Replacing green link trope.

* EvilIsSexy: Oh ''hell'' yes. Described by everyone as pure evil right from her debut, and her transition from FemmeFatale master thief to queen of the Reptile Tribe only enhanced it.

* TheVamp: Oh ''hell'' yes. Described by everyone as pure evil right from her debut, and her transition from FemmeFatale master thief to queen of the Reptile Tribe only enhanced it.

* EvilIsSexy: She's a rudo to her toes as well as being a bombshell.
** At one point while in Dario's office, she (apparently) [[Film/BasicInstinct pulled a Sharon Stone]] on him, flustering him a bit.

\\\
For tropes related to Black, please see [[Wrestling/JustinGabriel his page]].

* AnimalMotif: Calls himself the [[RedBaron "Darewolf"]]. Accordingly, he sported a more werewolf-like hairstyle in Season 4.
* BashBrothers: Didn't take long to buddy up with Jack Evans.
* DefeatMeansFriendship[=/=]EnemyMine: PJ blamed Drago rather than Jack for the loss he received against Jack thanks to Drago's interference (and to be completely honest, [[JerkassHasAPoint you can't say he's wrong]]) and sided with Evans to get revenge on Drago.
* ForgotFlandersCouldDoThat: Like the rest of the members of the WWU, PJ had been subject to considerable BadassDecay as he was reduced to a slimy cheating coward who mainly participated in beatdowns of wrestlers the WWU members couldn't beat fairly. Then he had his hard-fought Cueto Cup match against Prince Puma, followed by his 1-on-1 match against Rey Mysterio, and reminded the Believers of just how good he ''really'' is.
* GroinAttack: Like his partners, has taken to kicking opponents in the junk while the referee's distracted. While the WWU largely ditched this after a while, he revived it to good effect in late Season 4.
* HeManWomanHater: Displayed an uncomfortable amount of misogyny towards Sexy Star during a match, to the point where Vampiro [[EvenEvilHasStandards wanted to hit him with a chair for it]].
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Matt Striker invoked this by name for him after he set up a table during Mundo's rematch with Mack, only to eat a Stunner and break it himself by falling off the apron and through it.
* ManlyTears: Sheds these after Taya accepts Mundo's marriage proposal in "A Match Made in Heaven".
* YesMan: He's taken to tagging along behind Johnny Mundo, sycophantically repeating everything amusing he says and laughing at it as if it's top-class stand-up comedy.

\\\
For tropes related to Ryan, please see [[Wrestling/JoeyRyan his page]].

* AbortedArc: His status as an undercover cop and mole has gone completely unmentioned in Season 4.
* BallsOfSteel: Part of his gimmick involves [[NoSell noselling]] [[GroinAttack groin attacks]]. Vampiro once quipped that he has a "bionic [[Series/TheSixMillionDollarMan Six Million Dollar Man]] jockstrap".
* CarpetOfVirility: Oh yeah. It's a huge part of his sleazy image.
* CasanovaWannabe: Styles himself as a ladies man as part of his gimmick, but how much it's him just playing his cover and how much is actually his personality is up for debate.
* CoolShades: Sports a badass pair of police glasses.
* DidntThinkThisThrough: His plan for Aztec Warfare II was to handcuff himself to the guardrail outside the ring, preventing him from being pinned. Sounds good, except for the glaring flaw was that he couldn't do anything at all while cuffed to it and was wide open and was beaten down by others during the match. The handcuffs didn't deter Matanza either, he just ripped the rail free before dragging Ryan into the ring.
** He still hadn't thought it through the following Season, when he tried handcuffing himself to the stair rail during Aztec Warfare III. He lasted even less time, as Mil Muertes came out, broke the handcuffs, hauled him into the ring, and eliminated him.
* DirtyCop: Ryan may be loyal, but he's also crooked (probably another reason Officer Reyes hates him). When he's searching Cueto's office for evidence, he finds Cueto's stacks of cash in his desk draw and his reaction is ''literally'' "payday has come early".
** Taken even further in Season 3 where he's no longer loyal at all and immediately sells out the police and Castro/Reyes to Dario. He's clearly rotten to the core.
* IfItsYouItsOK: Though Ryan is most definitely a ladies' man, he was not adverse to XO Lishus bouncing his face off his behind and twerking for him, even seemingly liking it and asking for a kiss afterward. This seeming fondness for Lishus even led Ryan to intervene in his No Mas match with Jack Evans, potentially saving his life in the process. They later decided to team.
* LovableSexManiac: The reigning king of wrestling of this trope. Joey is ''sleeeeeazy'', but he's so hilarious in action that people can't help but love him.
* TheMole: Offered to be this for Dario Cueto.
* PornStache: It does double duty, since not only does he sport it as part of his sleazy ladies' man gimmick, he's also an undercover cop, which is another character archetype associated with this kind of 'stache.
* ReallyGetsAround: His reason for selling Reyes and the police out to Dario? [[SugarWiki/FunnyMoments "I got child support to pay."]]
* SweetTooth: That ever-present lollipop.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Him and Officer Reyes aka. Cortez Castro don't get along, but they work together as undercover agents to take down Dario Cueto.
* TemptingFate: Just before his debut bout in the Temple he stopped by the dressing room to [[KickTheDog taunt Reyes about the beating he'd just taken]], mockingly suggesting Reyes could watch his upcoming bout for a few tips on how to wrestle, saying he expected to make short work of his opponent. Who would said opponent turn out to be? [[WrestlingMonster Cage.]]

