she asks is if she can change her outfit. Unfortunately, she can't.
* ScarfOfAsskicking: Wears one specifically because of this trope and RuleOfCool In-Universe. Also made the color red because she thought that [[TechnicolorNinjas having an all-black Ninja suit is a bit much.]]
* StockNinjaWeaponry: Both kunai and shuriken as well as a ninjato ([[EveryJapaneseSwordIsAKatana which always gets called a katana]]).
* SugarAndIcePersonality: Is very distant towards people in general. Eventually begins to warm up to her mentor, Top Speed.
* TragicKeepsake: [[spoiler:Top Speed's cape.]]
* {{Tsundere}}: Repeatedly called as such by Top Speed.
* WouldHurtAChild: [[spoiler:Stabbed a seven-year old girl while she's unconscious for killing her partner.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Fal]]
!! Fal
[[quoteright:282:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fal_4.JPG]]

The cyber fairy mascot character of the game master. Fal provides information and guides to the girls in-game, and can be called upon for any help if needed. Like Fav before him, he can't exactly do much physically, but he definitely knows the game inside out.

By the end of ''Restart'', Snow White takes him under her care.
----
* BenevolentAI: [[spoiler: Magical variation.]]
* DecoyAntagonist: [[spoiler: In-Universe, the girls believe he is the cause for all their trouble, when he's really just as much a victim as they are. Readers may also see him as this, considering what Fav has done in the previous book. Some of the dialogue of the Game Master imply that she was counting on the girls putting all the blame on him.]]
* ExactWords: Fal never lies, and everything he says is fact. [[spoiler:Sometimes he can't say things directly, so he'll have to imply it in some way.]]
* GoodAllAlong: [[spoiler:Nope, he ''isn't'' happily engineering this killing game out of his sick amusement. Indeed, Fal is probably one of the most moral and genial characters in the series.]]
* NiceGuy: [[spoiler:His real personality.]]
* ThrowTheDogABone: [[spoiler: After spending much of the book being progressively traumatised, Fal ultimately gets rescued and ends up Snow White's partner.]]
* TongueTied: [[spoiler:Keek's rules forbid him of helping the girls in more direct ways, forcing him to be vague and hope the girls will understand his hints.]]
* VerbalTic: Pon!
* WalkingSpoiler: [[spoiler:He isn't the BigBad, and indeed is really GoodAllAlong.]] It's basically impossible to discuss Fal as a character without bringing this fact up.
* UndyingLoyalty: [[spoiler: To Snow White after the events of ''Restart''. This is especially made apparent by the end of ''JOKERS'', where during a moment of seemingly inescapable death, he professes he would meet his end with her. And again, in ''QUEENS'', this is reinforced when he appeals to Pfle's similar devotions toward Shadow Gale, going so far as to trade Pfle back her lost memories in exchange for her cooperation in saving his mistress.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Pfle]]
!! Pfle/Kanoe Hitokouji
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/05_pfle.jpg]]

A Magical Girl with a wheelchair. Pfle has said that there are two types of Magical Girls. "Combat" and "Non-Combat". She considers herself the latter. However, don't mistake that for weakness. Pfle is one of the smartest girls in the group, able to adapt and plan ahead for almost any situation. Alongside her servant/childhood friend Shadow Gale, she seeks to win the game for them both.

