Now, look at how Lancelot's backstory is essentially 1) he's quite pure, skilled yet too naive for his own good; 2) he prioritized romantic love for his queen[[note]]Guinevere and Padme Amidala, respectively[[/note]] over and above his oaths as a knight; 3) he is forced to betray his comrades with his own weapon[[note]]Arondight for Lancelot and his Jedi lightsaber for Anakin[[/note]]; 4) he becomes subjected to EvilMakesYouUgly afterwards[[note]]Vader's iconic armor was due to getting maimed and burned, while Lancelot is visibly gaunt, exhausted and catatonic underneath his helmet[[/note]]; 5) he virtually lives in the DespairEventHorizon after losing everything he fought for and the women he loved[[note]]just like Vader circa his BigNo at the climax of ''RevengeOfTheSith''[[/note]]; 6) he, like Vader, develops [[VaderBreath a distorted and disturbing voice while underneath his helmet]]; and 7) he only reverts back to his older self when defeated by the main swordsman of his story[[note]]Saber/Arturia and Luke Skywalker, respectively[[/note]], [[DeathEqualsRedemption immediately dying afterwards]].]]

* ArtisticLicenseHistory: His "victory without humiliation" ideology is utterly false in the face of the real Alexander's actions, which involved the enslavement of hundreds of thousands and the rape of many more to keep his campaign's drive going. In the Nasuverse his arrival in Babylon is treated more like a party than a conquest, with parades filling the streets, confetti shooting around, and crowds of people cheering. While he may admire sharks and other predators, he has never once desired to be one himself, because as far as he's concerned the most skillful hunter of humans is another human.
