* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Grandpapi is typically not well liked among the other villains of Miracle City, partly because his son (and often his grandson) are the biggest thorns in their side, partly because he'll often fight against them ''with'' his family if the need arises, and partly because he just keeps beating them at things. If given the chance, the other villains are all too happy to run him out of town alongside Manny and Rodolfo.

* MagnificentBastard: Regarded as this InUniverse given that none of the villains suspected him as the tournament's mastermind nor thought of its true intention to exterminate them, not to mention the plan would have worked perfectly if either El Tigre accepted Django's offer or if Django had quickly disposed of El Tigre and the Riveras then and there.

* SuperpoweredEvilSide: Maria is by all accounts a genuinely good person with a strong moral compass making her resistant to most evils. While under the influence of the mystical glove of power that turns her into Plata Peligrosa it drives her moral compass to such extremes and feeds a buried desire for violence turning her into a brutal KnightTemplar who not only beats up everyone she deems evil but actively creates conflicts to assure there are more people to beat up. Give the right line of logic to excuse it she'll turn on anyone, herself included.
* WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity: The glove that makes her Plata Peligrosa makes her ''extremely'' powerful. Unfortunately it also drives her crazy, enough that it made her willing to hurt Manny for trying to talk her down.

* SuperpoweredEvilSide: While "evil" may be stretching it, Plata Peligrosa is fueled not just by the glove but by Maria's buried desire for violently dealing with enemies and is incredibly powerful to match.

* BadIsGoodAndGoodIsBad: As a CardCarryingVillain, his sense of morality is rather twisted. When he finds out that Manny and Frida stole his mech suit and that Rodolfo and Maria were secretly plotting against him, he pulls them into a group hug, happy that he got to see them all doing evil at once. Conversely, when he's given credit for heroic acts (really done by Manny and Frida with his suit) and people start cheering for him, he's so ashamed that he decides he has no choice but to leave Miracle City.

* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: When Manny was only three, Rodolfo went to battle the infamous El Mal Verde whom had killed and eaten all other heroes before him. When it was obvious that Rodolfo was going to meet the same fate, he decided to escape so that he would not leave his Maria and Manny behind. Manny [[BrokenPedestal initially took it as cowardice]] [[RebuiltPedestal until he realized that it was because his dad did not want to leave his family behind.]]

* PairTheSpares: WordOfGod said that had the show continued [[spoiler: Django would get with Zoe at first just to get back at Manny and Frida but the two would eventually come to love each other genuinely.]]

This happened at least twice with Dr. Chipotle Jr. (the whole Raul incident and the Father's Day double crossing) as well with others such as Black Cuervo during their first meeting, Lady Gobbler during "Eye Caramba!", the League of Alliance Society during their search for the dragon worm, and Django during Sartana's tournament.
