An alliance created by Bad to expand the power of the Badlands and [[ReligionOfEvil spread the parasitic influence]] of the Crimson (see below). By the time of Season 4, the cultists have since been freed of their ties with the Egg and have gone back to either prior alliances or going solo.

* BrainwashedAndCrazy: While most members of the alliance were somewhat decent people, their actions under the influence of The Crimson are usually beyond their morals, ranging from rampant destruction of property to celebrating the death of a teenager.

* DoomedByCanon: Since the L'Sandberg Arc takes place in the future where Bad and Ant have been freed from the Egg's influence and remorseful for their actions, the Eggpire will at some point fall and leave their members freed from The Egg's influence.

* TheEmpire: The Eggpire aims to take over the world and gain power using The Egg. Its name also is a portmanteau of 'Egg' and 'Empire'.

* AmbiguousSituation: Given its nature as an OutsideContextProblem, a lot about The Crimson is still very unclear, such as its origins, its purpose or motives. It seems to at least be sentient, but even that's a little unclear.

* GardenOfEvil: The Egg Chamber itself, being filled with Egg tendrils.
* HearingVoices: People being influenced by The Egg often claim to hear it talking to them, although the viewers never hear these whispers. That is, until one of [=BadBoyHalo=]'s streams, where it spoke in a soft, creepy, whisper, only understandable when played in reverse. Foolish and (very occasionally) Sam hear it speaking the right way around; Bad also gets to hear it speaking vocally the right way round in the Volume 1 finale.

* LavaAddsAwesome: Subverted ''hard''. The Crimson's tendrils are partially composed of magma blocks, and The Egg can turn water encased in it into lava, and it's definitely a problem, even if it's not actively malicious.

* OutsideContextProblem: Let's just say, in a story that up until that point had mostly been about war, political conflicts and moral dilemma, a ball of red vines with MindManipulation abilities slowly trying to invade the server was not something anyone could have expected. It's later revealed that the Egg is not, in fact, native to the lands of the Dream SMP, making this a more [[LiteralMetaphor literal]] interpretation of the trope.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: Subverted. While it hasn't actually said anything offensive (yet), Tommy and Philza claim it is (with Tommy going so to pretend to be a translator, claiming the Egg had said offensive slurs).

* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: The Egg has a very mysterious past. We know for sure that it appeared in the ''Tales From the SMP'' episode "The Masquerade", which presumably takes place in the late 19th to early 20th century[[note]]The episode "The Wild West" took place [[ShapedLikeItself in the time of the Wild West]], when the Butler was still a young child, while "The Masquerade" took place with him as a teenager at least, and a fully grown adult at most, meaning there's likely a ~10-20 year time gap between the episodes chronologically[[/note]]. She has since abandoned being a therapist and embraced the server society's broken nature that allows conflict and war. As of Season 4, it's to the point where she (and H) assures Tina that doing crimes on the server in the name of excitement and want of conflict is fine given what has happened.

Bad's best friend and a later member of the Badlands, Skeppy ended up in possession of one of the Discs (Cat) and though not really agreeing with Dream, fought with him to stop Tommy from gaining it, but eventually lost the disc to Dream. Skeppy later ended up sacrificing himself to the Egg to save Bad, reducing him to a soulless husk, empty of any and all emotion or desire. Following his first death Skeppy seemingly got back his senses, freed from the Egg's control. However, during the Eggpire finale of Volume 1, it was revealed he was still loyal to the Egg - working with it to sacrifice as many people as possible in exchange for his wish to be granted\\

Skeppy has two lives left. He lost his first life after being accidentally pushed into lava by Bad. He is also tied to his friend Bad's life count--Bad loses a life only when Skeppy himself does, making Bad unkillable otherwise.

After the detonation of L'Manburg for the final time, Puffy did a lot of soul-searching on what it means to be a knight, and came to the conclusion that Dream is the true enemy of the server. She formally denounced him, and seeks to train herself to become better, in order to prevent the next disaster. She was a resident of Snowchester, but she's more concerned with helping people than faction loyalty. She moved to the New World after the destruction of her restaurant, but after being dragged back to the main server for her birthday party she ended up getting fully possesed by the Egg.\\

One of the eight original SMP members and the leader of the Badlands. Bad started out on the Dream SMP's side as a genuinely good guy, most known for his love of muffins, close relationship with his best friend Skeppy, and hating swearing. Recently, he's taken a turn to the dark side, founding his own faction with the intent on stoking the conflict between the other major players, keeping it going as long as possible while the Badlands expands. It wasn't until Skeppy became a soulless husk thanks to the Egg's influence, that the world was truly shown [[YouAreWorthHell how far Bad was willing to go for Skeppy]]. With the Eggpire gone, a (mostly) remorseful Bad had since returned to being back as the de facto leader of the Badlands.\\

Bad has two to three lives left. He may have lost his first life when he accidentally killed Skeppy by pushing him into lava. The way his lives work is unique: it has been made clear that as a demon, Bad is unkillable unless his source of power (in Bad's case, Skeppy) dies; however, there is debate as to whether Bad loses a canon life only when Skeppy does, or if Bad has only one life and simply cannot die until Skeppy has been KilledOffForReal, as these were the two initial explanations given by the content creator and no later clarification has been given.

