** Atticus: Shot in the face by the Conductor (Amelia).

** Amelia: Lost her loved one and was close to suicide before the Train got to her and became unable to let go of this death for thirty years.

* TwoGirlsToATeam: Amelia and Chloe are the only two females of the group.

** Atticus is only "weak" due to the fact that he's a corgi compared to the other bipedal members of the Red Lotus Uprising. But weak is not the same as ''useless'' as he can use his size and agility to weave through most obstacles, he's also great at coordinating the denizens of the Ninjala Car to fight the Mirage Army because he's also a wise ruler and his canine senses of sensitive hearing and smell are capable of picking up things others could usually miss.

* BigFriendlyDog: He's a large canine who truly loves being with Chloe and the rest of the Lotus Uprising.

* FluffyTheTerrible: He's a firebreathing Mirage Houndoom modeled after the original hellhound of Cerberus with black fur and devilish horns. Chloe simply decides to calls him ''Hewie''.

** He ''detests'' Grace for good reason, but admits that not even she deserves abusive and neglectful parents.
** Whatever Augustine called Specter, as the narration mutes it and Lexi himself doesn't like Specter getting closer to Chloe, it's horrifying that Lexi immediately shuts Vaillant up before he repeats it.

* AdaptationExpansion: She never gets to fully move on from Alrich either in the canon series or the original ''Blossomverse''. She gets her own subplot in the Palimpsest Car where she learns to fully move forward with her life.

* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance: In ''Blossoming Trail'', Amelia physically appeared at the beginning of the Cyan Desert Car (taking place halfway into Act 2). Here she joins up in the midsts of the Ninjala Car and joins at the end whereas the Cyan Desert Car in this story will end up being the end of ''Crocus'' Act 1.

* AnIcePerson: One of the items she uses is an Ice Wand.

* BystanderSyndrome: She sat around and did nothing while so many passengers fumbled around in the dark for ''thirty years'' and one of them had the idea to make a cult that hurt denizens. Even when Gladion told her to do something about it, she refused and it nearly ended with the Train's destruction and three members of White Gestalt kicked out. Even while she's with Chloe and her group, she's barely doing anything to fix her mistakes and instead, ''children'' who should be going out and fixing themselves are now fixing her problems.

* DropTheHammer: Carries a electricity summoning croquet-mallet.
* EasilyForgiven: Chloe herself forgives her for everything she's done and, in a broader sense, the fact that she's still working with One-One even ''after'' she usurped him and took over the Train for 30 years means he considers it water under the bridge.

** She brings up twice that she's compared to [[WesternAnimation/TheLastUnicorn Molly Grue]]. A jaded brown haired middle-aged woman who chases after fairy tales and becomes enraged when the one thing she's been searching for (unicorns for Molly, Alrich for Amelia) appear when they're no longer virgin or innocent and have essentially given up hope in never seeing. They also learn to forgive the subject of their grief and move on with their lives.[[note]]''The Last Unicorn'' came to theaters in 1982; Amelia would've been on the Train a few years after going by Book 4 being mid-1980.[[/note]]

** She knows a bit about cyberpunk once Yuri describes it to her, as she mentions watching ''Film/BladeRunner'' with Alrich and reading ''Literature/{{Neuromancer}}'' and commenting that she was a fan of Molly Millions.

** To Grace Monroe, both who are women who ran away due to a lack of love (Grace wanted her neglectful parents to love her, Amelia had to witness her fiance die) and both have made plenty of crimes -- their most prominent one being ''regicide'' with Amelia shooting Atticus and Grace killing Utahoshi. Main difference is that Amelia turned Atticus into a Ghom (but Tulip turned him back to normal) in a bid to get One-One from Tulip and be left alone, while Grace shanked Utahoshi under the "pretense" that she was saving Tokio (when Utahoshi was trying to reach out to Tokio). Amelia is forgiven because she learned that she made mistakes and joins Chloe's team while Grace is derided as a murderer and apathetic monster by everyone. Also Amelia actually worked ''under'' the Conductor while Grace barely acknowledges One-One's existence except "don't believe his lies, I'm the expert".

** Amelia is a foil to Sei. Both lost someone close to them -- Alrich to Amelia and Sei's mother to Sei herself -- and ended up commandeering a Train. Amelia refused to help others or move on with herself, whereas Sei gradually reflects that she needs to start changing herself. Amelia tried to take control of the Train but the Train refused to budge, while Sei decides to act like a ParentalSubstitute to the Third Rail.

* NotSoAboveItAll: She takes the time to sing karaoke with Chloe during the Lumberjacks Car, with one of the songs they sing is [[WesternAnimation/{{Arcane}} Enemy]].

* OnceDoneNeverForgotten: Neither her stint as Conductor or her shooting Atticus will be forgotten anytime soon. More specifically, the fact that she spent thirty years trying to make a car for herself yet never considered ''making instruction books'' for passengers is also brought up. By the time Alighieri brings up the former, [[NeverHeardThatOneBefore she just rolls her eyes]] and gets ''very'' irritated when Atticus brings up the latter in a joking manner (particularly because the Corgi Car does a recreation of Atticus's exploits, and one of them is him being shot in the face).

* AllThereInTheManual: A comment reveals that Hewie's moveset for the story will be Dark Pulse, Flamethrower, Iron Tail and Protect.

* BecauseYouWereNiceToMe: Chloe showing affection, not to mention saving him and the other Mirage Pokémon from Dr. Yung, is what causes Hewie to join her.

* EstablishingCharacterMoment: He comforts a crying Togepi before Chloe approaches him. After a bit of hesitation, he tackles her and gives her some playful licks across the face, showing that despite his dark appearance, he's a sweet and friendly Pokémon. Just before Chloe and Augustine leave for dinner, he bites on Chloe's cloak, showcasing that he's already showing affection for Chloe after just one glance.

* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: He's a black canine with an orange muzzle and stomach and he's a Dark-type. However he's not evil -- not counting the programming on him by Dr. Yung -- and joins with Chloe for her travels across the Train.
* ShoutOut: He's named after the canine companion from ''VideoGame/HauntingGround''.

* FamedInStory: They're quite popular across the Infinity Train, becoming public figures by the time Professor Sycamore arrives.
