!!Raxtus
A runt dragon who lives in Wyrmroost, Raxtus is a child of Celebrant the Just, the current ruler of the dragons, and forms a close friendship with Kendra.
----
* FairyDragons: He's a runt dragon whose egg was the sole survivor of a clutch attacked by a cockatrice, and who was thereafter raised by fairies. He looks almost exactly like his father -- i.e., a typical Western dragon with silver scales -- but about the size of a small horse. He refers to himself as a fairy dragon, and has a BreathWeapon that heals rather than harm like most dragons' do. He can take a humanoid form like all dragons can, but his resembles a larger-than-usual, albeit still short, male fairy -- something he's profoundly self-conscious about.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: He looks almost exactly like his father, just at a fraction of his size.
* TheUnfavorite: His diminutive size, lack of aggressiveness and lack of combat prowess mean that he's far and away Celebrant's least favorite child, something that's not kept especially hidden.

* TooDumbToLive: In the first book.
* WhatAnIdiot:
** About five minutes after learning the the woods are stocked with dangerous creatures that CAN and WILL kill him, he decides to go off exploring the woods without any sort of backup other than a mirror and some small fireworks (which he truly believes he will be able to use to convince powerful magical creatures he is a wizard). If Kendra hadn't stopped him, he would almost certainly have died. But wait, it gets worse! After having an up close and personal experience with magic and gaining a personal knowledge of ''what it can do'' and after having been warned several times by experienced elders of what the dangers are of not being protected and of what to expect during Midsummer's Night, he [[WhatCouldPossiblyGoWrong still decides to go look out the window and open it]].
** Seth, the plaque said "DO NOT FEED THE FROG". There wasn't really room for interpretation. It was even in all caps. You know magic exists. [[GenreBlind Did you really think nothing bad was going to happen?]]
