Appearing at first glance to be Ryuko's bumbling homeroom teacher, this mysterious man is an agent of Nudist Beach who has infiltrated the school to spy on Satsuki. Aikuro aids and protects Ryuko under the Student Council's radar, providing her with vital information on Senketsu and the Kiryuins, usually in the middle of an inexplicable strip tease.

Pretty much the only difference between the two is that Satsuki is disciplined, stoic, and prefers to [[TheSocialDarwinist rule through superior skill and force]], while Takarada is flamboyant and unrestrained, and is quite upfront with the fact that [[ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney his power is derived from money]].

Ryuko's late father, a scientist who researched the mysteries of Life Fibers and the Kamui. He was recently murdered by a mysterious woman with his own invention, the Rending Scissors, half of which he entrusted to Ryuko before his death.

* ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney: Unlike the other schools that rely on their strength or guile alone, Takarada rules Osaka by using supply and demand to win everyone's favor. Even if Osaka is destroyed in the raid, Takarada is confident that he can pay everyone in town to rebuild it.
* SpearCounterpart: Oddly enough, despite the two of them hating each other's guts, he is not entirely dissimilar to Satsuki herself. They are both the school council presidents of their respective schools. They are both scions of incredibly wealthy families who utilize their absurd amounts of money to achieve their goals (more blatantly in Takarada's case) and are essentially the supreme rulers of their respective cities thanks to their wealth. Both prefer to let their subordinates do the fighting for them, but are perfectly ready to step onto the battlefield personally when push comes to shove. On top of that, Takarada also displays a surprising degree of VillainousValor and defiance that is not unlike Satsuki's own. Even better, [[spoiler:they both have the same end goal - to defeat Kiryuin Ragyo and stop the Life Fiber invasion, and they [[GoodIsNotSoft are not above using unsavory things to achieve said goal]], which makes them appear villainous at first sight]]. Pretty much the only difference between the two is that Satsuki is disciplined, stoic, and prefers to [[TheSocialDarwinist rule through superior skill and force]], while Takarada is flamboyant and unrestrained, and is quite upfront with the fact that [[ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney his power is derived from money]].
* StudentCouncilPresident: Of his own school.
* VillainousValour: His army routs, leaving Takarada alone against not just Sanageyama but all Elite Four and Satsuki herself. He admits to being frightened, but refuses to surrender and fights on by himself, hopeless though it is. When defeated, he still refuses to submit to Satsuki.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: To the point where it's tough to call him a villain at all. He'll use human wave tactics, expend vast amounts of resources, and even ''burn down his own city'' but since it keeps the Osakan economy running and its citizens paid, everyone's totally OK with it. This is especially true considering he was only defending his school and city against an (apparently) unprovoked attack.
