The rest of Makuta's species, born a pool of Antidermis within the Matoran Universe to create the world's Rahi. They also were disgruntled with Mata Nui getting all the praise instead of them. When Makuta proposed his plan to usurp Mata Nui, most rallied behind it, and dissenters were executed.

* DeathGlare: Notable with all the Makuta are that, especially with how their Kanohi are shapeshifted for all of them, they all look vicious or downright hateful, particularly Antroz & Spiriah's Jutlin.

* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler: Save for Miserix, every each one. Unless you count the spirits of the unborn Makuta swirling in an Antidermis pool as living]].

* FourLeggedInsect: Fenrakk

* MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily: Fenrakk and Kardas have a similar-shaped head.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: He's the closest thing to a BigGood in the Voya Nui arc, but when he gets mad enough to go full {{Juggernaut}} mode nothing can stop him. Brutaka's [[OhCrap reaction]] to seeing this in their fight was to try and hurl him into an alternate dimension, because he had no hope of beating him in that state.

* UnwantedRescue: Like her fellow Shadow Matoran, Takanuva cured her back into being an Av-Matoran. She, however, was enraged because it left her back where she used to be - alone and friendless.

* WorthyOpponent: Respected the Toa Nuva for matching the Kara Nui team Makuta in combat and never underestimated his foes.

* VillianRespect: He admired the Toa Nuva for their perseverance despite the odds.

* PayEvilUntoEvil: About the pettiest, most dickish thing he's ever done is repel Gorast into a tree (and given that this is Gorast, no one's complaining too much).
* PoisonousPerson: He has poisonous fangs capable of delivering a debilating toxin.

* AssholeVictim: [[spoiler:Pridak shows NoSympathy for his MindRape by Makuta]] and makes no attempt to aid his fellow Barraki's suffering. Considering the fact that not only was Takadox little better than Pridak, but sold out the rest of the League thousands of years ago to the Brotherhood to save his own skin and denied them the element of surprise to take over the universe, it's hard to fault Pridak's justifiable callousness.]]

* BlownAcrossTheRoom: His impact vision, which had a similar function to [[Franchise/XMen Cyclops']] concussive force EyeBeams.

* DropTheHammer: He actually just took a hammer from his forge when he decided to put on a physical appearance.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: He shows NoSympathy for [[spoiler:Takadox's MindRape by Makuta]] and makes no attempt to aid his fellow Barraki's suffering. Considering the fact that not only was said Barraki little better than him, [[spoiler:but sold out the rest of the League thousands of years ago to the Brotherhood to save his own skin and denied them the element of surprise to take over the universe]], it's hard to fault Pridak's justifiable callousness.

* AlasPoorVillain: [[spoiler:His death is genuinely tragic, to the point that even Tahu was disgusted that Gorast [[NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished executed Krika while he was trying to warn her and his brethren about Teridax's betrayal.]]]]

* KickTheSonOfABitch: About the pettiest, most dickish thing he's ever done is repel Gorast into a tree (and given that this is Gorast, no one's complaining too much).

* TerrorHero: While undoubtedly loyal to the Order's cause, he tends to strike fear into everyone, including fellow Order members. Even ''Makuta'' seems [[HorrifyingTheHorror unnerved when he shows up]].
* {{Troll}}: He took the Tahtorak out of Metru Nui... and into Xia. Likewise, neither the Tahtorak nor the Vortixx were pleased.

* FaceHeelTurn: Axonn became a conqueror after the dissolution of the Hand of Artakha.

* HeelFaceTurn: After his FaceHeelTurn, the Order of Mata Nui, a successor group to the Hand of Artakha, persuaded Axonn to change his course.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: He was a slave working in a Protodermis mine before the Shadowed One found and recruited him.

* DramaPreservingHandicap: Averted. He was the only Makuta sent to Karda Nui who didn't have one of these. For extra points, he caught a glimpse of the light that blinded the other Phantoka Makuta, but shrugged it off as nothing before quickly resuming his work.

* WeUsedToBeFriends: He and Chirox previously respected each other as both friends and fellow scientists, but by the present day of the story, they only feel utter hatred and jealousy for the other as they viciously compete over who can make the deadliest Rahi. It's lightly implied that this is because of them and the rest of the surviving Makuta having consciously exorcised the inner moral light from their souls, making them all [[TookALevelInJerkass Take A Level In Jerkass]].

* {{Troll}}: Brutaka has an... ''interesting'' sense of humor, having sent the Tahtorak towards populated Metru Nui. Needless to say, the Tathorak and the Matoran were not amused with being away from its kind and the impending destruction of the former respectively.

* BoundAndGagged: Is capable of doing this to criminals that he's transporting, if they're in a state where they can resist arrest. {{Averted|Trope}} regarding the gagging -- when he whisks the Barraki to te Pit, the only thing left behind is the sound of their screams.

* PerpetualFrowner: Has a large scowl in comparison to the Piraka's {{Slasher Smile}}s.

* HandicappedBadass: They're among several Matoran who were subject to Kahrzahni's shoddy repairs, leaving them weaker than others, but they had unique weapons to make up for it.
* LaResistance: They were the only six Matoran to avoid being captured by the Piraka, and formed a resistance group against their occupation.

Garan was {{the leader}} of the team, a tactical thinker and determined fighter. His Pulse Bolt Generators fire energy blasts that grow in strength the farther they travel.

* StereotypeFlip: Her ferocity and strength are not typical Ga-Matoran traits.

The team's spy, Piruk is very nervous and fearful, but he always comes through for his friends. His hands have built-in Shredder Claws that could rip through solid metal.

* AncientTradition: They stay in the background, but don't really take an active role until the Destiny War.

* CoolMask: As standard with Kanohi. Helryx, Krakua, Axonn, Brutaka, and Trinuma. Averted with Botar, as [[invoked]]WordofGod has it that he could use a Kanohi if he wanted to, but doesn't need one.
* DestructiveSavior: A large number of Order of Mata Nui members were members of a previous organization formed near the beginning of the universe, the Hand of Artakha, which was a not-secret group dedicated to protecting everything. The Hand was disbanded ''very quickly'' (well, after two hundred years, but to these people that's no time at all) in favor of the Toa because they had a habit of causing more destruction than the things they were saving people from.
* {{Determinator}}: We have yet to meet a member who isn't this.

* PsychicBlockDefense: Due to the sensitive information they carry, all members are trained to have their minds shielded against telepathy and mental attack.

* StraightManAndWiseGuy: Apparently, every duo in the Order ends up like this-Axonn and Brutaka, Mazeka and Jerbraz, and Mazeka and Tobduk, with Axonn and Mazeka serving as the Straight Men to Brutaka and Jerbraz's Wise Guys, while Mazeka becomes the Wise Guy to Tobduk's Straight Man. Trinuma also becomes the Straight Man to Vezon's Wise Guy when taking him to Destral.

* ThouShaltNotKill: Averted with Helryx. She doesn't follow the Toa Code because she was created before it even existed. It's also why she made the Order. She ordered the deaths of all who knew the location of Artakha, including several members of the Order, [[spoiler:and would have killed Teridax and the Matoran Universe off if she had to]].

Krakua is a Toa of Sonics involved with the Order of Mata Nui, acting as a liason between the Order and Toa.

The Maxilos robots were built by the Order to police the Pit. With black fire energies, heightened reflexes, and massive strength, they cannot be bribed or deceived. Unfortunately, Teridax was able to posess one to further his plans.
