* VillainDecay: Hoo boy, the Space Mafia probably has the steepest decay out of any villain group in the ''Metal Hero'' series. They start off a competent and mysterious OmniscientCouncilOfVagueness, even managing to destroy the Blue SWAT organization in the first episode in an attack that leaves Show, Sarah and Sig the only survivors. Subsequent episodes see their executives step out from the shadows and becoming a whole lot less threatening, repeatedly trying and failing to kill three people in schemes that only get more ridiculous as the series goes on. They briefly regain some level of seriousness when Queen arrives, but the petty squabbling between her and Jisp ultimately costs the organization whatever threat level it had left. It really says something when the villains from the much more kid friendly [[Series/JuukouBFighter next series]] manage to be more threatening and competent than you. Hell, even [[Series/BRoboKabutack Cobrander and his goons]] at least knew how to teamwork properly.

* DragonWithAnAgenda: He's the commander of the Earth invasion who reports to Mademoiselle Q, but his main goal is simply a desire to rule over others rather than anything else.

* IdiotBall: He's done away with in the end entirely because of a mistake no one in their right mind would make. [[spoiler:He kills Doctor Aldo to cover his tracks, and then leaves his body out in the open where anyone can find it, which lets Blue SWAT get the data they need from him to stop Jisp.]]

* TheHeavy: They're the ones directing the Space Mafia's operations on Earth and movements to capture protagonists, at least initially.

* SatelliteCharacter: Zodor and Riga's characterization devolves to them just being Jisp's two subordinates once he gets actives.

* TheChick: The ditzy but compassionate and cheerful member of Blue Research.

* AwesomeMcCoolname: "Gold-Platinum" is a pretty epic name.

* IdiotBall: He's done away with in the end entirely because of a mistake no one in their right mind would make. [[spoiler:He kills Doctor Aldo to cover his tracks, and then leaves his body out in the open where anyone can find it, which lets Blue SWAT get the data they need from him anyway.]]

* TheDragon: He's the commander of the Earth invasion, but even he reports to Mademoiselle Q.

* AlienInvasion: They've been secretly invading Earth for an undetermined amount of time.

* DemonicPossession: Most of their members have the power to possess humans by "invading" their bodies in order to blend in.

* OneLetterName: They have a habit of using single letters (coupled with GratuitousFrench) as aliases. Queen is alternatively known as Mademoiselle Q, Jisp often uses "Monsieur J" as an alias and Q's bodyguards are known as "A" and "B".

* AMotherToHerMen: Downplayed, but as psychotic as she is she seems to have an objection to attacking her own men. When [[spoiler:Jisp brainwashes the Space Mafia into submitting to him, Queen chooses to flee from them rather than stay and fight them all off.]]

* WhiteHairBlackHeart: Has white hair, coupled with a graceful but cold and ruthless persona.

The Space Mafia's Earth Attack Commander.

* EvilWearsBlack: Wears a black uniform as Zaji. His second host also wears a black suit and mantle.
* TheHeavy: He's the director of the Space Mafia's invasion and the driving force behind most of the obstacles our protagonists face.

* LargeHam: He's more subdued at first but after getting his second host he becomes quite hammy and expressive.

* TheStarscream: [[spoiler:Towards the end he plots to become "King Jisp" and overthrow Queen to rule both the Space Mafia and Earth.]]

* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: [[spoiler:Kills Doctor Aldo after he installs an upgrade to let Jisp MindControl people. This bites him in the ass later as Blue SWAT can still access his memories, which they use to develop an antidote to the pheromone.]]

* CoDragons: They all report to Jisp, although Zodor and Riga seem to be his direct lieutenants.

* AppropriatedAppellation: Possibly. When Sig is first describing them, he uses "space mafia" as more of a descriptor for the organization rather than their specific name. When we see Zodor with a fellow executive later, however, they use "Space Mafia" as if it were the actual name of the group.

* TheStarscream: [[spoiler:Towards the end he plots a coup against Queen to rule both the Space Mafia and Earth.]]

* ExperiencedProtagonist: With the exception of Sarah, since her [=LEO=] experience was from the LAPD, Show was recruited directly as a civilin [[spoiler:with Sig being a dead person initially]].

* TheLancer: He's technically TheHero, but within Blue SWAT he's Sarah's laidback and cocky partner.

* ActionGirl: She's tough, agile and has losts of experience with a pistol in her hands.

* MissionControl: His main role is to sit back in the team van and provide reconnaissence and data to the team.
* NonActionGuy: Since he doesn't have the training Show, Sig and Sarah do, he doesn't ever fight and instead helps the team with mostly technological matters.
* OddFriendship: Gets along well with Show, even though the two have differing interests.
* TheSmartGuy: He's the team's resident computer expert, tech guy and intel gatherer.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: Wears glasses and is TheSmartGuy of the team.

* GoodIsDumb: She's quite ditzy and not the brightest bulb, but she's also the most outwardly nice of the team.
* LockedOutOfTheLoop: She's initially the only one unaware that Blue Research is really a front for fighting aliens. [[spoiler:By episode 12 she starts to become suspicious after seeing Show, Sarah and Sig listed as dead in a local paper. By an episode later she's discovered the truth and been let into the loop.]]
