However, no official romance occurred between the two throughout the game.

His refusal to be an accomplice caused Azad to attempt to kill him, which ended in Ash dealing a lethal counter-attack on Azad. Since then, Ash had never smiled... until Lisa Stanley came around]].

This was likely due to the fact that Sniper as a job class didn't exist in ''2''.

He was stationed at the OCUMDF Rimian Base when the Second Alordesh Coup D'etat broke out. Caught in an unexpected war, Ash sought to leave the country with his fellow Muddy Otters.
