In a rare moment of self-awareness, he also admits that it was in the eighties that his star power gave him carte blanche to feel up any woman he liked without public outcry.

* PatrioticFervor: Both Jack and his movies operate through aggressive promotion of America as "THE LAND OF FREEDOM, BITCHES," especially when pitted against "the Reds." As such, he's a bit put-out when the Cold War ends, leaving his usual approach seen as out of touch and backward.
* PhonyVeteran: Seems to genuinely believe that he's a soldier fighting communism instead of an actor, even though he's never seen a day of military service. However, he's not motivated by monetary gain or glory, but makes his claims as a result of his mental illness.
* PleaseWakeUp: As a result of his drug abuse and mental illness, he doesn't always understand death. As such, after accidentally killing Billy Dexter, he spends the next few seconds anxiously pleading with Dexter to get up, only to start screaming for help when he sees that the radio host's "brain is leaking."

* TestosteronePoisoning: Jack is ''insanely'' macho, in keeping with his failure to separate his fictional exploits from his real life. His abuse of steroids only makes things worse, especially once he starts obsessing over the fact that people have supposedly claimed that steroids have shrunk his genitals, driving him to put a gun to Billy Dexter's head and demand that Dexter fondle his balls to prove that they haven't shrunk.

In ''V'', his sex addition has reached critical levels despite his attempts to reinvent himself, leaving him a gibbering apologetic mess that comes across as creepy and embarrassing instead of seductive.

Maurice is in the habit of not only threatening him, but also directs him to a calendar featuring naked photos of Maurice while "[[RagingStiffie blossomiing]]"... and apparently, this bewildering relationship continues for the next ten years, as the caller can be heard on Chatterbox FM in Liberty City, pestering Laslow about tubers and claiming that Maurice lied about making an impossible-sounding hybrid plant.

* CampGay: Combined with RealMenWearPink, as he loves gardening.

* NightmareFetishist: He sounds very interested when one of his callers mentions his works with carnivorous plants, and when the caller confirms that he's been experimenting on feeding people to the plants, Maurice openly congratulates him.

* FunctionalAddict: Quite lucid and intelligent despite regularly waking up after opium binges and spending days coked out of his mind.

* HatedByAll: Implied. His pedophilia becomes so evident in his second broadcast that his show receives no calls for roughly half the program. Later, after he finally gets arrested, a charity website is set up to raise money for his bail... and only raises twenty-three dollars out of a hundred thousand.

* TrashyTrailerHome: Area 53 is broadcast live from Marvin Trill's trailer somewhere in the deserts of Las Venturas, and it's often described as a weird and disturbing place, not least of which because Trill is in the habit of conducting "rituals" with Domestebots. Given that Trill hasn't washed in months, it's best not to imagine how the place smells, either...

* {{Jerkass}}: As a strict conservative, Mary has every chance she gets to belittle her callers who do not follow her views, one being an individual who is heavily into diversity in America and sees himself as a transexual.

* StrawPolitical: Both Peyton and Mary are staunch in their political beliefs and they often go at each others' throats over their contrasting opinions. Their beliefs are so heavily accented to the point that they endorse Communism/Collectivism and Fascism respectively. When acknowledging the fall of the UsefulNotes/BerlinWall, Peyton only bemoaned that it did as he sympathised with Soviet-run East Germany, with Mary feeling indifferent about it since she is obviously on the capitalistic West's side.

* ConspiracyTheorist: Of a different kind from The Truth, who repeatedly phones up to complain about his complicity in government lies. Trill favours pro-government conspiracies that make everyone live in fear of external threats, many of them involving Communist Russia or aliens of some description, and in sharp contrast to The Truth's use of pot, mushrooms, and peyote, Trill prefers to fuel his theorizing with much harder drugs. In many ways, he's a forerunner to Nervous Ron of ''GTA V'', only more spacey and less neurotic.
* DirtyOldMan: Sounds at least as old as The Truth, suggests that a female caller should try to lure in a "cowboy ghost" by standing topless at her window for hours each night, and claims that if he had superpowers, everyone would be naked "and women signing autographs at conventions couldn't resist me!"

* EvilCounterpart: Arguably, to the Truth; both are habitual drug users, wildly eccentric, and obsessed with conspiracies, but while the Truth is trying to undo the organizations behind said conspiracy theories, it's indicated that Trill is at the very least an unknowing pawn of said conspiracies.

* ChurchOfHappyology: He's a follower of the Epsilon Tract and can occasionally be heard interacting with fellow Epsilonists and proclaiming "Kifflom!"

* EveryoneHasStandards: Trill becomes audibly uncomfortable when one caller begins asking him about levelling a house with a helicopter, and when the conversation turns towards garrotting people with electrical cable, Trill just cuts him off entirely.
