* DualWielding: He changes from using a single bone-whip sword to wielding two smaller ones. This is somewhat deconstructed because wielding both swords requires more mental effort than just one.
* EasilyForgiven: Subverted. Kaito had to train him in secret because Ayase hasn't forgiven him for putting her father in a coma.

* WorthyOpponent: He realizes Ikki is a powerful foe because the latter didn't take his bait like most people. He also considers Kaito Ayatsuji one and somewhat regrets being unable to see his ultimate technique.
