* LavaIsBoilingKoolAid: Prior to fighting the player, Azmodan is standing (bathing?) in a pool of lava. Oddly, Azmodan can not only be [[GameplayAndStorySegregation damaged by fire, he has no particular resistance to it at all]]. Maybe it really is just Kool-Aid?

* CanonName: You can name these guys whatever you like, but Blizzard has released several canon identities. The short stories feature all the classes, but only two are the closest considered canon: the female Wizard, Li-Ming, and the female Demon Hunter, Valla, both of them having their canonity strengthened with how characters from their tie-in stories appear in ''Reaper of Souls'', and further strengthened with their appearances in ''VideoGame/HeroesOfTheStorm'' (The Wizard hasn't made appearance there). That game also gave the CanonName to the female Barbarian (Sonya), male Witch Doctor (Nazeebo), female Crusader (Johanna) and male Monk (Kharazim).

* DesignItYourselfEquipment: She provides a limited version of this, allowing a player to (within limits) change the appearance of each item, and reroll ''one'' stat on each item. (''Exactly'' one stat per item; you can only reroll the ''same'' stat on an item once you've had it done.) This can be done as long as the player has the gold (and, in the case of the stat reroll, the materials) to have it done.

* CanonName: The only ''Diablo II'' hero to ever receive this first from the Short Stories of Wizard, then in ''Reaper of Souls''. The rest... may have to wait if they'll get included in ''VideoGame/HeroesOfTheStorm''.

Wizards are renegade spellcasters who use their bodies as vessels for arcane energy, forsaking the more careful path favored by other magic users. They manipulate all manner of forces to disintegrate, burn, and freeze their foes, and they can control time and light to teleport, create powerful illusions, and deflect oncoming attacks. They use Arcane Power, which regenerates quickly. However, their spells have cool-down times, due to the dangers of channeling too much energy. In the tie-in short story on the ''Diablo III'' website, the female Wizard's name is Li-Ming.

A user of the arts of the dead introduced in ''Diablo II'', who has troubles if going to battle physically, but is a great caster, using bone and poisonous spells, summoning minions or cursing his enemies. In story he is a priest of the Cult of Rathma come out from the underground city of the eastern jungles to help restore balance between life and death.

* InformedAbility: His defining trait, being a ConsummateLiar. His identity is pretty obvious the first time you talk to him. Though unlike Azmodan, he at least does accomplish something with his manipulating skills (he is already controlling Caldeum by the time you arrive).

* InformedAbility: His defining trait, being a ConsummateLiar. His identity is pretty obvious the first time you talk to him. Though unlike Azmodan, he at least does accomplish something with his manipulating skills (he is already controlling Caldeum by the time you arrive). On the other hand, while he may have ''taken over'' Caldeum, he's obviously not very good at keeping it under control; see VillainousBreakdown below.

* InformedAbility: Like Belial, the one trait he's best known for -- being an "uncanny tactician." He has a moment or two, but doesn't demonstrate quite enough tactical acumen to live up to his reputation, especially given his penchant for monologuing at you about what he's up to.

*WeHaveReserves: The extent of his strategy against Bastion Keep. Whenever you deal with one of his heavy hitters like the ballistae or Ghom, he shows up and basically says "Well, that guy didn't matter, we'll still overrun the keep through sheer numbers."

* AmazonianBeauty: Subverted. Despite the name, the Amazon's physique is similar to the other female classes.

* AmazonianBeauty: The female barbarian is huge and quite muscular, but no less of a beauty for it.
to:
* AmazonianBeauty: The female barbarian Barbarian red-headed warrior who is huge incredible tall and quite muscular, but muscular much like her male counterpart. The two main differences are that she's a lot younger than the male barbarian, who's an old man, and her armor sets, especially in the official art for the game tends to be slightly more sexualized. Of course the latter two make her no less of a beauty for it.an [[http://i.imgur.com/AlR0syC.jpg intimidating looking woman]].
