* LeftHanging: As with the other final teams in Series 2--4, their quest simply stopped when the series ended, with no resolution. Oddly enough, it stopped at the same room it did in the last season, the Wall of Jericho, even though Karen was never offered the horn to bypass it.

* InsaneTrollLogic: Really screwed up the answers to Cedric's riddles at the start of Level 2 -- in particular, somehow managing to give "leopard" as an answer instead of "armour" when asked what skin saves a warrior's life -- meaning that he didn't provide them with the spell they needed to avoid getting killed a few rooms later.

Even you three here are vulnerable and Christopher is in dire peril for the Helmet of Justice will only delay the effects. What you needed here was the magic shield. shield! But of course, course... you rejected it.

'''Treguard:''' Oh dear... Dear, dear... It seems all I'm going to get out of you lot, is a ''stony'' silence. And as for Christopher, he's certainly no better off.

* EatenAlive: When Mildread turned her cooking pot into a wellway for them to descend to Level 2, she ends up sending them into the monster's stomach. Gretel seemed to know this would happen enough to give them a DOWN spell prior to help them escape into Level 2.

* BornLucky: The YouMakeMeSic debacle wasn't this team's only shortcoming: they did rather poorly on the riddles they came across along the way (answering only 4 out of ''9'' correctly, when teams have failed thanks to being denied a critical clue due to missing a single answer, ) and even took the wrong item to placate Mildread (the potion instead of the bone) but their ultimate downfall came about purely through confusing the name of a spell they'd been given with a different word that had the same meaning and not through being punished for lacking the right items or spells.

* GrammarCorrectionGag: During their encounter with Mogdred, the team kept trying to dispel his SHROUD spell by spelling it as DURHS (Shrud). It wasn't until Treguard -- who was supposed to be paralysed by Mogdred's magic -- managed to groan out "let-ter O!" that they spotted their error.

* InsaneTrollLogic: The team strangely refused to command Granitas when they got a perfect score with him. When encountering the Automatum in the next corridor, they misdescribed his flail. At the level 1 wellway, they tried to outmanuevre him despite it being clear there was no escape. Lastly, they didn't speak up when Gretel accused them of blowing Bumptious up when it happened by accident after they landed on his plunger from descending down the wellway.

* BatmanGambit: After finding themselves without anything to bribe Olaf with, they remembered a trick that Folly had employed earlier in their quest, and persuaded Olaf to take an extremely valuable invisible stone that Julian supposedly had in exchange for safe passage. Furthermore, they descended just as Olaf realised he'd been had!

*InsultBackfire: The team encountered a drunken Gumboil in Level 2 and though they gave him a password, Casper -who they had taken from the clue room prior- inadvertantly renders the password null and void when he trash talks about Gumboil (with Gumboil thinking Steven said what Casper was saying), forcing the team to bribe him with a bar of gold they also took earlier.

* GuideDangIt: The team were never told that they needed to use the gauntlet (which they actually did take, despite not earning the information on its usage) in order to freeze bomb fuses, meaning that when they encountered a bomb room the bomb quickly exploded and killed Martin. That said, Martin ''may'' have survived if he'd just walked out of the room a little quicker.
