But he says that a lot of it was due to luck or other people covering for his failures and that he, when you get down to it, wouldn't have accomplished anything on his own.

* {{Badass}}: Certainly; [[spoiler: she's the first one of Shiroe's party to figure out how fighting works.]] And boy, does she make it look awesome. Shiroe particularly notes that she's a "good" assassin. Considering Shiroe's knack for strategy and his own status, it's reasonable to draw the conclusion that if Shiroe calls her "good", Akatsuki is ''really'' "good".

* {{Badass}}: [=DTP=] alumni and as such, is recognized in-universe as a formidable adventurer.
** It's worth mentioning that Nyanta doesn't have any Phantasmal Class gear and his only Artifact Class item is a pair of boots that boost his inventory size. Despite this, he was ranked just behind Isaac and Krusty in 1v1 [[PlayerVersusPlayer PvP]] before the Apocalypse putting him in the top 3 on the Japanese server. Nyanta is just that good at the game.

* {{Badass}}: When you realise that he's [[spoiler:a Lander and thus only receives 1/4 the EXP of Adventurers, you realise that for him to reach the mid-20s is a feat that would probably land him somewhere around the 60 mark if he hadn't been held back by his Lander identity.]]

* {{Badass}}: He takes down a boss that was using an exploit to increase her HP, when earlier she wiped out a huge 96 man raid. ''By himself''.

!The Knights of Odyssea

A guild initially native to Akiba, since the Catastrophe they have decided to not tie themselves down to a single Main/HubCity, and instead travel the countryside fighting whatever foes they could find. They firmly believe that, if they die enough times, they can return back to the real world; to this end, they carry around a portable resurrection shrine, with not only facilitates their nomadic nature, but gets them back into the fight quickly when they die.

Unlike the city-dwelling adventurers, the Knights continue to treat their existence as a game, and have no qualms of treating Landers as {{NPC}}s, to the point of not even seeing their deaths during encounters as collateral damage, a fact that infuriates the junior members of Log Horizon.

to:

* DeathSeeker: They all deliberately want to do this, as their leader tells Touya that every time they die, they can see glimpses of the world they came from, and try to reach closer to it as much as they can.

* LeeroyJenkins: Their modus operandi. Every single one of them tries to provoke and aggro as many monsters as they possibly can, with the intention of getting killed so they can see the real world. However, this disturbs Touya and the others when they witness this first hand.

Even if it means Landers accidentally getting killed or their town getting trashed by the monsters in the process of the fighting. Touya in particular gets rather angry about their blase attitude.
