* BigEater ** HorrorHunger: The orange light fills its host with constant, ravenous, ''endless'' hunger. When Hal first encountered Larfleeze, Agent Orange was happily devouring a big table of disgusting, rotten food.

* BornIntoSlavery - A small glimpse into his past shown in the Book of Black shows that he was a mining slave as a child. Being forced to compete with the other kids for who gets to eat is implied to have fostered his hatred of sharing.

*** The end of his ongoing, wherein he discovers the Green Lantern [[IdiotHero G'nort]] is his cousin... distantly related by 14 generations thanks to [[LongLived the incredibly long lifespan]] of Larfleeze's species, but still enough of a connection to bring Larfleeze to tears. While still his egotistical self, he shows G'nort almost unbelievably genuine affection and generosity.

He's now a part of the New Guardians, as Larfleeze sent him out to find who's trying to take rings from each corps, including (especially) his own. [[spoiler:Or at least, that's the cover story, as Larfleeze manipulated the group into fighting another of his enemies.]]

[[RunningGag and then re-rescued from him]]. [[UpToEleven Larfleeze immediately goes on a mission to rescue him back.]] ** ServileSnarker ** WeWantOurJerkBack: Despite his distaste for Larfleeze, he finds serving the orange lantern far preferable to the Gods of T'uath Dan. He fondly compares Larfleeze to a hemorrhoid he has grown so used to that it feels too strange to be without that familiar pain in the ass.

minor edit, added pragmatic villainy about Blume
** EvenEvilHasStandards: [[spoiler: Gave back one planet's entire infant population when its people revealed they do not have any valuables except for their own children. Although he wasn't doing it to be nice. Blume just felt that the babies had no material value.]]

* ShrugOfGod: Many fans have been asking when the Orange Lantern oath would be revealed. The response was basically "soon" (back in 2010). It's actually taken so long it was made fun of by Lex in ''Action Comics''. It hasn't stopped fans from inventing their own versions and attempting to pass them off as official on Wikipedia. ** Larfleeze's oath is finally mentioned in ''ComicBook/WrathOfTheFirstLantern''. It's as [[{{Greed}} silly]] as anyone would think.

* BadassDecay: Initially introduced as a universe-level threat who could probably best the Guardians of the Universe on his own, BlackestNight turned him into LaughablyEvil comic relief who regularly needed [[EnemyMine help from his enemy corps]] just to survive. While the opening arc to New Guardians attempted to revert this, he's still pretty much just a joke character.

** BadAssDecay: Prior to BlackestNight, Stargrave was one of the bigger villains the LegionOfSuperHeroes ever fought, easily capable of fighting off the Legion at its full might unless they planned ahead. Afterward, well, he's Larfleeze's butler -- and not even a BattleButler.

* OddlySmallOrganization: Agent Orange is the first, last, and only true member of the Orange Lanterns; all other members are orange light constructs. And SelfDemonstrating/LexLuthor was deputized that one time, but that ''really'' didn't go well. Justified as the orange light embodies extreme greed, so of course the lantern-holder wouldn't want to share the power with anyone else.
