* PowerParasite: Stole his power from the Frigid Father, leaving him nothing more than a barely living skull
* AnIcePerson: His whole thing, being an Ice God. Tends to Freeze people solid or impale them with Spikes of Ice

A Old god Dwelling in the Everforest. Normally appears as a Deer, but assumes its monstrous true form when challenged

* AnimalisticAbomination: Its a vaguely humanoid monster covered in bloodstained fur with a deer's skull for a head
* BaitAndSwitch: Gets taken out by the Warden of Purity when he attempts to enter his second phase
* TheBrute: Outside of some minor plant manipulation, the Deer god mostly attacks through brute force
* {{Wendigo}}: A pretty clear modern wendigo, being a bestial monster with a deer's skull for a head. It lacks any connection to cannibalism or greed though, and instead acts as a primal god of the Wild.

An Old god born from the fusion of a dead gods essence with an unfortunate mortal.

* CameBackWrong: Araynel's resurrection via possessing a mortal didn't end well for either party. Currently the resulting abomination is floating in the middle of a hellish pocket dimension
* DarkIsEvil: Uses the power of Darkness and Nightmares, and is currently distorting reality while butchering anything that comes near it
* DefeatEqualsExplosion: Its clones inflate like balloons before exploding when it detonates them. When it dies the same happens to it
* ThisWasHisTrueForm: After killing it the singularity collapses and you get to see the Gods true form: A human skeleton riddled with purple crystals

The First old god to descend upon the world to help mankind, and the closest to the moon that created the gods. Her descent into Tyranny took the longest of the old gods

* TheParagon: Was the kindest and Wisest of the Old Gods. At least until Eksyll got his claws into her head
* GodOfTheMoon: Its in Her name. Interesting variation in that the moon in the World of Eldest Souls shattered into debris to cause the birth of Mankind and the gods. Thus she is the only one with knowledge of what the moon looked like before
* FallenHero: After Eksyll corrupted her she became just as cruel as vile as her brethren, and after the Second Crusade accidentally released her while storming the Citadel, [[KillItWithFire she incinerated them by the dozens]]

The main antagonist, a Rogue god who corrupted his brethren, and experimented on them to create the watchers after they were imprisoned in the first crusade.

* AllYourPowersCombined: Steals the Essence of the fallen gods from the Crusader, gaining their abilities. It doesn't do him much good when the Crusader proceeds to kill him anyway.
* AnimalisticAbomination: A massive humanoid Raven with a blood red third eye. It gets weirder in his final form, where his head splits into three conjoined Raven heads.
* CreepyCrows: Averted, as his longer beak identifies him as a raven.
* DarkIsEvil: Associated with Darkness and corruption, and is a vile Tyrant who corrupted and enslaved his own kin
* DealWithTheDevil: Made several with [[TheDragon Zylad]] And [[TheCaligula King Otto of Mercia]]. It didn't work out well for either of them
* FinalBoss: He's the final God that has to be killed to finish the game.
* IHaveManyNames: The Princeps, The Imperator, the Creator. Eksyll Loves his titles, whether or not they're deserved is irrelevant.
* LargeAndInCharge: By far the largest Old One, and the de facto leader, though its never confirmed if the others consider him that.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Spends the entire game plotting in the temple of Ascension, only taking action once all his brethren are dead.

* VillainousBreakdown: Undergoes one in the final phase of the fight, resorting to desperately trying to drain the life out of the Crusader. This does not end well for him.

An Ancient being Predating the gods. Sealed away in a chasm for millennia, but finally breaking free.

* AdvertisedExtra: Features heavily in the marketing and art, but never actually appears in the game proper, only in one of the endings.
* DarkIsEvil: A massive eldritch god that consumes the essence of the gods when it rises, but other than that we don't know much about its motives.
* TheDreaded: Edd actively warns you to stay away from its followers, and considers its awakening to be the worst case scenario.
* EldritchAbomination: Its an Ancient being, sealed below the world untold eons ago, who appears as a giant tentacled eye. Its motivations are unknown, but they're probably not going to end well for anyone.
* GreaterScopeVillain: Eksyll's experiments on it created the Desolation, and Edd seems to regard its release as [[EndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt the Worst Case Scenerio]]. However, upon its release its only stated action was to consume the old gods, so it remains vague
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: The Heavy focus on it in the promotional makes it seem as if it was meant to be a boss, perhaps even the final one. In the end, likely due to budget and time, it was relegated to a character only appearing in the endings.
