* HerBoyfriendsJacket: She takes a shirt of Shirou's to mend it, but he later finds her cuddling it in her room. This example of the trope doesn't indicate that they've become a couple (that happened months ago, in the previous game), but it shows that they're becoming more comfortable with each other.

* CatSmile: His child form does this quite alot.

* BrainsAndBrawn: Sella is an excellent spellcaster and magic teacher, but her body is rather frail. Leysritt is as physically strong as Rider, but her thought processes and speech patterns are close to those of a child yet possessing enough HiddenDepths and emotional range make it difficult to qualify her as dumb.

* YoungerThanTheyLook: Very mature looking, for two year olds.

* AscendedExtra: They make two appearances throughout ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'': one in the actual game, one in [[HaveANiceDeath Tiger Dojo]]. They also have more appearances and speaking parts in the [[Anime/FateStayNightUnlimitedBladeWorks anime adaptation]] of the ''Unlimited Blade Works'' route, and all three even got featured in the visuals of the first ending theme, though they also quickly disappear right as the story's main plot kicked in and it's not until the ending of the series that they briefly show up again. They have quite a few scenes in ''Hollow Ataraxia'', though and are the main characters of the spin-off manga, ''Fate/School Life'' and the ''VideoGame/FateGrandOrder'' special crossover with it.

* DoWrongRight: Kaede dislikes Shirou on principle to SitcomArchNemesis levels. However, when she and her friends [[EntertaininglyWrong thought that he could be]] [[MistakenForCheating two-timing Tohsaka and Mitsuzuri]], she's more impressed than appalled. After all, cheating on Homurahara's SchoolIdol idol with her closest second sure takes balls and suave-ness that Kaede sure never thought Shirou had in him.
* DrillSergeantNasty: Kaede is definitely one of these towards the Track team she's training for regional's, commanding one freshman to knock another over since he was lagging behind while running laps.

* LockedOutOfTheLoop: So much it's the plot of the sidestory "Love Detective Himuro", in which the three of them try to figure out the complicated relationship among all main characters.

* ShamelessFanserviceGirl: Himuro repeatedly holds Minori's arm against her considerable bosom simply because it's the most efficient way to keep the taller, stronger but shy guy from running away. Not even her own narration puts too emphasis on this.
* ShipperOnDeck: Himuro and Saegusa quickly assumed Shirou and Rin were an item from the get go after seeing them together frequently. Makidera on the other hand, absolutely ''[[ShippingTorpedo vetoes]]'' the pairing due to her disliking the mere idea that Rin would date someone as ordinary as Shirou of all people.

** All three of them have a very obvious attraction to Archer as soon as they see him. He then proceeds to act like a huge dork, trying to lecture them on why he shouldn't be called a "hero of justice". Not that they care (neither does the kitten, for that matter!). Considering who [[IHatePastMe Archer]] is, it is actually pretty funny.

* DidntThinkThisThrough: Perseus thought that the quest to kill Gorgon was a simple task that would give him fame and save his mother's life, especially since he had five different gifts from the gods. The problem being that at that point, Medusa had become ''[[EldritchAbomination much more monstrous]]'' than she was originally, with Perseus only succeeding on killing her by sending her Breaker Gorgon at her.

* IdenticalStranger: He looks like a grown-up, dark-skinned, blonde Shinji. Rider herself mocks Perseus by calling him "successful Shinji" due to his FakeUltimateHero status who was still able to kill her.
