* {{Expy}}: She was originally supposed to be a baby VideoGame/{{Yoshi}}, but after many years, the tone of the story changing, her personality developing, and [[YouWannaGetSued a fear of copyright law striking]], Yashy was slowly changed into a lizard-thing that somewhat ''looks'' like a Yoshi but isn't. Any references to Yoshi like laying multi-purpose eggs or using a prehensile tongue to attack/swallow were also removed, most notably in the remake of "Chirpy's Introduction". Her name stayed, with the in-universe justification that Lucy simply named her after Yoshi because of the physical resemblance.

Abbey’s little sister seems to have an endless reserve of childish positivity, showing strong dedication to schoolwork and her local Girl Scout troop. She loves her brother dearly, and shoulders more of their shared burden than he’d like.

* KiddieKid: Despite a 3 to 4 year age difference between her and Abbey, her stature and demeanor make her seem younger.
* PrecociousCrush: "Everyday Life" reveals that she's gained one on Paulo.

* StrongFamilyResemblance: Lucy looks nearly identical to her mother. Both of them also happen to be [[ICantHearYou deaf in one of their ears]].

* CombatSadomasochist: Alejandro took two of Lucy's [[GroinKick kicks]], had his teeth smashed into each other hard enough to chip one and draw blood, and was still okay enough to [[WouldHitAGirl beat Lucy senseless]] before Mike came back, smashing his face into an alley floor and still not stopping him. It took Mike and Lucy together to turn the fight around (at which point it became a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown). And he beat Mike (and was about to '''crush his skull''') before all this happened.

* MyBelovedSmother: With a heaping dose of StageMom too. The few things we get about Sandy's relationship with her mother indicates that a ''lot'' of her upbringing is controlled by her. Her moving was dictated by her, her contracts and show appearances go through her (to the point where it's hinted that Sandy struggles with schooling and work), and even her relationships go through her. In Chapter 115, Sandy all but outright states that the leading reason for [[spoiler:her breakup with Francis]] was because her mother didn't approve, and ''explicitly'' states that she can date Mike because [[spoiler:her mother sees him as the "safe" option since he's nowhere near her]].

* BoobsOfSteel: She is the only girl who fights and is ''very'' well endowed for her size, so Lucy may qualify, though only relative to her fellows.

* MsFanservice: Lucy's said to be so hot that plenty of guys would ''kill'' for a chance to have their way with her, and the comic ''makes sure we know it''. She's often put in [[https://www.bittersweetcandybowl.com/c95/p9 eye-catching situations]] and many panels focus on her [[BoobsOfSteel petite but shapely figure]].

* CantHoldHisLiquor: It takes ''very'' little alcohol to make Mike hilariously drunk. [[spoiler:Which ends up directly leading to Alejandro attempting to mug the group in Confrontation. Oh God...]]

* AmbiguousDisorder: He has a habit of bottling up his emotions that by the end of Vol. 1 lead him to have intense Mood Swings that only get worse over time.

Abbey ended up internalizing the entire thing as being his fault because of it, which wasn't helped when, upon being arrested, his father told him he was the one who destroyed their family.]]
