* EvenTheLovingHeroHasHatedOnes: Whilst she's friendly towards every pony and tries to help even unpleasant ponies improve their lives, her interaction Stone Heart in ''Twilight in Therapy'' shows she's lost all her patience for dealing with him and very much dislikes him for being a {{Jerkass}} that refuses to change his bad attitude and for writing self-help books that discourage friendship.

** In ''Twilight in Therapy'' he even claims that he contributes more to the community than Twilight does. Twilight is a princess who has helped numerous ponies, saved Equestria on multiple occasions and united the other races. Meanwhile, Stone Heart is a trash picker and self-help book author who encourages ponies to be selfish like himself.

* TheBusCameBack: This version of Stone Heart makes a brief return in ''Twilight in Therapy''

* TheBadGuyWins: Near the end of the ''Write in the Head'', he uses the magical typewriter to reverse time and erases everyone's memories of the nightmares he had given them, allowing him to escape any punishment he would have faced. He keeps the magical typewriter so he can use it if anyone gets suspicious of him and he's also able to use it to supply himself with an endless amount of money. Also, his bully gets humiliated and sentenced to community service and his parents lose all their money in Las Pegasus, forcing them to move into a poor house.

** The story insists that he doesn't want to destroy the universe, but is being forced to do it by the Dark Prognostics. However, he's shown to deliberately commit villainous acts [[EvilIsPetty just to be petty]] ([[spoiler:destroying Tamaran just to spite Starfire for being in a happy relationship with Robin]]) or just ForTheEvulz ([[spoiler:ripping off Flurry Heart's head just because he can]]) all whilst laughing unstably and revelling in the destruction he causes. He's only shown regretting that he isn't in a happy relationship with Terra like he originally wanted. Overall, it gives the impression that he'd still destroy the universe, even if he wasn't cursed.

* DevilsAdvocate: He takes the side of all of the problem ponies that Twilight tells him about and insists that they were right in their actions and that Twilight was wrong to try help them improve their miserable lives.

** When Twilight insist she doesn't need therapy, Cy gives a speech about how she should be willing to want to get help for her problems rather than being in denial. Later on, he doesn't see anything wrong with the problem ponies refusing to accept Twilight's help to improve their lives.
** When talking about Stone Heart, Twilight tells him to not justify behaviour and Cy says that he won't. He then proceeds to continue justifying not only Stone Heart's behaviour, but also the behaviour of all the other problem ponies that Twilight told him about.
* RememberTheNewGuy: He was Princess Celestia's own therapist and the two have been close friends for years. His therapy advice was also what inspired Celestia to take on Twilight as her personal student. This story first time Twilight and the reader ever hears of him.
* TranquilFury: Whilst he never shouts or scolds Twilight when she gets agitated by him, there are moments she feels that he means too.

* TheBadGuyWins: Whilst the Star Sisters don't succeed in their plan of killing Twilight and Spike, both of them escape and Starlight notes that even if they found them, the two can't be prosecuted for their crimes as they were committed outside of Equestria's borders. Meanwhile, both Twilight and Spike have been traumatized by their actions and now live in constant fear that the two will return for them.
* HonorBeforeReason: They give Twilight Big Bill's pay check for the hotel because they feel ashamed of having to sell their families business, even though the two are now both have no job and would need the money.
* NeverMyFault: The two both blame for their hotel being run into the ground and their lives being ruined, but really they were far more responsible for that.

** When the twins do sell the hotel, they lash out at Twilight because her ideas are what caused it fail. This despite the fact that they both knew what Twilight's ideas were before she implemented them and they both agreed to them despite their own misgivings about them.
** Finally, they blame Twilight for wrecking their lives which lead to them having to become bandits. They actually received a large check from Big Bill when he bought their hotel which they could've used to rebuild or find new jobs, but they rejected it out of pride. They also moved out of Equestria just because they hated Twilight and ended up in the desert by Klugetown.
