* LogicalFallacy: Believes that because most ''American'' superheroes are fine with going without secret identities, ''Ladybug'' should be fine with having her own identity pursued and exposed. The fact that Ladybug has good reasons to protect her identity with Hawkmoth about is lost upon her.

* StupidSacrifice: Ladybug effectively treats Chat Noir's tendency to perform HeroicSacrifices (and abusing the Miraculous Cure as a ResetButton) to pointlessly gamble with his own safety like this. He even got killed by Timebreaker in the original timeline because he insisted on doing one of these when it just left Future Ladybug to fix everything.

* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Her posting of Lila's false claim of being besties with Ladybug on the Ladyblog has the [[DeconstructedTrope darker]], [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome more realistic consequence]] of putting Lila in mortal danger because Hawk Moth saw the interview and targeted Lila.

** A lot of the drama of "Spell It Out" [[CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot could have been easily averted]] if Nathaniel calmed down and listened to Marc and Jean instead of jumping to conclusions, not to mention Nathaniel should have realized that there is no real "Diary of Ladybug", since she takes the matter of a SecretIdentity seriously. Him choosing to rip up Marc's notebook cost him a potential friendship and [[ShipSinking perhaps something more]].

* TriangRelations: Type 4: Ondine and Kim are close friends, but Kim has a hopeless crush on Chloé.

** She didn't think that anybody else would find out about [[spoiler: her fake Miraculous]], let alone [[spoiler: [[UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom unintententionally call her bluff]]]]. It nearly gets her killed.

* OutOfFocus: Of the Mendeleiev students, Mirielle has the least amount of screentime. {{Justified}} since she's a ShrinkingViolet.

* EveryoneHasStandards: He allowed Ladybug to comfort Aurore after Stormy Weather, and actually has the decency to warn her that her transformation was about to run out without taking advantage of it. It's one of the few moments he actually proves responsible.

* SecretChaser: Despite Ladybug's insistence on keeping their secret identities ''secret'', he still tries to figure out who she is, to the point of only paying attention to Aurore when he thinks he might be able to use her as a way to figure it out.
** This eventually gets {{Deconstructed}} as the fic goes. Adrien's reckless pursuit of Ladybug's SecretIdentity and other information he hasn't proven trustworthy with [[TeethClenchedTeamwork wears on their partnership]] atop of the rest of Adrien's flaws, and arguably makes him TheMillstone to a team of heroes who need secrecy in order to operate against the BigBad. It's also implied that Adrien plans to attempt to use the knowledge of Ladybug's SecretIdentity to [[YouCantFightFate pressure her into a "romantic relationship" with him]], [[{{Yandere}} which isn't portrayed positively in the slightest]].

* DidntThinkThisThrough: Fails to consider the very real possibility of her claims of being besties with the local superheroine getting back to Ladybug... or reaching the ears of the local supervillain.
** She also didn't think that anybody else would find out about [[spoiler: her fake Miraculous]], let alone [[spoiler: [[UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom unintententionally call her bluff]]]]. It nearly gets her killed.

* ArcVillain: She was one for the longest time, taking until "Don't Kiss and Tell" to finally stop and have a HeelRealization.

* NotSoDifferent:
** From Chloé. Much like his childhood friend, he puts [[ItsAllAboutMe his personal desires]] ahead of everything else; if somebody else doesn't share his feelings, then that's ''their'' problem. Biggest difference is ''how'' he justifies his self-centeredness, as he likes to believe he's got the moral high ground or that destiny is on his side, and that he puts up a pretense of decency while Chloé sees nothing wrong with being openly entitled.
** From [[spoiler:[[ArchnemesisDad his own father]]]]. Both are [[spoiler:[[ItsAllAboutMe selfish men]] [[BewareTheSuperman with dangerous superpowers]] involved in the fashion industry who are after [[TheHero Ladybug's]] SecretIdentity for their own reasons, [[LackOfEmpathy are apathetic to collateral damage]] if it gets them what they want, are [[ToxicFriendInfluence negative influences to the people around them]], [[SingleTargetSexuality are unhealthily obsessed with only one woman]] [[ObliviousToLove despite the others in their lives]], [[NoListeningSkills refuse to listen to anything they don't want to hear]] and don't know when to take "No" for an answer, [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking and have a]] [[KickTheDog pretty abusive relationship to their respective Kwami]] and will threaten them if they protest]]. It seems that [[spoiler:[[LikeFatherLikeSon the apple didn't fall too far from the tree]]]].
** From Nathaniel. Both are boys in Bustier's class who have been (at one point in their lives) attracted to Ladybug [[spoiler:and in a way, Marinette]], to the point of [[EntitledToHaveYou feeling entitled to her]]. Both have dreams of being seen as heroes, but both of their personalities [[ThePoorlyChosenOne don't exactly make it work]]. And both are the targets of someone else's affection, only to brush them off.