Her ability is '''to possess a magical wheelchair'''. The wheelchair can travel at breakneck speeds, much like Top Speed's broom, as well as having weapons systems like lasers on them.
----
* AllForNothing: [[spoiler:As noted in the epilogue to ''QUEENS'', Pfle's sacrifice for Shadow Gale was ultimately worthless, as wiping Shadow Gale's memory of her reduced her to an EmptyShell.]]
* AnimalMotifs: Birds.
* AntiHero: Type 3. Pfle's goal is to keep Shadow Gale safe. Although Pfle could be considered morally good, as she does care for people and sympathize with them, ultimately, Shadow Gale's life comes first for her. No matter what.
* AnyoneCanDie: [[spoiler: Pfle survives a killing game, so she should be out of the danger, right? Wrong. A brainwashed Shadow Gale kills Pfle at the end of ''QUEENS''.]]
* BatmanGambit: Thanks to her life as a rich lady, being pampered by false praise, she has experience in finding out what people truly want. This way, she can always tell what makes you tick, and uses it to her advantage to manipulate others.
** [[spoiler: Has successfully done this to 102 other Magical Girls in her selection test, making them kill each other in order to protect herself and Shadow Gale.]]
* BerserkButton: Anyone that hurts Shadow Gale will suffer retribution from her. She also doesn't forgive slights against her friends and family.
* TheChessmaster: She's a master manipulator, and plans for almost every possibility, adapting whenever possible.
* ChildhoodFriends: With Shadow Gale.
* DealWithTheDevil: [[spoiler: In the past, she and Shadow Gale were in a selection test of 104 Magical Girls, organized by Cranberry. Since only one could survive, Pfle made a deal with Cranberry that said that if Pfle could make the test interesting, Shadow Gale can survive with her. Pfle then proceeded to manipulate the other 102 girls into killing each other, saving Shadow Gale's life in the process.]]
* EyepatchOfPower: The health condition in the Hitokouji bloodline degraded Kanoe's eye to the point of leaving her half-blind. As Pfle she sports a bird-shaped one as a result.
* GeniusBruiser: Claims her strengths are intellectual and not physical, but she can actually put up a decent fight.
* IllGirl: Sickly and wheelchair-bound. [[spoiler: This isn't really the truth.]]
* IronicName: Zigzagged. "Pflege" is German for "Caring", which ''is'' accurate to how she is normally...unless she judges you someone who she has to sacrifice.
* LadyAndKnight: The Lady to Shadow Gale's Knight.
* LastRequest: [[spoiler: Before she dies, she asks Lapis Lazuline III to wipe Shadow Gale's memories of her.]]
* TheLeader: Of Team Pfle.
* LoopholeAbuse: [[spoiler: Uses this to cause Puck Puck's death in ''QUEENS''. The end result of Sachiko's contract is that what the signer deems "the worst thing" that could happen to them occurs, usually resulting in their death. When she has the brainwashed Shadow Gale sign the contract, the worst thing Shadow Gale believed could happen was Puck Puck dying, which she does.]]
* MissionControl: [[spoiler:In ''Limited'', she is this to 7753, relaying information and advice via communicating with her goggles.]]
* NonIdleRich: Very wealthy, and easily one of the most active of the protagonists.
* {{Ojou}}: She was born into a wealthy family, and her family exudes considerable power over her town.
* ObfuscatingDisability: Bandaged herself to fool potential allies and enemies. [[spoiler: Despite the fact that Pfle has been sitting in a wheelchair during the entirety of ''Restart'', she actually stood up against Clantail.]]
* PlayingBothSides: [[spoiler:In ''Limited'' she's 7753's boss, relaying critical information to her at various points. She's also the one that sponsored Tot Pop to break out Pythie Frederica in order to stir up chaos in the investigation and once helps out Frederica when she's in a pinch. In addition, she's Rain Pow's sponsor for various jobs and eventually hires Rain Pow to kill Pukin. * GoodCounterpart: To Cranberry. Both of them are battle hungry Magical Girls with plant motifs on their costumes and are Archfiend Pam's students. However, while Cranberry wanted death matches, created conflicts to satisfy her desire, and will kill weaklings without a second thought, Marika doesn't kill unless necessary, mostly sought out existing conflicts, and won't fight weak Magical Girls since they're no fun.

* GoodNeedsEvil: Pretty much the philosophy for why she meddles with Snow White's life from the shadows after ''Limited''. All of it is to build her into a stronger, more ideal hero, even if it costs Snow all of her friends, her body, and her sanity.
* HeroWorship: Towards Snow White, considering her the one who can revolutionize the Magical Kingdom.
* LaResistance: Is part of one trying to reform the Magical Kingdom.

Her ability is '''To cause someone to be love-drunk when hit by her arrow'''. The first person she hits will fall in love with her. The second person hit will fall in love with the first person, and so on.
----
* AntiVillain: She is not a bad person by any means, but will follow Agri's orders now matter how twisted they are.
* CupidsArrow: People shot by her arrows will fall in love, though instead of by sight it’s determined by the order of who was shot. The first person will fall in love with Ren-Ren, the second with the first person, and so on. Ren-Ren is careful not to go overboard when using her power since it can get out of control easily.
* ParentalAbandonment: She never knew her father, and her mother walked out on her life while she was in elementary school.

!! Nephilia
[[quoteright:249:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nephilia.jpg]]

A magical girl hired by Agri to escort her for the inheritance. She’s well-versed in contracts, making her well-suited for the negotiations. She isn’t very good at communicating, teasing people constantly and speaking with a stuttering voice.

Her ability is '''To hear the voices of the dead'''. When she touches a corpse, she can listen to and replay out loud their last words for some time before their death.
----
* TheStoic: She has [[ExaggeratedTrope only one facial expression]], the one picture above.
* TheGrimReaper: She dresses like a reaper, carries a scythe, and can listen to the dead. She’s not an actual reaper who guides souls or kills people however.
* SinisterScythe: She has a scythe for her primary weapon, suitable for a reaper.
* WhatKindOfLamePowerIsHeartAnyway: Her ability is so situational that if [[spoiler: Meier]] didn't die she would have no way to use it.
