* AdaptationalBadass: Unlike Joseph 2, this version of Joseph Joestar managed to develop his stand at the age of 17 which was far sooner compared to older Joseph who developed it towards the later years of his life, and that was only thanks to DIO piercing Jonathan's body with the Stand Arrow. Not only that it's more developed to the point it even has a face now, compared to the original Hermit Purple that remained a strand of thorns.
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: This version of Joseph is much kinder and less abrasive than Joseph 2 was, to the point he acts more like Joseph's son Josuke. Whether it is because he is no longer an only child, raised by a grandma who could only really discipline him with violence, or any other factors was not specified, but the changes are notable. In a universe filled with much more selfish Joestars, a [=JoJo=] like this Joseph stands out in his kindness and willingness to help a stranger to the point of leaving his home country to help her as an assistant. It should also be noted that, as far as the ending of this part reveals, he did not cheat on his wife in this universe.
* AdaptationalWimp: Subverted. Given the nature of the new universe, this version of Hermit Purple isn't augmented with Hamon, unlike his original universe counterpart. That said, Joseph was still able to defeat the Guard Rail Creature without it. It can also conduct electricity, but whether it can do divinations has yet to be seen.

* BirthmarkOfDestiny: He wouldn't be a Joestar without it, as Lucy spotted it during the fight against the Guard Rail Creature.
* CarFu: How he ultimately defeats the Guard Rail Creature. He uses Hermit Purple to turn on the car and ram it into the guard rail, sending it and the creature over the edge.

* GoodOldFisticuffs: Like his Part 2 counterpart, Joseph/Fumi beats the Guard Rail Creature this way, albeit with some help from his Stand.

** When being attacked by the Guard Rail creature, he eventually comes across a pair of Clackers which are similar to the original Joseph Joestar's weaponry, instead of using them he just throws them away and begins using his own Stand to punch the creature.

In this iteration of reality, she married Yoshiteru Kira and her children are Yoshikage Kira and Kei Nijimura.\\\

It's apparent that she's a Stand User, from being able to see Yasuho's Paisley Park, as well as being aware of her son's Stand. However, there have been no clear signs of what it can do, or [[TheGhost what it even looks like]].

* AmbiguousDisorder: Her gradual lack of memory and recognition suggests she has Alzheimer's. The actual cause of it is far complicated than you'd think.
** To start with, [[spoiler:she is a first-born daughter of a branch of the Higashikata family, by way of her ancestor Rina Higashikata. Unlike sons who get symptoms at age 10, daughters begin displaying symptoms of the mysterious stone disease later in life. Yoshikage Kira began noticing her memory loss and other symptoms and presumably excised parts of her brain and other organs that began to turn to stone with his Killer Queen, as she doesn't have any external scarring. For a proper cure, Kira sought out the Locacaca from the Rock Humans, thus spurring the entire plot of ''[=JoJolion=]'' due to the result of the heist.]]

Her other daughter, Kei, is also willing to kill any stranger who even threatens to come near Holly, as seen when she did everything in her power to keep Josuke from meeting her mother.
* HumanNotepad: [[spoiler: For some reason, [[LaterInstallmentWeirdness late in the part]], her illness takes the form of rocks that slowly creep up to her brain and cause her to go into a coma regularly. * MoralityChain: Holly's influence on Kira was the one thing that separated Kira from becoming the remorseless killer from Part 4. During flashbacks to Kira's childhood; Holly was not afraid to be strict with Kira [[spoiler:and even coerced Kira to save the life of a young Josefumi from a blood clot after he nearly drowned]]. While Yoshihiro Kira enabled Kira 4's tendency to murder; Holly on the other hand stopped Kira 8's murderous tendencies completely.

** She takes after her namesake, Holly Kujo from Part 3; besides the names, both are mothers who are afflicted by debilitating health conditions. Part 3 Holly suffered from a Stand that was slowly killing her, while this Holly is a hospital patient with an unknown mental disorder [[spoiler:caused by large parts of her brain being missing, implied to be her son Kira using his Stand on her to save her from a family curse that turns first-born children into stone]]. [[spoiler:Unfortunately, while Part 3 Holly gets a happy ending, as far as we know, this one doesn't]].
** Both Hollys are associated with roses; Part 3 Holly started sprouting rose-covered vines as she was slowly being killed by her own Stand, while this Holly has roses on her jewelry and hat.
** In addition, their bad conditions motivates their sons to find a solution that will help them; Part 3 has Jotaro chase after Dio so he can kill him and get rid of the influence that's making Holly's Stand kill her. Here, Josuke is looking for the Locacaca fruit he believes will cure this Holly of her deteriorating mental state, [[spoiler:a quest that was started with this Holly's son Kira.]]
** Both Hollys love their sons dearly and hold them in high regard, despite their surly and even {{Jerkass}} attitudes. In turn, Jotaro and Part 8 Kira (and Kei, too) will move mountains for them when things get rough.

Phex Brothers; if that's the best it can do, then there aren't many ways she'd be able to fend for herself in most Stand fights.