* AccidentalMurder: Bad accidentally took Skeppy's first canon life after an argument between them about the Egg escalated into Bad punching Skeppy right into a pool of lava.
* AffablyEvil: Bad may have some morally questionable goals, but he is still [=BadBoyHalo=] at the end of the day. {{Subverted|Trope}} while he is a part of the Eggpire, when it shifts into FauxAffablyEvil.
* TheAlcoholic: Bad started drinking around the time of the prison break to [[DrowningMySorrows help cope with the guilt]] over his partial role in Ranboo's death and assisting Dream's escape, and since then it appears to have become a habit, over which multiple characters, including several of Bad's enemies, have expressed concern.
* AndIMustScream: His conversation with Quackity reveals that on some level Bad is aware of what is happening to him and knows that The Egg is bad news, but the longer he's under its control, the more it erodes at the good and sensible parts of his personality.
* AntiVillain: Type 1. Bad is an ambitious, somewhat treacherous war profiteer who intends to exploit the Pogtopia-Manburg War for his own benefit, but he's also a kind, sweet-natured man with plenty of PetTheDog moments and moral principles. He develops into a Type 2 after he lets himself be [[BrainwashedAndCrazy brainwashed by the Egg]] to be with Skeppy; he's corrupted against his will into a monstrous zealot doing things that his normal self would be absolutely horrified by and shows [[AndIMustScream flashes of awareness of how far he's fallen that he's unable to act on]].
* ArcVillain: He and the Eggpire as a whole are slowly shaping up to be this for the Imprisonment Era with Dream now out of the picture.
* BerserkButton: Bad hates people swearing and doesn't hesitate to chastise people who curse in front of him. This is often exploited by the more cuss-happy characters like Quackity and Tommy for the sole purpose of riling him up.
* BigNo: Immediately after he accidentally pushes Skeppy into a lava pit during an argument, canonically killing him.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: When confronting Sam about his actions during Dream's escape from prison, Bad seems more angry about Sam [[BadPeopleAbuseAnimals killing Techno's pet dog Apollo]] than Ranboo being KilledOffForReal.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: It's unknown how many of his action are the result of his corruption by The Crimson nor when he was corrupted but it's clear it's having a very negative affect on him.
* CatchPhrase: He would say "[[ProfanityPolice Language!]]" whenever someone swears at or around him.
* CooperationGambit: Bad's faction supported Pogtopia in their war against Dream and Schlatt. However, Bad's primary motive was to keep the war going for as long as possible so the Badlands could take over while the others were distracted.
* DisproportionateRetribution: His response to Tommy reverting the Prime Path backs to his original look? ''Encase his entire house and property in obsidian.''
* DrowningMySorrows: When Ant runs into him after Dream's escape, Bad is clearly drunk, and continues drinking throughout the stream (though he denies it and claims that it's apple juice). It is heavily implied that he is doing so to cope with the [[ItsAllMyFault guilt over letting Dream escape]] and [[GuiltRiddenAccomplice his partial role]] in Ranboo's [[KilledOffForReal death]].
** Another layer or alternative to this is revealed after Dream's January 14th 2022 lore video, as it shows Bad previously giving a presumably-Enderwalking Ranboo the prison blueprints that Techno would eventually find (under Dream's instructions) and use to engineer the Jailbreak... which altogether implies that Bad might also feel guilty for indirectly helping Dream escape in the first place. However, the conversation as mentioned above indicates that Bad might not remember doing this.
** This has happened numerous times since, escalating to the point where it can safely be said that Bad has become [[TheAlcoholic an alcoholic]].
* EngineeredHeroics: Bad planned to have the Blood Vines spread all over the SMP and then arrive with the only solution to remove the Vines in order to gain control over the entire server.
* EvilIsPetty: As of Season 4, Bad has made a habit of getting back at others in the most annoying of ways for slighting him (even though its usually out of Bad's victims being inconvenienced first). For example, when it comes to Foolish, Bad usually tampers with his [=DreamXD=] statue or someplace around his summer home.
* FaceHeelTurn: While Bad was always morally grey (as was pretty much everyone else), his corruption by the Egg turns him into one of the most ruthless and manipulative people on the server, with his endgame being to corrupt everyone else on the server into worshippers of the Egg like him.
* FalseInnocenceTrick: Bad feigns coming back to his senses to lower Sam's guard before trapping him in an obsidian cage directly above the Egg.
* FatalFlaw:
** His arguable codependency on Skeppy, which leads him to risk everything he has--his freedom, safety, happiness, and most notably, [[BrainwashedAndCrazy his free will]]--if it means Skeppy is alright. It also doesn't help that his life is outright [[SoulJar tied to Skeppy's]], so if/when Skeppy loses all his canon lives and is KilledOffForReal, Bad will die with him.
** Personality-wise, Bad's own refusal to accept the blame for his misdeeds and opting to take petty vengeance is pretty much a good factor for the conflicts that revolve around him.
* GoshDangItToHeck: Bad prefers to keep his content family friendly, using the words "muffin" or "muffinhead" as replacement for swears, while acting as the ProfanityPolice to his server-mates. [[SirSwearsALot Tommy and Quackity]] often troll BBH by openly cursing in front of him.
* InterspeciesAdoption: One day, Bad found a young Sapnap "under a rock" and adopted him.