\\\
For tropes related to Mariposa, please see [[Wrestling/CheerleaderMelissa her page]].

* AnimalMotif: "Mariposa" is Spanish for "butterfly" (though the word has also been used for "moth") and she certainly dresses the part.
* AristocratsAreEvil: She considers herself Aztec nobility, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EolEwAXyTB8 referring to Melissa Santos as a "peasant girl"]] and stating she's not worthy of Marty.
* BrotherSisterIncest: Implied in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EolEwAXyTB8 her promo video]], where she describes herself as Marty's "perfect butterfly". Season 3 sees an increased and disturbing amount of physical closeness between them.
* TheCameo: Attended Johnny Mundo and Taya's wedding unmasked as a bridesmaid.
* TheDreaded: When she ran into The Mack, Sexy Star seemed more afraid of Mariposa than of Marty.
* GirlishPigtails: With leather straps plaited into them. They make her look even creepier by playing up the [[PsychopathicManchild Psychopathic Womanchild]] aspects of her character.
** Not coincidentally, they also resemble moth antennae.
* HeelFaceTurn: While it remains to be seen whether she's actually turned completely face, she broke away from Marty and prevented him from welching on his bet after losing the ''lucha de apuestas'' against Fenix, even handing Melissa the scissors and electric razor to cut his hair. Later averted, as she states that she did it to motivate him instead of actually turning on him.
* IdleRich: Like her half-brother, she's been seen flashing some serious cash at Antonio Cueto to buy a shot at the Gift of the Gods, yet she competes in the Temple.
* LegacyCharacter: "Mariposa" is a title passed down to the Moth Tribe's greatest warrior, [[UnreliableNarrator or so Marty says.]] Her later statement of "I may wear the mask of the Mariposa" suggests that this is actually true to some degree.
* MistreatmentInducedBetrayal: Marty pulling her into the way of Fenix's dive was the last straw for her, at least at the time. Later revealed to not be the case at all.
* NotMeThisTime: Denied being responsible for hiding a giant spider in Sexy Star's locker when Sexy confronted her about it, stating that if it had been her she would've left something beautiful, like a butterfly. Sexy clearly didn't believe her.
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney: Like her half-brother, she has flashed cash to purchase a shot at the Gift of the Gods.
* SiblingRivalry: Her and Marty have a particularly violent version of this.
* SiblingTeam: Sometimes with Marty, although she states in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EolEwAXyTB8 this promo video]] that's they're only half-siblings.
* SpellMyNameWithAThe: Sometimes referred to as "The Mariposa".
* StealthMentor: Pretty much everything she's done to her half-brother was in the name of motivating him to reach what she believes is his true potential.
* ThemeNaming: Marty's a moth, Mariposa's a butterfly.
* [[ManBitesMan Woman Bites Woman]]: Tried to rip into Ivelisse's cheek with her teeth while Marty distracted the ref.

\\\
For tropes related to the Unknown Benefactor, please see [[Wrestling/WadeBarrett his page]].

* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: Implied to be this to MATANZA by Councilman Delgado. Which, if it's true, is scary as hell.
* CigarChomper: The very first thing seen of him were his gloved hands lighting a cigar.
* ConspicuousGloves: In all his appearances prior to Season 4, both his hands were gloved.
* HighClassGloves: Black with metallic-looking green parts.
* PowerMakesYourVoiceDeep: Fittingly for a being claimed to be the most powerful in the world, his voice is very deep and [[EvilSoundsDeep kinda creepy]].

