* {{Deconstruction}}: The later stories in the franchise establish Hazel as one to the NobodyGetsLeftBehind protagonists that tend to be the focus of other ''Prehistoric Park'' fanfictions. While this trait is admirable, Hazel arguably takes it too far by trying to rescue creatures from blatantly dangerous situations that she doesn't have a way of escaping from.

* NotGoodWithRejection: Attacks [[spoiler:Big Al]] because Alyssa likes [[spoiler:Al]] more than him and says as much. {{Downplayed}}, though: he only really becomes antagonistic toward [[spoiler:Al]] after the latter starts mocking him.

* NotGoodWithPeople: a type 2 preferring a strict zoo keeper approach. He is also a little hard to work with as he is cocky, pessimistic, and a little prideful. He looks down on Hazel due to her age. He is good at his job though.

* WhiteSheep: UpToEleven: he's the only member of his ''entire species'' that isn't portrayed in a selfish or morally ambiguous manner.

Despite this, she tries to attack Hazel and Flia even after taking such a severe wound, only to be knocked backwards by Al, resulting in Red Sand being impaled ''[[UpToEleven AGAIN]]'', this time at least once through the neck, which finally kills her]].

* BigBad: Is shaping up to be this. [[spoiler: He has found out about the Park and is rallying the flesh-eaters to feast!]].

* TheDreaded: Despite being smaller than a t.rex they fear him due to his influence and ruthless nature.
* TheDon: He is compared to this in the story. Not only does he command a fierce pack, but has an alliance with all the other predators which he can call on. It's stated he lends predators land to live on in exchange for their services.

* AffablyEvil: Okay evil is taking it too far, but he is still spying on the park for his superiors and shows little concern over the consequences. Oh, and he is a genuinely nice guy.

A family of Sabertooth cats. However [[TastesLikeDiabetes Tai and Sable]] are unaware that Sabrina and César are their parents.

* IHaveNoSon: {{Downplayed}}: she disinherited Broken Jaw (or did the dinosaurian equivalent, at least) after he was crippled by Woodstock. She still considers him her son, however. [[YouAreNotMyFather He most definitely reciprocates the feeling, but goes much farther than she does.]]

* AdultFear: None of their eggs from their last clutch hatched. For dinosaurs, this would be equivalent to having a stillborn child.

* BigBad: The villain that fills this role the most in ''Prehistoric Revolution'', as she provides the most opposition to Flia and Hazel.

* EnemyEatsYourLunch: [[spoiler:Kills and eats a ''Drinker'' '''just before Al catches it''']].

* LastOfHerKind: She's the last ''Brachiosaurus'' by the time of ''A Prehistoric Park Adventure'', and while she doesn't let it get to her that much, it's clear she's very lonely because of this.[[spoiler: This makes her meeting with Yin that much more heartwarming]].
** Also, depending on what Hazel rescues in ''Prehistoric Revolution'', this may not be the case for much longer.

* TheJuggernaught/MadeOfIron: [[spoiler:It takes being attacked by Marth, Irwin, Aladar, Flia, Terence AND Matilda to finally beat him in ''Extinction Lasts Forever'']].

* AdaptationalPersonalityChange: In ''Documentary/DinosaurRevolution'', Caius was constantly trying to eat Flit, but here, they are best friends. Addtionally, both are friends with Broken Jaw, when in the show, he tried to eat Caius whenever the latter annoyed him.
