**Bostolm is somewhat sympathetic because, despite the fact that he is hilariously mad, [[spoiler:he only became this way because of the [[ArtifactOfDoom stone]] in the Lost Monastary. However, his dialogue with the High Priest shows that since he has been trapped in the metal shell that it may be possible for him to regain his sanity.]]
** Deena. She used to be a Canonian Shaman. [[spoiler:Until her husband stole the Earth Crystal and used its power to kill her. He also put the "taint" in the Tainted Grotto, which Deena claims used to be beautiful.]]

* MoralEventHorizon: His dreamstone. If you weren't disgusted by him [[spoiler:in Chapter 2,]] then when he threatens to [[spoiler:track Emela down with the intent of raping and killing her for what she did to him]] should do the trick.
* [[spoiler:NinetiesAntiHero: Steele was originally one big pot-shot at this sub-genre of hero. But then he [[NotQuiteDead "died"]] and came back as the Mysterious Man, embracing the role of a bad guy whole-heartedly.]]

* TheScrappy: Well, in a sense. The author hates him, making this somewhat intentional.

* {{Jerkass}}: He's somewhat rude to Mardek and seems to look down upon the people of Belfan. Granted, his race was far more technologically superior, but it doesn't stop him from taking snide potshots when he can. He also makes it clear that he has no wish to waste time speaking with Mardek's comrades in the Dream World in Chapter 3. [[spoiler: This is somewhat of a bit of ForeShadowing. Rohoph kicks his {{Jerkass}} qualities up to eleven at the end of Chapter three, chasing away Elywen by insulting her and bullying poor Mardek, taking complete control of his body.]]

The 'purple soul' seems to be a depressive individual known as 'Miserable Ol' Marin'. He seems to be incapable of happiness, and does nothing but complain about how hopeless everything is and how hard things are for him.\\

*WeaponOfChoice: A PowerArm, one of which is [[ChainsawGood a buzzsaw]].

Villainous characters native to Belfan. They tend to be of lesser importance and aren't very dangerous, at least compared to the Governance de Magi. [[hottip:*:Characters who are still needed: Saul. Possibly Mugbert, too.]]

Assorted miscellaneous characters that, while important to the plot, don't fit into any of the other categories. [[hottip:*: Characters who are still needed: Clavis. Possibly Lilanea and Social Fox, too.]]

* BlackMagic: He uses necromancy, obviously.

To put it short, Saul is a [[UnderStatement mentally insane]] individual whom you must track down for the quest to create Legion, Mereadore's [[{{Golem}} 'Metal]] [[RobotBuddy Man']]. Saul has kept a certain TomeOfEldritchLore from the library of Aeropolis 'far' past it's due date. Unfortunately, Mereadore needs that book to make Legion, so the party is forced to track him down to his house deep within the Canonia Woods to borrow it. Of course, even though Mereadore offers to return it once he's done, [[EvilIsPetty Saul refuses to loan it to him.]] And so you have to make it through his hordes of undead minions to take it from him...

*BondVillainStupidity: Leaves you alone to die in his zombie filled dungeon. [[CardboardPrison That has holes in the side of the walls and is easily escapable.]] All when he could have [[WhyDontYouJustShootHim finished you off right then and there.]]

*CharacterAlignment: NeutralEvil
*EverythingsDeaderWithZombies: His dungeon is one of two [[BigBoosHaunt Undead-centered]] ones in the game. While zombie enemies do appear elsewhere (such as [[spoiler:The Lost Monastary]]), his is explicitly zombie-centered.
*EvillyAffable: As long as you remember that his dungeon is a ZOMBIE themed dungeon and [[ReviveKillsZombie bring the right characters and take the right precautions,]] you will most likely enjoy every [[LargeHam hammy minute of it.]]

*OneSceneWonder: He hams it up for one quest in Chapter 3, and then he's [[VillainExitStageLeft mysteriously gone for the rest of the chapter.]] Only time will tell how big of a part he'll play in Chapter 4...

