* AdaptationalBadass: In the comic, it's not revealed how powerful Hatchiyack it outside of a line from U18 Vegeta that indicated that he might have been able to beat him. In the novel, it's stated that he's stronger than a Super Sayian Vegito and he actually displays the ability to fight in hand-to-hand combat rather than simply rely on its BeamSpam.
* ArtificialStupidity: Hatchiyack only has one strategy. Scream for 15 seconds while charging up energy, and firing the energy when those 15 seconds are up. [[spoiler:This ends up getting exploited by Gast the second he realizes it.]]
* AwesomeButImpractical: Hatchiyack's Revenger Cannon is devastating in raw power and the charging process allows it to emit a BrownNote that paralyses its opponent, allowing it to charge with little fear of getting attacked.
