* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: While Vergilius is unpleasant towards the sinners and views them as an unruly group that he is forced to watch over and has no qualms with threatening or disciplining them with violence, he cared deeply for the people he lost, such as the orphans he previously looked over, and the members of his now defunct Office. This affection is also why he is in Limbus Company in the first place; [[spoiler:he wishes to restore Charon back into her former self as Lapis.]]

Except... that changes over the course of the story as for example Faust loses confidence in her own knowledge, and Ishmael [[spoiler:undergoes SanitySlippage]], causing them to swap places as Mean and In-Between.

* TheDreaded:
** When he makes the slightest noise on the bus, the Sinners ''immediately'' freeze up, and nobody dares go against his word. This is for a ''damn good reason'', given he's a Color Fixer and thus one of the strongest people in the city.
** In a conversation between Roland and Gebura, Roland is asked who he believes is the strongest Fixer now, to which Roland gives several possible answers, not including Vergilius. Gerbura then rewords her question, asking who he thinks is the ''most dangerous'' Fixer. To which Roland only gives one answer: Vergilius.

Added DiffLines:

* EmotionalPowers: While much less obvious than his manifested E.G.O., Vergilius is able to materialize glowing rings around his gladius and his body, empowering his attacks. ''{{Webcomic/Leviathan}}'' refers to this ability as ''Shin (心)'', and Vergilius describes harnessing it with a clear mind and recalling certain emotional memories. [[spoiler:This comes back in Canto VI as one of the few passives, alongside ''Mang (望)'', which are observable on him when he intervenes during the Wild Hunt. Fittingly, it consumes some of his sanity in order to be generated, empowering his skills' damage.]]

Added DiffLines:

* HiddenDepths: The most important trait shared between the Sinners is that they all have MUCH more complicated feelings beneath their skin than what's first shown. Whatever first impression a Sinner makes, just assume their true self is the complete opposite of that impression.

* SuperSpeed: Courtesy of his leg augmentations, he moves very fast, [[FlashStep as demonstrated]] on Don Quixote. This also translates [[spoiler:into his gameplay version in Canto VI: whereas rolling a 10+ on speed is a luxury reserved for Identities specializing in speed, Vergilius has a speed range of ''30-40''.]]

Added DiffLines:

* MadeOfIron: They're surprisingly durable despite not having any direct combat abilities: when Ishmael tries to kill Smee in Canto V, Dante stands in the way and takes an extremely sharp harpoon to the shoulder, and manages to withstand it with no permanent damage at all.

* RippleEffectProofMemory: When [[spoiler:Catherine is erased from existence in every single Mirror World]], Dante is one of the only two characters to remember she even existed.

Added DiffLines:

* TheDeterminator: It seems that it's this quality of Dante that makes them the perfect candidate for collecting the Golden Boughs. As demonstrated in Canto VI, [[spoiler:it's confirmed that the true power of the Golden Boughs is to make wishes come true, and Faust indirectly confirms that Dante's own willpower plays a factor in being able to manifest new abilities. This culminates in Dante resonating with the Golden Boughs and acquiring the ability to slow time for everybody except themselves and the Sinners]].
