* StoneWall: Aside from good Defense, Bors has a shockingly high speed growth for a knight at 40%, so unlike most other members of his class in this game he will be actually capable of prevent being doubled by most other units. His strength growth on the other hand is uncharacteristically awful, to the point of being on par with the likes of [[FragileSpeedster Shanna and Sue]].

* GlacierWaif: A defense stat of a measly 5%, but a ridiculous resistance stat to compensate for it.

* BoringButPractical: While Lilina has ridiculously high Magic and support bonuses to take advantage of, Lugh compensates with better availability and higher averages in HP and skill.

* JackOfAllStats: Trades Ellen's ridiculous resistance stats for a defense stat that actually exists.

* MightyGlacier[=/=]StoneWall: Has the best HP growth (a guaranteed 100%) aside from the resident [[CuteMonsterGirl Manakete]] and tied with Lot for the best Defense growth, and has a pretty good Strength growth as well along with the highest constitution of all recruitable units (and the ability to use the Devil Axe unburdened), but his other stats are atrocious, especially his resistance base of 0 and a mere 2% growth.

* CrutchCharacter: A level 20 Bishop with only "meh" stats to back up a maximized resistance stat that will end up useless in the endgame. He basically just exists to use Aureola if Saul and Ellen don't have the requisite light magic stat to do so.

* SinisterMinister: [[BewareTheNiceOnes Saul]] calls him out on it, if you make the former strong enough to face the latter.

* MightyGlacier: Somewhere between this and LightningBruiser. Her bases are more inclined towards the former, but her good speed growth pushes her towards the latter. Her final speed hampers her a bit, but she still out-speeds most enemies.

* MightyGlacier: Her class and base stats leans on this side; however, her growth is more on a FragileSpeedster side. With Hard Mode Bonus, she is a LightningBruiser, held back only by the painfully lacking speed cap of Wyvern Lords.

* OverratedAndUnderleveled: Her stats are rather low considering her role in her country's army. It also doesn't help that she's first usable in a ''desert chapter''.

* MagikarpPower: Okay, not as severe as Sophia, but he starts out at a low-level unit pretty late in the game, though does compensate by having about the same bases as Miledy minus a couple points in speed but with two more in strength and an extra point in constitution.

* FauxActionGirl: A level 9 prepromoted Falcoknight with no weapons and amazingly bad stats and growths, her only claim is her extra point of constitution, which ironically hurts her even more, since Peg Knights are mostly used for their rescue utility.

* NamesTheSame: We apologize in advance for having you find out that [[VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening your son/daughter]] is associated with such a throwaway boss.

** CharacterSelectForcing: Binding Blade' hard mode pretty much force you to use him. Thankfully, his base stats are just enough to weaken, but not kill the pirates.

* ScrewTheRulesImDoingWhatsRight: Defies the King (or rather, his self-serving advisers) to save Ostia from being reconquered by Brern. Later, she chooses to defend the people of Etruria rather than capitulate to the king's hostage-takers.

* LastGirlWins: She is the last character encountered who can marry Roy via supports. [[spoiler: Given her half-draconic nature, such a relationship would be a MayflyDecemberRomance.]]

* ArcVillain: Leygance is the most notable traitor to the Lycian Alliance, having [[spoiler: effectively usurped the Ostian army after Hector's death and sold it to Bern]]. Only with his defeat can Roy stabilize Lycia and actually mobilize outside of the region.

After being a rather mediocre unit for the majority of the game, gaining the titular [[EleventhHourSuperpower Binding Blade]] gives him some outstanding growths right off the bat. The downside of this is that you’re given a very narrow window of time to make him rack up on experience ([[spoiler:if you’re not aiming for the GoldenEnding, he gets all of “one” chapter to level up sufficiently, but if you do aim for it he gets about three, which is still a criminally low time]]). * ATeamFiring: Very strong, very durable, access to the +30 crit rate of Berserkers, and possesses enough constitution to use the Brave Axe unencumbered to couple with his above-par speed. All offset by his terrible skill and the overall poor accuracy of axes in this game.