* NotSoDifferent: From Adrien. Both young men are selfish, entitled boys who are attracted to Ladybug and [[WrongGenreSavvy view themselves as the heroes of the story]] when that's not even ''close'' to what they are. Neither takes being called out on their self-centeredness well, and resist learning anything from their experiences.

* TokenGoodTeammate: Kim is the only decent member of Marinette's former class she can bond with, especially since he took the lesson he learned after his Akumatization to heart. [[spoiler:It's why he's the first member of the class that Marinette gives a Miraculous to, albeit temporarily.]]

* DemotedToExtra: Rather than becoming a major antagonistic force, she's quickly embarrassed on her first day at Dupont, and any grudge she holds against Ladybug ''pales'' in comparison to the one she's got against Hawkmoth for taking her hostage and forcing her exposure.

* NeverMyFault: After her kidnapping, she blames Hawkmoth, Ladybug and Chat Noir for what happened, refusing to acknowledge that it was her own actions that created that situation in the first place.

* UngratefulBastard: {{Downplayed}}, but she gives Ladybug a look of disdain as she saves her and comments on how [[IWarnedYou she warned her]] that she was playing with fire. However, she's probably more upset that [[BigBad Hawk Moth]] even targeted her to begin with.

** Played straight during the Simon Says incident, where he directly witnesses Ladybug loan [[spoiler:Nino the Rabbit Miraculous as the superhero Jackrabbit]].

** During the Collector incident, Chat is more worried about [[spoiler: getting out of his [[YouAreGrounded punishment for swiping the book]] than [[FridgeHorror stopping and asking why his dad even HAD this book on the Miraculouses]] in the first place]].

* TheyJustDontGetIt: By the end of the story, it's clear that he has learned ''nothing'' from his experiences, as he barely hesitates before [[spoiler:telling his father that he was Chat Noir]], and blames Ladybug for not following his whims or [[spoiler:giving him another Miraculous]].

* NeverMyFault: Blames Ladybug for Theo's akumatization into Copycat, and gets very upset when it looks like the consequences of [[spoiler:his swiping the grimoire from his father's safe]] might stick.

* AdaptationalHeroism: {{Downplayed}} because she's far from a hero [[ConsummateLiar and still a pathological liar]], but she's probably NOT going to be on Hawk Moth's side since she's probably upset Hawk Moth kidnapped her, tried to kill her, and exposed her lies ensuring public humiliation.
* AdaptationRelationshipOverhaul: She's so far not Marinette's ArchEnemy since they're in different classes, and her relationship with Ladybug, while still semi-hostile, is not outright antagonistic. Instead, she's angrier at Chat Noir, starting a smear campaign against him by [[spoiler: [[NeverMyFault blaming the fake Fox Miraculous on him]] and]] claiming she dumped Chat.

* IHaveYourWife: Was the wife in the scenario. Hawkmoth had Mime take her hostage and attempted to kill her to force Ladybug to surrender her Miraculous.

* SecondSuperIdentity: When Tikki falls ill, Marinette takes up the Bee Miraculous as Marigold.

* AdaptationalSuperpowerChange: In canon, he wields the Turtle Miraculous as the superhero Carapace. [[spoiler:Here, he is loaned the Rabbit Miraculous and becomes the superhero Jackrabbit.]]
