* AngstWhatAngst: He was one of the survivors of Molaesmyr but has displayed little interest in aiding fellow survivors or discovering what exactly happened to his homeland.

As Marion explains to Jester, they are very different people than when they first got together and he has a lot of enemies. They need to have several conversations about if it can work or not. [[WordOfGod Matt revealed]] in the campaign wrap-up that they do end up together after the Gentleman fakes his death and moves to Nicodranas.]]

* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: He offered to take all of the blame for what happened at the night of the carnival [[spoiler: and for unknowingly bringing a life-draining fiend into the city]], and for it he essentially loses his livelihood and is put into indentured servitude in Trostenwald to pay off his debt to the city.

* AmbiguouslyEvil: He was part of the members of the Cerberus Assembly who were studying the beacons stolen from Xhorhas, which he later claims that Trent Ikithon only recently uncovered the location of and that they were prepared to return it in exchange for peace. It's unclear if he was lying to King Dwendal about this or if the king is aware of the project, but either way he is at least lying to the Mighty Nein. However, Yussa Errenis also describes him as the one who keeps the peace and balance between the Assembly and the King.

* InsatiableNewlyweds: When Yeza and Veth are finally reunited [[spoiler:and Veth is back to being a halfling]], they more than make up for the years they were separated. Veth makes him give her "one for the road" before she and the rest of the party leave to join the Dynasty's and Empire's peace talks.

* AdvancedTech2000: Cleff pays the party for destroying his defective clockwork warden in part with the "Tinkertop Bolt Blaster 1000", a prototype crossbow that can shoot magical bolts and fires double shots on a critical hit. * ExtremeDoormat: When Clara sees Beau again after years she is so concerned about Thoreau's reaction that she barely expresses any emotions other than shock. Her passivity seems to be the only thing Beau is upset about her, and when she leaves she invites her mother to start standing for her opinions.

* ChildrenAreInnocent: He is two years old and he was the only member of the Lionett family genuinely happy to see Beauregard when she visited them.
* GenerationXerox: Potentially. The Mighty Nein conclude that if Isharnai caused the unhappy family life of the Lionetts Thoreau will end up being an AbusiveParent to T.J. as well, no matter his gender. But for T.J. things will be better, because if he is going to have problems he will have Beau to help him.
