* BerserkButton: Whenever a human steals his gold or makes fun of him. (Which tends to happen a lot)

* HumansAreBastards: He views humans as inherently greedy and self-absorbed, which is certainly justified by most of the people he meets, and thus feels no compulsion about stealing from or killing them. Though [[{{Hypocrite}} he's hardly one to criticize anyone else]] for these faults.

* AffablyEvil: While he's mostly FauxAffablyEvil, as stated below, he does have a select few moments of genuine affability. In the first film, he offered to shine Ozzie's shoes. In the third, he briefly developed an OddFriendship with an ElvisImpersonator. In the sixth, he impatiently but politely waited for someone to finish their cellphone call before speaking with them. He has also been known to sometimes spare humans if they return his gold. He usually won't kill if he's not provoked. That being said, he does have his share of KickTheDog moments, perhaps DependingontheWriter.

* AxCrazy: Watch out for the sharp fingernails and teeth, he bites and scratches.

* KickTheDog: In the fifth film, he horribly kills a transvestite while having sex with them for seemingly no reason, and he later starts having his Zombie Fly Girls bring him victims to kill for fun. This was jarringly out of character, as he usually does not kill without reason.

* ButtMonkey: Although he himself has inflicted multiple murders and injuries, he also gets shot at, punched, burnt, kicked by humans but because 95% of the time it was out of self-defense, he should've seen it coming and it's hard to feel sympathy for him.

* ImmuneToBullets: He's immune to almost ''anything''. Gunfire doesn't kill him, it can only propel him away for 1 to 2 feet from original position. Though carrying a gun is a better decision than not because at least then it can buy you some time to run away from Lubdan.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Cares only about himself; the only humans he's ever shown to gotten along with were an ElvisImpersonator and a stoner who offered him the chance to smoke weed out of a water bong, and in the latter case, their friendship only lasted for 62 seconds before Lubdan found out the stoner secretly had one of his golden coins.

* ResurrectiveImmortality: It's impossible to permanently kill Lubdan. Even if his body is blown to pieces, or ejected into the void of space, he'll eventually regenerate.
* {{Sadist}}: He loves killing and inflicting pain.

* WouldHurtAChild: In the first film, he tried to decapitate Alex with a beartrap.

* OneManArmy: He does not get any sort of ally in any of the movies.

The titular character. A deranged leprechaun obsessed with collecting his gold and exacting revenge on any human that tries to take it from him.[[note]]This section is not about the monster depicted in ''Film/LeprechaunOrigins'', as they are completely different characters.[[/note]] Warwick Davis portrayed Lubdan for the first 6 movies, Linden Porco takes over in ''Returns''.
