* VocalDissonance: A strange example in the English version. Asugi's voice actor, Creator/GideonEmery, is the same actor who portrayed Gaius in VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening. However, Emery's voice for Asugi is noticeably a few octaves higher than Gaius' voice, while the other actors reprising their roles or playing the [[SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute substitute]] children sound very similar to their original performances.

[[GenerationXerox With mostly the same group dynamics.]] On the surface they also look like a collective DistaffCounterpart to their fathers, except for Forrest's actual gender.

* ShoutOut: In his B support with Kiragi, Forrest is attacked by "a horde of insane, bloodthirsty chickens" who seemingly came out of nowhere. Kiragi is quick to point out however, that this likely happened because [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZelda Forrest smacked one of the chickens around a few times first.]]

* TakeUpMySword: His support line with Leo centers around him one day inheriting Leo's legendary weapon, the Brynhildr tome, though Forrest has misgivings as to whether he can handle or is worthy of such power. Taken UpToEleven in the localization, in which Asugi's voice is considerably higher-pitched and goofier than Gaius's.

** Can be taken UpToEleven in the Japanese version, if the player marry the two brothers to Hinoka and Sakura, then hook him and Midori up with each other for some double cousin loving.

* IWillFindYou: What she says she'd been doing for her entire life ever since she met Corrin when she was a little girl. * SchrodingersPlayerCharacter: Kana will always be the gender opposite the Avatar's, meaning that you can only have one of them. * SiblingTeam: Any of the kids can form a team with their brothers Kana or Shigure using the Pair Up mechanic, as long as their mother is a female Avatar or Azura, respectively.

* WarriorPrince: Both Kanas, Shigure, Siegbert, Shiro, Forrest, and Kiragi are this by default, but any of the other kids can possibly be the child of the Avatar, Azura, Camilla, Hinoka, Elise, or Sakura, naturally making them this. The child of the Avatar, whose gender is always the opposite of their parent. Though they are cheerful, obedient, and energetic, they are actually a quite lonely person who (especially in the case with Female Kana) cries often. They enjoy the fact that they're dragons. * HalfHumanHybrid: Depending on who the Avatar marries, they can also be part [[HeinzHybrid Kitsune or Wolfskin]], along with having the ability to turn into a dragon. They're technically already one by default, seeing as the Avatar is half-human, half-dragon.

** Male Kana is almost always referred to as "dragonspawn" by Rhajat. Additionally, the female Avatar calls him "Kana-bean" and if Izana is his father, Izana calls him "Squishbubble" among others.

* NiceGuy: Female Kana is a bit more immature about it than Male Kana, but nonetheless both are as kindhearted as the Avatar.

* PermanentlyMissableContent: Won't be born if you pair a male Avatar with Niles or female Avatar with Rhajat.

* PointyEars: They inherit pointed ears from the Avatar, which serves as an indicator that they're part dragon like their parent.

** The ''Hoshidan Festival of Bonds'' DLC shows they almost always inherit a personality trait or ability from their non-Avatar parent. For example, if Azura is female Kana's mother, she can sing just like her, and if Takumi is Male Kana's father, he shares his insecurity issues.

* SuperpowerfulGenetics: By default Kana has access to all the draconic abilities the Avatar has. However, they also inherit a permanent weakness to dragon slaying weapons.[[spoiler:Like the Avatar all this is inherited from their grandfather, the Dragon God Anankos.]] Kana could potentially inherit the Mark of Naga if you have the Female Avatar marry Odin or if you have the Male Avatar marry Ophelia.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Of Morgan in ''Awakening''. They are the children of the Avatars of their respective games. The girl is peppy and emotional, while the boy is more relaxed and thoughtful.
* TakeUpMySword: In the ''Heirs of Fate'' DLC, they end up wielding the Avatar's Yato.

** In their Paralogue, their dragon powers awaken after seeing the Avatar (their father or mother) being attacked by enemies.

And he will always have his mother's hair color, regardless of his father (unlike Kana, who will always get the hair color of their non-Avatar parent, even if male). This is much more prominent in ''Heirs of Fate''. Interestingly, he shares his [[Creator/MatthewMercer English voice actor]] with Lucina's father.

* LoveAtFirstSight: Should he S-rank the Female Avatar, he reveals this was the case when he first met her when in her Private Quarters.

** His supports with his father reveal that Jakob's abrasive personality and rudeness is genetic, as Dwyer is ''incredibly'' rude to his father (though it likely wasn't helped by Jakob belittling Dwyer's coffee-making). Additionally, like Jakob, Dwyer does not like being ''told'' he's [[NiceGuy actually nice]], and random conversation in your My Castle reveals that if Jakob isn't helping the Avatar he's most likely napping.

* GameplayAndStorySegregation: Despite the fact that her personal skill implies she's BornLucky, Midori also inherits Kaze's negative luck modifier. Much like Percy, the only way for Midori to have a positive luck modifier is to be the daughter of an Avatar with Luck as her boon.

''However'', it's also [[NonIndicativeName impossible for her hair to be fully green]] unless her mother is a green-haired[[note]]Colors #5, #15, & #25[[/note]] female Avatar; the closest possibilities are Beruka and Setsuna, whose hairs are light and dark aqua, respectively.