Returned at Mundo's side in Season 4 to antagonize and attack Kobra Moon and Drago after Drago's loss to DA Jr. Was present at a meeting of the Worldwide Underground, where she learned that the Reptile Tribe had declared war on them and was introduced to Ricky's doll, Rosa. She and Mundo defeated Moon and Daga with the assistance of Black, but all three were attacked by Vibora and she and Black were tormented by the Reptiles. She accompanied Mundo for his match with Vibora and interfered heavily in the match, but was run off by Drago and Daga. She attacked again post-match, but was run off once more. Alongside Mundo and eventually Ricky, she attacked Daga after his match with Black, but was run off by Vibora after the WWU isolated him in the ring and he overpowered them. Later, she and Mundo infiltrated the Reptile Temple, where they were caught by Vibora. After defeating him in a rough battle, she decapitated him. Taya was shocked and angered when Mundo chose to use the wish that they and Aerostar had earned by defeating the Reptiles in an Atomicos match on Aerostar, confronting him afterward, then burst into tears when he clarified that his real wish could only be granted by her before asking her to marry him, to which she said yes. During their wedding shower, she first gave him a portrait of himself with the Lucha Underground championship, then revealed that she had gone to Antonio Cueto and requested a match on his behalf for the title. Her wedding to Mundo nearly went off without a hitch, but unfortunately for her, though she had no part in the WWU's verbal abuse of Ricky Mundo this time, the actions of her soon-to-be husband and the rest of the WWU against Ricky caused the complete destruction of the ceremony. Ricky, scorned by his supposed allies, released Matanza to crash the wedding. Bloodied from the Monster headbutting her, she fought back and was slammed into her wedding cake. With revenge on her mind, she returned to the Temple after a month and a half, seeking revenge against Matanza for crashing her wedding. She challenged him to a match, but Antonio Cueto intervened and tried to make her a sacrifice. Though she fought her hardest and took Matanza to the limit, she was about to be finished off by the Monster when her husband intervened and got her to safety. Later in the night, she was challenged by Ricky Mundo to a match for Ultima Lucha Cuatro. Upon seeing Matanza attack Mundo, she promptly attacked Matanza as well, but was destroyed by the Monster. Taya soundly defeated Ricky at Ultima Lucha Cuatro, and in a possibly foolish decision, chose to take Rosa with her.

Accompanied by his queen, he entered Aztec Warfare IV, but was eliminated by Johnny Mundo. Moon subsequently avenged his loss by siccing Vibora on Mundo. Though he and Moon were defeated by Taya and Mundo with the assistance of PJ Black, he helped torment Taya and Black after Vibora destroyed all three. Alongside Drago, he interfered in Vibora's match with Mundo to help run off Taya and PJ Black, then ran them off again after the match. Defeated Black in a match and was saved from a WWU beatdown by Drago and Vibora. Joined Moon, Drago, and new Reptile Tribe recruit Jeremiah Snake (replacing the decapitated Vibora) in an Atomicos match, which the Reptiles unfortunately lost. He then lost Drago as a partner, as he was released thanks to the wish Mundo had won from Moon. He would bounce back the next week, as, alongside Jeremiah and Moon, he became a Trios champion, as his team took advantage of infighting between Killshot and Son of Havoc to capture the titles. Their first defense went the same way, as they took advantage of Fenix turning on partners Aerostar and Drago to retain. Joined Moon and Jeremiah in a second successful defense against XO Lishus, Ivelisse, and Joey Ryan. Will defend the Trios titles in a three-way Trios match against the Rabbits and XO Lishus, Ivelisse, and Sammy Guevara at Ultima Lucha Cuatro.

Superior to Officer Reyes and Officer Meehan on the police force, who oversaw the investigation into Dario Cueto. Assembled a list of deceased and missing persons in connection to Cueto, and seemed hellbent on bringing him to justice. However, she was told by Councilman Delgado to back off, as someone even more powerful than the mayor of Los Angeles was protecting Cueto. Attempted to cut Mr. Cisco a deal regarding his various crimes and recruit him as a mole within the Temple, citing his closeness to Cueto and her belief that Cueto is the lynchpin for the end of days, a deal which Cisco seemed to have accepted. Despite the death of her mole, she was able to see Cueto arrested, although at the hands of a task force instead of her own.

* AbortedArc: As Carmen Perez moved to Norway after Season 3, Cortez Castro was Sacrificed, and Fenix was used to facilitate Catrina's revival (with Catrina herself written off shortly afterward), it's fairly safe to say that the police-related storyline ended up as this.
