Princess Lampyridae/Firewing was born after two major, bloody conflicts that was directly caused by the long-standing racial feud between Changelingkind and Dragonkind. After the Dr. Toxikon Crisis ended, Thorax and Ember decided to forgive each other's races for their heinous actions, having gotten so sick of the violence and hypocrisy behind the feud in general that they both decided that it was time to react with forgiveness and mercy rather than continue something that has both affected and killed millions of innocents. Shortly after that, a goddess was born in the form of an infant Dragon/Changeling hybrid.\\\

Luminiferous hypothesized that Lampyridae/Firewing's birth was the result of the magical karmic backlash towards Thorax and Ember's actions. Because the Changeling-Dragon feud was so bloody, vicious, and enduring, Thorax and Ember rejecting it and genuinely forgiving their people created a massive rebound, spawning a hybrid deity that embodied Forgiveness and Making Amends. Needless to say, Lampyridae/Firewing's discovery both shocked and flustered Ember, especially when the infant regarded her and Thorax as her biological "parents".\\\

Shortly after Lampyridae/Firewing's birth, both the Changeling Progenitors (as well as their demigod children) and the Dragon pantheon started having a "custody battle" upon her discovery, arguing over which domain she truly belonged to in hopes they would take possession of the infant goddess. It got so bad that Lampyridae/Firewing started crying loudly... and unleashed an "empathy wave" that caused both sides to see and experience the hurt they were inflicting on each other with their petty squabbles. Because of this, it was ultimately decided that the infant hybrid goddess would stay with Thorax and Ember as a tenuous joint member of both groups.\\\

While some see Lampyridae/Firewing as an opportunity to finally bury the hatchet, others, especially more malicious individuals, see her as a prospective weapon. Nevertheless, as an infant goddess, she has lots of potential, and might play a very important role in the future.
