Added DiffLines:

* UnwillinglyGirlyTomboy: Sam enters a BeautyContest to try and prove how sexist it is. It's actually a charade for a medieval King Ghost from another dimension to pick a human bride, and when Sam accidentally wins, she is dressed up like a princess for the King by his lady servant. She even busts through her glass slippers.

* MidSeasonUpgrade: After her initial hunting gear was destroyed, Technus secretly provided her with improved armor and equipment in the hopes that she would destroy Danny for him.

* ShipperOnDeck: In one of the most unique uses of this trope, Technus plays this as a variant of LetsYouAndHimFight. He pushes Valerie and Danny closer together in a relationship to distract both of them while he works on his larger plans.
* SimpleStaff: He's sometimes shown with a technological staff capable of generating electricity. It became a plot point once in a later episode.

* TotallyRadical: Tries to sound "hip and far out" around Team Phantom.

* BatmanGambit: At one point, she began stalking Team Phantom when she saw that Danny and Sam were arguing. She was waiting for the point when one of them used the magic words, "I wish I never met you!" [[spoiler:without Sam as Danny's friend, he never became Danny Phantom, and removed him as an obstacle for her plans involving a meteor shower]].

* RedEyesTakeWarning: Walker's eyes are solid red, and he's not one to take lightly.

* TotallyRadical: Her favourite insult for Danny is "Dipstick", something he's mocked her on before.

* Cowboy: His second appearance ditches the pirate theme for a cowboy theme.

* ImaginationBasedSuperpower: Youngblood's powers seem to be based on whatever he's play-acting as. From shooting cannons as a pirate to creating a lasso as a cowboy.

* NonHumanSidekick: Has one in the form of a skeletal entity that first takes the form of a parrot and then takes that of a horse.

* PermaStubble: Johnny has a few lines of blond hair on his chin, though never enough for a BeardOfEvil.

* DidntSeeThatComing: He's rather surprised, though more amused than anything, to find half ghost hybrids exist in the modern age.

* IHatePastMe:

* Badass: Is one tough ghost, capable of taking the likes of Vlad and Valarie and emerging victorious. It takes a lot for him to even show pain.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: The former Ghost King, and the strongest ghost in the whole story.
* BadAss: Probably the most powerful ghost to exist and the only one capable of dual-wielding the Ring of Rage and Crown of Fire. Danny had to use his parents ExoSuit to amplify his powers a hundred-fold just to stand a chance and all he could do was knock the Crown off (and thus weakening Pariah) enough to shove him back into the Coffin of Forever-Sleep.

* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: To Danny. 21 years of experience using his ghost powers means that he has far better control of them, and a much broader repertoire of powers to draw from. Even when Danny improves, he almost never beats Vlad in a straight up fight, usually resorting to interfering with his end goal or using trickery.

Even when A desire to close the gap causes Danny improves, to train intensively. While Danny does improve much more quickly than Vlad did, he still almost never beats Vlad in a straight up fight, usually resorting to interfering with his end goal or using trickery.

It also serves as a mirror to Danny's actions, as he had been recently using his Ghost powers againat Dash and he responses to Pariah's statement on how one is supposed to use their power.

* BigBrotherInstinct: To Danielle. In "Kindred Spirits" he's rather untrusting of her at first (for good reason) but when he learns what she is and she defects from Vlad he starts to become this. By "D-Stablized" he fits this to a T; her safety becomes his top priority, even ignoring the possibility Valerie saw him transform to save Danielle.

* ClarkKenting: Different eye and hair color and a barely noticeable shift in skin tone is the only thing that disguises him as Danny Phantom. He doesn't even change his voice. It's lampshaded by several of the more DangerouslyGenreSavvy villains like Vlad and .

* CoolLoser: A classic one, as per usual of teen superheroes; Danny is outgoing, funny, dresses normally, acts normally, is intelligent (although lazy and, as previously mentioned, BookDumb), and as far as you can tell with the art style, fairly attractive. His only real problems include being a bit awkward with girls and ending up in strange situations in public due to his superhero activity. Yet, for some reason, the entire school seems to treat him like the nerd plague. It could be because Sam and Tucker are highly unpopular, but in real life, he would certainly have more than just two friends, even if he does hang out with two "weird" kids... His parents aren't doing him any favors, either.

