She is constantly driven mad by Konata's antics and acts harshly on the little otaku when she's sleeping in her class, forgetting her summer homework and playing instead of studying or waking up early, among others, yet outside class she is friendly with her, sharing various hobbies with her and being at the same MMORPG party.

* VitriolicBestBuds: With Kagami. They may argue but they're genuinely best friends.

* SternTeacher: She takes her duties as a teacher seriously, which is exemplified by her relationship with Konata, her most problematic student; she's always quick to chastise the small otaku for various misdemeanors such as being late, making up lame excuses, falling asleep in class or playing an MMO instead of studying and/or resting during schooldays, sometimes using corporal punishment to set her straight. Despite this, she does care about her students getting a good education and is generally friendly with the main characters.

Her sheer unpredictability--even if she's just acting--makes for her biggest RunningGag.

* {{Keigo}}: Her Japanese speech patterns are always very polite, reflecting her wealthy upbringing. When Konata gets hooked on ''Marimite'' and starts talking like a stereotypical {{Ojou}}, Miyuki seamlessly plays along with it.

* SurprisinglyGoodEnglish: The fact that she can hold whole conversations with Patty ''in English''. Justified with her general IQ and when she said she did take English conversation classes.

* AmbiguouslyBi: She's quick to comment on other girls' cuteness and InUniverse {{Moe}} traits (especially in regards to [[{{Tsundere}} Kagami]] and [[CuteClumsyGirl Miyuki]]) and plays a lot of [[HGame H-Games]] aimed at straight men, plus WordOfGod says either she or Kagami ([[TeasingCreator he doesn't say]]) has a one-sided crush on the other. However, she has stated she's not into real-life lesbian relationships, so it's not clear how much she really is attracted to girls outside of fiction. She also occasionally shows interest in getting a boyfriend.

* EveryoneHasStandards: She may be a huge {{Otaku}} who frequently talks about other girls' {{Moe}} traits InUniverse and has a questionable grasp on reality, but she's still put off by her otaku father's [[ComedicLolicon fixation on underage girls]] and often worries he'll get arrested.

* DitzyGenius: She's very BookSmart and capable of all kinds of tasks, and often comes up with the best ideas out of the group, but she's also quite clumsy and prone to spacing out. The implication is that she's so busy thinking about things that she pays less attention to the world around her than she should be, leading to her clumsy moments.

* HollywoodToneDeaf: Zigzagged; the end credits for the first half of the anime show that Konata can be ''very'' off-key when singing upbeat, passionate theme songs from anime and TV shows (such as when she sings "Cha-La Head-Cha-La" from ''Anime/DragonBallZ'' in Episode 5), but she's a much better singer when she's singing calmer and slower-paced songs.

* HollywoodToneDeaf: It's amazing how far off-key Creator/AyaHirano can go when she has to, such as when Konata sang "[[Anime/DragonBallZ Cha-La Head-Cha-La]]" during the credits for one episode.

* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: In terms of personality, Kagami is the [[StraightMan Straight Woman]] responsible sibling to Tsukasa's foolish, being smarter and more responsible.

* ContraltoOfDanger: She [[TheFakeCutie pretends to be a cute, cheerful girl with a high-pitched voice]] for her fans, but as soon as something angers her, she reverts to her borderline psychotic, abusive real self with a husky contralto. This is implied to be an effect of her chain-smoking (yes, at the tender age of ''fourteen''), as in a blink-or-you'll-miss-it moment, she chucks an ashtray full of cigarette butts at Minoru's head.

* HappilyMarried: Although Mr. Narumi is always out of town for work.

* GagBoobs: {{Lampshade}}d as Konata and Minami thought Miyuki, though unable to swim, can at least float ''because'' of her breasts. She even gets a [[AnimalMotifs cow joke]] from Konata at one point and wins a race [[Manga/AzumangaDaioh solely by being able to break the ribbon earlier]].
