* ReligiousBruiser: Mark's upbringing is Reform Jewish on his father’s side and Sunni Muslim on his mother's side; but due to his time among the Sons of Batman, he can actually quote a plethora of Christian Bible verses.

* AnythingThatMoves: Apex is driven by survival instincts and the need to mate is particularly strong in him, as it is in his father. If unable to fulfill this drive, Apex can become easily agitated and irrational. Also, every so often (varies due to a number of circumstances) Apex will be driven by a painful urge to procreate. As he is still too young to impregnate or become pregnant himself, it is likely these urges happen several times a year as is the case with most young Czarnians. Once he reaches full maturation this drive will only occur once every decade or two.

* MeaningfulName: His name is a nod to '''Greg''' Weisman, creator of the ''WesternAnimation/{{Gargoyles}}'', and Jason '''Macendale''', a ''Franchise/SpiderMan'' character that went by the aliases of Hobgoblin, Jack O'Lantern, and Demogoblin.

* PeekABangs: While in civilian clothes she covers the scars on her face with her hair.

* DoesNotLikeShoes: Hank has a serious aversion to feet. It's like an anti-fetish. He is revolted by the smell of feet and will ask barefooted people to put socks on. Hank owns no sandals or flip-flops.
