After he’s lost his memories, he randomly walks in on Kitami in the middle of offing off a cruel client, but rather than LeaveNoWitnesses, he nurses him back to health and hires him in his SerialKillerKiller business. Kitami and Mimi treat him very kindly and even organize a birthday for him on the anniversary of the day they met. Once he does regain his lost memories, Uruma insists on leaving them out of his RoaringRampageOfRevenge, but Kitami and Mimi immediately refuses to follow on his word while making it perfectly clear they’re with him till the end. Uruma is grateful for this and decides right then and there to change his actual birthday to the one his friends gave him.

** There’s his comical reaction to finding out a potential wealthy client turns out to be a 12 years old boy who lied over who he was. Then he finds out Uruma is out drinking with Mimi, Saki, and Azuma; leaving him shocked that his friend is hanging out with a bunch a beautiful girls while he’s left with a pile of paperwork.

* RasputianDeath: Out of all the bullies, Kuga got easily the most drawn-out and convoluted death. First, he gets ''brutally'' beaten by Uruma during their Judo duel. Second, he gets lowered into barrel full of boiling water and mantis shrimp (''which have a supersonic natural weapon and cut their way into his skin''). Kuga gets saved from this death trap by Anna, and briefly manages to get the upper hand on Uruma before getting beaten again. Uruma then finishs him of by '''hitting his head with a brick until it completely breaks open'''. [[KarmicDeath Kuga deserved every single one of these things]], but you can't say that he went down easy.

* SexForSolace:[[spoiler: After suffering from Madoka’s rape, she eventually goes to a hotel with Uruma and confides with him of her trauma and asks him if he can “overwrite” those memories. In the immediate next panel, they commit the deed. While Uruma is having sex with her in a rather aggressive way, Kaname enjoyed it, as she hugs him, then one hand grips the sheets, as she [[CallingYourOrgasms passionately calls his name.]]]]

* MeaningfulName: His last name, Shigoku, sounds t very similar to "Jigoku", [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast which in Japanese means hell.]]

* BigBrotherInstinct: The bullies made a fatal mistake when Kyou has beaten Kakeru into a coma and mocked his conditions.

* MeaningfulName: His last name, Shigoku, sounds the same as the Japanese word "Jigoku", which means hell.

** And finally, Shoko Asahara: Besides their shared Japanese nationality, both maintained a public front looking like they’re good guys, which won over many followers. Like Manson, both trained their followers into committing murders.

** To Kyou Shigoku: While both boys are of the same age, there is a considerable difference among the two. As Uruma is a murderous and vengeful, yet socially-awkward hero with barely any friends in his life, Kyou is a charismatic and cultured, yet cunning and abusive sociopath and prodigy with a cult dedicated to him. In addition, as Uruma is more than willing to have his hands dirty in order to accomplish his quest for revenge, Kyou would rather follow [[UsefulNotes/CharlesManson Charles Manson’s]] example and have his underlings commit many of the crimes he orchestrated just to see HOW he can become a killer WITHOUT having his hands dirty. Also, while Uruma values human life, Kyou does not have any regard for humanity in its entirety. While Uruma is shown to care for his family and friends, Kyou has little to no regards for the deaths of his family and friends as he would prefer to sit back and see how the events following his murder of Uruma's parents would play out.
** To Anzai Zenichi: While both of them have murdered their bullies in the past, there is some differences among them. As Anzai Zenichi is [[AntiHero set on a redemption arc by trying to prevent Uruma from becoming like him in his past]], Uruma does not want to stop his quest of revenge as he wants to have his bullies killed.

* HeroAntagonist: Heavily downplayed for the majority of the time (with the exception of Chapter 79 as Oota initially thought that Uruma was an innocent boy [which, ironically, he was when he was younger before becoming cold as a teenager]). They even have a genuine friendship as she shares her house with Uruma. However, once she finds out about the ordeal involving Uruma killing Anzai, she temporarily loses her respect towards him and arrests him several chapters later.
Despite this, she doesn't hold any grudges towards Uruma during the [[spoiler: Jun]] arc...

** After seeing [[spoiler: Azuma]] beheaded, she gets so shocked that she calls [[spoiler: Jun]] a bastard for what he did to her.
* HeroAntagonist: Downplayed for the most part until Chapter 79 as Oota initially thought that Uruma was an innocent boy (which, ironically, he was when he was younger before becoming cold as a teenager). They even have a genuine friendship as she shares her house with Uruma. However, once she finds out about the ordeal involving Uruma killing Anzai, she immediately loses all of her respect towards him and arrests him several chapters later.
* NiceGirl: Oota is generally a friendly, kind, and easygoing police officer. Despite her constant attempts to act serious all the time, she generally wants to be helpful towards other people, especially Uruma when his house got burned down by one of Kuga's goons. However, she does end up being less respectful towards Uruma following evidence of Anzai's death...
* TookALevelInJerkass: Downplayed; she's mainly this towards Uruma ever since she arrested him in Chapter 86. Granted, since she holds a grudge against him for what he did to Anzai Zenichi. Little did she know, she also allowed Kyou and his murderous {{Cult}} get away but didn’t care to investigate further into it. Despite this, she's seemingly [[TookALevelInKindness back to being a nice girl once again after the timeskip]] (which is granted since it has been five years since Anzai's death at the hands of Uruma, although she is possibly more arrogant than she used to be).

* CharacterDevelopment: Uruma changes from someone who only cared about avenging himself to someone who cares about the lives of other people, which makes him different from the villains in the series as they only care for no one but themselves. If anything, it shows how compassionate Uruma has become over time. Furthermore, he went from only wanting to avenge the abuse he and his family went through to avenging other people, whether he himself is involved or not.
