Not only that, but she neither requires a Blueprint nor an Action Report for these, something the developers seem to usually like doing as of late. This remodel also provides two unique Anti-Air Cut-In setups that are permitted with her stock equipment[[labelnote:*]]A late-model dual-purpose 12.7cm and concentrated 25mm autocannon. Both weapons can be used in one setup or the autocannon alone in the other[[/labelnote]]. The reduced equipment requirements allow for more versatility.

* RareRandomDrop: Like Akashi, she cannot be crafted and is only obtainable from event map drops prior to the introduction of World 1-6. While the map itself is comparatively easier than other Extra Operations, the nodes that has her as a possible drop are preceded by a submarine and airstrike node, with the latter gives away D-rank unless if you bring along ships that can bring fighter aircraft, which the destroyer routes discriminate against. Additionally, the aforementioned node only drops her under a specific enemy formation[[labelnote:*]]the one with [[BossInMookClothing Ri-Class Flagship]], same as [[RareRandomDrop Asagumo]][[/labelnote]] and has a chance of not dropping any ships at all even with an S-rank victory on top of her rainbow-rarity. She's also available as a drop at the Map 6-3 boss node as well. However, the boss node is much tougher as it entails [[DavidVsGoliath sending your light fleet fighting against a fleet with battleships and Destroyer Princess.]]

* ThemeNaming: All but Kako, the ''Mogami''-class and the ''Tone''-class[[labelnote:*]]The ''Mogami''-class started from a failed super-light cruiser design. The ''Tone''-class were originally ordered as the 5th and 6th ships of the ''Mogami''-class, and retained the names after being extensively redesigned to counteract former class's flaws. Zara does remodel into normal Heavy Cruiser by classification, even if [[LoopholeAbuse technically she's Aviation Cruiser in all but name]].[[/labelnote]] heavy cruiser that needs it.