* HeartbrokenBadass: During the climax of "Fanning the Flames", due to Ember's love spell between him and Sam.
** End of "Flirting with Disaster" when Valerie breaks up with him, ironically to hunt Danny Phantom.
* HenshinHero: From human to ghost form.
** Subverted in that he can use his powers when he's in his human form, although it's very limited (only making certain parts of his body invisible/intangible, only firing a ghost ray from one finger, etc.). Whether this limit is Danny choosing to barely use his powers or Danny not being able to fully use his powers is never really explained.

* KaleidoscopeEyes

to:

* KaleidoscopeEyesKaleidoscopeEyes: His eyes glow green when he's angry. Strangely, only his friends notice this.

* PerkyGoth: Kind of.

to:

* PerkyGoth: Kind of. Not nearly as perky as most of the girls in her school, but she generally more upbeat and cheery than Tucker and sometimes Danny.

* StrawVegetarian: She's a self-proclaimed "ultra-recylco vegetarian," which apparently means she eats mud and grass. She also openly admits in the first episode that she just does it to be different, but she doesn't seem to like meat all that much in any case.

* ButtMonkey: He's dumped on quite a lot and has saved Danny more than once and yet, he only gets thanked once and it's a "thanks for being my friend" that Danny throws out to Sam as well. Although it's heartfelt, the execution of how that came about feels rather tacked on and awkward. Later seasons have him either virtually ignored or usually getting victimized.
** It becomes part of the plot in "What You Want" when Tucker, after routinely getting pummeled every time Danny ditches him to save the world, wishes for ghost powers.

to:

* OddFriendship: With Sam. There are some implications that he's just part of the deal with her friendship with Danny, but they are still pretty tight.

* JerkJock: There's somewhat of a twist on this trope in that despite acting up to the JerkJock stereotype, he is also strangely prescient as to the future of most fictional Jerk Jocks, as he casually makes references to high school being the peak of his life and having to face a future of pumping gas.

* EvilCounterpart: To Danny.

to:

* EvilCounterpart: To Danny. He's a prime example of what Danny could have been if he had used his powers for personal gain.

* LoveMakesYouEvil: His entire motivation is based around being desperately in love with Maddie Fenton, blaming Jack Fenton for taking her away from him and wanting to do everything in his considerable power to remove Jack from the picture so he can move in and take Maddie as his wife, as he believes is his right.
** Though in the alternate timeline where he didn't get the powers but married Maddie, he's shown to still be a massive jerk, refusing to let her do any ghost hunting that she had to eventually do it in secret. So the trope ends up being subverted.

* FreudianExcuse: Growing up around ghosts and two ghost-obsessed parents gave him a massive inferiority complex. He also suspects that his audience cares more about his ghosts than about him, which fuels his desire for power and attention.

* TokenHuman: The only human villain in show.

to:

* StevenUlyssesPerhero: Real name is Frederich Isak Showenhower. Given that he's a circus performer, this is probably intentional on his part.
* TokenHuman: The only (completely) human villain in show.

* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: In the absence of Pariah Dark, he appears to be the de facto leader of the Ghost Zone. Most likely because, as "The Ghost Zone's Greatest Hunter," he's the most dangerous among them.

* EgomaniacHunter: Hunts other ghosts.

to:

* EgomaniacHunter: Hunts other ghosts.ghosts for sport. He even keeps trophies.

* FatalFlaw: Exploited as part of her MO. She feeds off of negativity, which she gets by acting as a high school psychologist and picking at the one thing her "patients" are the most insecure about. For Dash, it's his future; for Paulina, it's her beauty; for Danny, it's his competence.

* StrawMisogynist: His views on women are TheThemeParkVersion of Middle Age social mores, meant to drive home his episode's message about about modern women.
* WalkingTechbane: Literally, since no modern technology can function in his realm.

* ExcessiveEvilEyeshadow

to:

* ExcessiveEvilEyeshadowExcessiveEvilEyeshadow: In her case, it has more to do with being a punk rocker than with being evil.

* AbortedArc: The writers clearly planned for something big to come of his alliance with Vlad, since the whole of Reign Storm leads up to it and it's alluded to in Ultimate Enemy. But for some reason, it's just sort of forgotten about.

* KnightOfCerberus: Pun aside, the episodes he's involved in are the darkest in the series. Not to mention the two movies.

However, the MadeForTVMovie he appeared in featured major roles from a lot of the more interesting RoguesGallery members (such as Vlad, Valerie, Fright Knight, and Skulker), so it all evened out.