->One of the Royal Guard recruits who signed up at the same time as Mardek. He's a natural leader-type, naturally taking charge in missions, but does a good job of it and treats his teammates with respect.

->A quiet girl who signed up to join the Guard at the same time as Mardek. She's exceedingly shy and rarely speaks at all, and seems quite mild-mannered and kind of heart. She joined the Guard to help and heal people rather than destroy. She seems to have feelings for Donovan.

->The twenty-sixth Chieftain of Xantusia. He is honourable, fair, and strongly devoted to his people. He doesn't trust humans but is willing to put his personal feelings aside to accomplish a goal. [[spoiler: He has a deep fear of TheUndead, as they killed his parents.]] [[OneGenderRace Like all reptoids]], he is a hermaphrodite.

Sslen'ck is first encountered in the lower chambers of the Sun Temple, the final boss of the area. He along with two other reptoids attack Mardek, Donovan and Sharla, believing them to be the cause of the dark creatures unleashed. Upon his defeat, he learns that Mardek and company are not to blame. He invites them to his village, where he is the chief, and [[DefeatEqualsFriendship joins them on their quest after their arrival]], leaving [[EvilChancellor Blatantly Evil Chancellor]] in charge of Xantusia.

!Solaar - [[spoiler:IXth of Lupidar]]

->Solaar is a... strange talking wolf thing. Odd. His - her? - fur seems to glow with a pleasant light, and he twitches nervously every so often. His rapid, idiosyncratic speech and fidgety mannerisms suggest she's constantly anxious, almost paranoid... or maybe he's just energetic?

Solaar is first encountered, wounded, in the Dark Temple in front of the chamber to the Dark Crystal. Xe claims that xe is the guardian of the dark crystal. Xe challenged the Mystery Man to protect the crystal, but lost. Xe then is healed by Mardek - or Sharla, if she has learned Healing Wind - then joins the party to defeat the Mystery Man and find the other crystals under King Gonoroth's orders. [[spoiler:Later, it's revealed by the Dreamstone #13 that Solaar isn't actually the guardian of the crystal; instead, xe is a Runare from a planet called Kalhu, and xe was sent to Belfan by Chieftain Eraluf of the Runare to guard the dark crystal from an evil - Zaephros the Chaosbringer - that has just been seen to steal Belfan's dark crystal by the Runari Seer.]]

->A young girl who lost her parents to a curse from the Lake Hag. After Mardek defeats the Lake Hag, she falls in love with him and the two have remained good friends. She longs to travel with Mardek as she tires of village life.

-> Elwyen's best friend. She's kind, caring, and well-mannered, unlike - and possibly caused by - her brother, [[spoiler:Steele]]. She was selected to take over the position of Shaman of Canonia.

->Goznor's resident eccentric inventor. He speaks with a stutter.

->Legion was the "metal man" Meraeador was creating in Chapters 1 and 2. In Chapter 3, Meraeador joins your party to obtain the reagents required to summon a soul into him; but due to his stutter, he accidentally summons four souls.

The souls are [[TheVonTropeFamily Baron Von Doomkill]], former Shaman of Canonia Deena, a depressive individual known as Miserable Ol' Martin, and an insane yellow soul, revealed to be a priest of YALORT, Bostolm.

His very profession involves submitting to one person's will, following the orders of his employer without question. In his backstory, [[spoiler:he leaves his tribe to accompany a foreign adventurer (who is implied to be white), and he treats Zach as an inferior being, stupid and only good for killing stuff]]. And when he tells Mardek his full backstory at Lv. 26, he ends the conversation by calling Mardek "Master." (You are pretty much guaranteed to cringe when he says it.) All things considered, however, it may all be intentional.

A young woman who served on the Gonzor guard alongside Mardek and Deugan. She is very shy, and although she claims to have come from Canonia, she is very vague about her past. She serves as the party's SquishyWizard in Chapter 2.
