** They are the stark contrast to another cult from the Showa era, the [[Series/KamenRiderBlack Gorgom]]. While the Gorgom is an ApocalypseCult mutant supremacist that existed since ancient times who were sought to find a new Creation King by pitting two of their chosen Century Kings to the death, with the winner crowned their new ruler, the Deadmans is an devil cult splinter faction of NOAH formed in modern times after the former's fall, who seeks to revive their leader Giff through six "Gifftex" which consists of Deadmen that have evolved past Phase 2. Gorgom also had many societal elites as members, while the Deadmans seem to more recruit from social outcasts.

* NebulousEvilOrganisation: An underground cult of nebulously wide scope with mysterious plans revolving around an ancient demon god.

** While she loves Giff, she can't stand seeing other cultists being turned into Gifftarians and dying, begging Orteca to stop even when it's clear he won't.

* BigBadWannabe: Orteca is very dangerous villain who causes a lot of death and suffering, and is the main antagonist for the first half of the series. However, he's far below Giff on the totem pole, and eventually every attempt made to power himself up ends up being shortlived and quickly eclipsed once Demons loses steam. [[spoiler:He ultimately only realizes this as Giff is devouring him.]]

* FreudianExcuse: [[spoiler:The isolation and abuse from his father he suffered during his childhood are alluded to have made him the heartless person he is today.]] Although given what an unrepentant bastard he is, [[FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse it more contextualizes his current personality rather than excuses it]]. It's also implied to be something [[spoiler: [[LikeFatherLikeSon naturally passed down from said father]]]].

* LikeFatherLikeSon: [[spoiler:His father was an abusive bastard to him. Orteca then became an emotionally abusive boss towards his followers, and also WouldHurtAChild. It's implied his sense of superiority over others also came from him as well.]]

* DimensionLord: Giff seems to control his own pocket dimension, and is capable of creating portals from it to speak to Akaishi.

* FlatCharacter: There isn't much more to him than being a BigBad the Kamen Riders have to overcome. This is largely because he spends half of the series in a dormant state and when he does awaken, he doesn't have many meaningful interactions with other characters, as [[spoiler:Akaishi]] does most of the villainous deeds instead.

* KnightTemplar: Believes humans to be naturally violent and chaotic, and that they need to be either ruled over or [[KillAllHumans completely eradicted]] for their to be peace.

* WeCanRuleTogether: [[spoiler:As the Igarashi family shares his genes and are thus his kin, he offers them a place by his side in his planned new world order.]]

* TheManInFrontOfTheMan: Aguilera is nominally his boss and the acting leader of the cult, but it becomes apparent that it's Orteca who directs most of the cult's affairs and Aguilera is just a figurehead whose purpose is to be sacrificed to complete Giff's revival, something Orteca keeps from her until the ritual is ready.

* OverprotectiveDad: Is one to his son Hitoshi, protecting him even as the boy commits crimes like petty theft. When Hitoshi and his friends turn themselves in, Koji has none of it, assaulting the police station where they were.

* DarkChick: She's presented as the BigBad at first, but in fact this is her true role in the Deadmans - a cute idol to rally people behind, while Orteca is ''the real leader'' within the Deadmans cult.

* BladeOnAStick: Its weapon of choice in its level 2 form created by Seiko, created from her own arm.