* NotTheIntendedUse: While Midori's personal skill, Lucky Charm, is meant for skills such as Salvage Blow, Profiteer, and Good Fortune, players have noted that it also stacks with the skills Hoshidan Unity [[note]]All skill activation rates are increased by 10%[[/note]] and Quixotic [[note]]Skill activation rates increased by 15%[[/note]]. Since Midori is able to inherit the Hoshido Noble class if the female Avatar is her mother, she can also access the Dragon Ward skill [[note]]Allies adjacent to the user have a (Luck x 0.5)% chance of receiving half damage from enemy attacks[[/note]] and the said Hoshidan Unity skill. This had made players to make her more of a support unit instead with a combination of Dragon Ward, Quixotic, and Hoshidan Unity. * PermanentlyMissableContent: Unlike the other children, this can happen ''even if her father gets married''. [[spoiler:In ''Birthright'', Kaze has to survive chapter 15 by reaching A rank with the Avatar. The paralogue will unlock immediately afterwards if he's married]] so if this condition is not met, Midori's paralogue will ''never'' unlock, even if she's almost certainly already been born. This was necessary to prevent inconsistencies in her supports.

* BattleCouple: Can marry the Female Avatar and any of the second generation Hoshido females, as well as second generation Nohr characters Nina and Ophelia in ''Revelation''.

* {{Foil}}: To Siegbert as the sons of Ryoma and Xander, the Avatar's two older brothers. While Siegbert grew up fully aware of his royal status and idolizes Xander to a fault, Shiro was left in the dark about his heritage and hates Ryoma for his absence during Shiro's childhood.

* TheSocialDarwinist: His supports with the Male Avatar reveal he thinks along these lines. In his opinion, the strongest should become king, not whoever is next in line, because inheriting a throne doesn't mean you're suited to rule. In a manner, he's kind of correct.

** Like many of the children, Shiro shares traits with characters from ''[[VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening Awakening]]'', unlike the other ones, he appears to be a CompositeCharacter of Vaike and Owain. He has both of their easygoing personalities, HotBlooded nature, and like Vaike, has a rivalry with the main Lord of his kingdom (in his case, his father). Bonus points in that he can potentially have blond hair (from Elise, Hana or a blonde Female Avatar) to drive this further.
** He also resembles [[VideoGame/FireEmblemPathOfRadiance Ike]] a bit in both appearance and personality. Additionally, should his mother be Oboro, Azura, Setsuna, or a blue-haired Female Avatar he'll also have the Lordly blue hair color endemic to ''Fire Emblem''. The resemblance to Ike is greater if a blue-haired Shiro reclasses to Vanguard.

** Can marry the Female Avatar and any of the second generation Hoshido females, as well as Velouria in ''Revelation''.
** In the Japanese version, he could also marry Soleil. They're more of PlatonicLifePartners in the localization since her supports with guys (save for Forrest and the Male Avatar) were toned down.

* BloodKnight: Takes an almost sadistic pleasure in fighting enemy armies, which leans into borderline CreepyChild levels. In fact, his primary motivation for joining the Avatar's army is that he found the constant battling his father does "fun". Can be seen as a [[SharedFamilyQuirks Shared Family Quirk]] if his mother is Camilla.

* TheEmpath: His superb archery skills are backed up by his sixth sense that lets him sense people's auras, though this is only brought up in very few Support conversations, especially the Male Avatar.

* JumpedAtTheCall: Decides to join the Avatar's army because he finds what his dad does for a living "fun".

* ThePollyanna: He could give the Avatar a run for their money in terms of being upbeat. In fact, he's arguably ''more chipper'' than them, since their reaction to being surrounded is to grimly get ready; Kiragi's is to chirp that it's time for target practice.

** Can marry the Female Avatar and any of the second generation Hoshido females, as well as Nina in ''Revelation''.

** In his C Support with the Female Avatar, he mentions he was thinking about calling them "Bubbles" instead of "Boss", a reference to what Gaius would call the Avatar in ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening''.

** His support with the Male Avatar also shows that he's a fantastic baker, able to replicate several recipes just from ''eating'' the desserts.

* TheNicknamer: In the localized version, similarly to his ''Awakening'' counterpart, Asugi gives nicknames to other characters, which often describe their personalities or is out of sarcasm. To him the Avatar is "[[TheLeader Boss]]", female Kana is "[[OurDragonsAreDifferent Little Miss Dragon]]", Dwyer is [[HeavySleeper "Naps"]], Sophie is [[TheKlutz "Fumbles"]], Midori is "[[TheMedic Doc]]", Hisame is "[[WiseBeyondTheirYears Gramps]]", Mitama is "[[ExoticEyeDesigns Star]]", Rhajat is "[[IronicNickname Sunshine]]", and Ignatius is "[[CowardlyLion Fraidycat]]".

* ReincarnationRomance: It's easier to miss compared to Rhajat and Caledori's implications, but in his S-support with the Avatar she thinks it's a start to a beautiful life together. Asugi's response is "This life and the next one, too."

* SweetTooth: Asugi loves candy and sweets. He even makes his own. His confession scene is this in spades, professing his love for the Avatar before gushing about making "the biggest cake ever".

* BattleCouple: Can marry the Female Avatar and any of the second generation Hoshido females, as well as second generation Nohr characters Velouria and Ophelia in ''Revelation''.

* NotSoDifferentRemark: The male Avatar points out that Hisame's not completely different from his father, as they both have issues with women.
