This is effectively the most polarizing and villainous cast since Season 15, if the ''miles'' of explanation and sheer frequency of this trope appearing doesn't tell you right away. In short, all the nice houseguests were evicted before Jury, the last of which was Ramses. Talking about the remaining houseguests is basically like playing with nitro in a can.
There were so many unlikeable and detestable houseguests this season that there were hardly any popular houseguests or clear favorites. There was something dislikable about almost every single houseguest from twelfth place on up, and Megan, the one who self-evicted. Paul, who was originally a fan favorite on Big Brother 18, had become incredibly disliked and hated this season due to being TheBully and playing a very scheming, lying, and manipulative game. Ironically, Paul's decline in popularity seemed to have mirrored Nicole Franzel's in Big Big Brother 18. Nicole was very liked on her original season (which was the biggest reason why she was brought back to play the game as a veteran on that season to begin with) but when she became a veteran, she let the power and status of being an experienced veteran get to her head and it made her conduct a FaceHeelTurn. Paul and Nicole are very similar to each other in this regard in that they were brought back by popular demand, became veterans and lost their hero statuses because they became DrunkWithPower and played a dirtier game than on their original seasons. Paul's popularity unfortunately never recovered and he even received some backlash and some hate on his social media once the game was over. Alex was also someone who started off popular and was a fan favorite amongst the audience. However, once she became TheCorruptible and TheDragon to Paul and did a FaceHeelTurn, she revealed how unlikeable and nasty she really was. Alex was also a bully who constantly talked trash about the other houseguests and used to constantly pick on Kevin unnecessarily. This contributed to the fans turning against her which resulted in her popularity plummeting immensely. Before the season was over, Alex went from being in the Top 5 most popular houseguests of the season to being in the Bottom 5 of the least popular houseguests. She was at the bottom of nearly all of the Big Brother 19 houseguest popularity polls or ratings, including Jokers Updates Ratings. Christmas, like Alex, also started out as popular, but lost her likability and popularity when she became aligned with Paul. Once Christmas showed UndyingLoyalty to Paul and became TheDragon for him, the fans turned on her like they did Alex. And since then, her dedication to Paul has not done Christmas any favors with the audience liking her. She even adopted Paul's bullying tactics and manipulative ways in the game, something that made the fans incredibly uncomfortable. Raven is probably the most hated houseguest of the season by far and it's not even close. Raven was ALWAYS at the bottom of all of the popularity polls and ratings, most commonly Jokers Updates Ratings. Much of it has to do with the fact that Raven was a ConsummateLiar who came across as intensely delusional and constantly embellished stories about her real life no matter how silly or unrealistic they came across. They also hated her because they felt that she was extremely emotionally unstable and she hid a very violent and angry personality underneath a fake SouthernBelle facade. It didn't help that she constantly played the victim by exploiting her illness (Gastroparesis) at every turn in order to gain sympathy from her fellow houseguests so that she can manipulate them to keep her in the game. Cody was also incredibly loathed at the start of the season. However, he started to gain some favour and popularity later on. But the only reason why they felt sorry for Cody wasn't because they liked him (he was incredibly unlikeable!), but because ''everyone else was so much more worse than him!'' At the end of the season, Cody ended up winning America's Favorite Houseguest, but it's evident that unlike previous America's Favourite Houseguest winners that Cody didn't win because he's so popular, charismatic and likeable. He only won it because the fans wanted to strike against Paul by proving a statement that he was disliked all season and because the other houseguests were simply so detestable that they felt that nobody else was worth voting for to give the prize to. This is probably one of the most unlikeable casts next to Big Brother 15.

* TheStarscream: Josh wants to dethrone Paul as the big boss of the house in the Final 3 finale part of the game, a la Steve Moses to Vanessa Rousso in BB 17. What he ends up doing instead is completely unexpected. Subverted when Josh decides to not turn on Paul and chooses to take him to the Final 2 over Christmas because he believes that he has the best chance at beating him than he does Christmas. Turns out, Josh's instincts regarding beating Paul in a Final 2 scenario were right on the money.

* TheStarscream: Josh wants to dethrone Paul as the big boss of the house in the Final 3 finale part of the game, a la Steve Moses to Vanessa Rousso in BB 17. What he ends up doing instead is completely unexpected.

* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Regarding the producers of the show, they seem to pick almost exclusively Kroger brand name products (most definitely a sponsorship deal).

* TooDumbToLive: They played right into the hands of Paul.

* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: Into the second half of the game; Kevin's ostracized by the remaining houseguests with the exception of Paul.

* '''OnlySaneMan''': Kevin, due to being the only person who isn't any shade of bitter whatsoever on the Jury, consistently ends up being the voice of reason with hints of being the MetaGuy when he points out how irrational everyone else is acting, and the man who absolutely hates how messy the youths made the house after "Hide and Go Veto".

* ActionSurvivor: The majority of the house were not the strongest competitors and actually got by in the game by clinging to Paul and depending on him and his strong strategic gameplay to try to make it as far to the end as possible. There were some houseguests that didn't just sit back and let Paul take all the control and pulled their weight competitively, such as Mark, Cody, Alex, Jason, Christmas and Josh. However, even though they did manage to pull their weight on a competitive level, they were only winning competitions for Paul so that he could dictate to them who they should target and take out on their own HOH reigns.

* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: Cody and Jessica were royally despised by nearly everyone in the house. They were the number one targets for everyone and they couldn't wait to get rid of them. Much of the disdain that the others had towards Cody and Jessica was the very fact that they came off as very dishonest and disloyal. In addition to that, Cody and Jessica completely abused their power during the first week and treated everyone terribly. Cody was probably the most hated between the two although Jessica certainly wasn't far behind because of her close association with him. When both Cody and Jessica were evicted, the entire house was very happy and they celebrated.

* TheExtremistWasRight: Yes, Cody and Jessica were horrible people and they mistreated a lot of other houseguests through cruelty and bullying. But they weren't kidding when they warned all of the other houseguests that Paul was playing them, manipulating them and using them to further his own agenda and his own game. Despite how nasty they went about trying to go against Paul and how they treated other people, it seemed that they were merely WellIntentionedExtremists that were just trying to break through to a bunch of mindless sheep who were just blindly following Paul without understanding what Paul's true intentions were in the game. And look what their accurate warnings about Paul ended up getting them: ostracizing, harassed, bullied and targeted endlessly by everyone.

!Maven (Matt + Raven + Paul as a "3rd" member)

** Zigzagged with Jason and Kevin. Jason seemed like he was the only person who had Kevin's back... but a certain rape joke from this cowboy was so over-the-top and noxious for some MoralGuardians (Jason was joking that if Kevin betrayed him, he'd fuck Kevin's wife and tie up all his dogs- possibly slang for kids- and make them watch) it sullied live feeders opinions' of Jason (even if it was just a joke).

* TakingOneForTheTeam: Christmas lets herself be voted out in third place because she considers it fair, having come in last in the final HOH competition.

* '''OnlySaneMan''': Kevin, due to being the only person who isn't any shade of bitter whatsoever on the Jury, consistently ends up being the voice of reason with hints of being the MetaGuy, and the man who absolutely hates how messy the youths made the house after "Hide and Go Veto".

* TeamFamily: The group is as follows:
** TeamDad: Paul (looks out for Christmas and Josh)

* [[{{Portmanteau}} Portmanteau Name]]: Most of the alliances this year are either romances on the set or dynamic duos, resulting in a very simple naming convention. The one group that was a big alliance was eliminated early on.

* SchmuckBait: This season is the Summer of Temptations, where everyone gets to make selfish moves at a price, and each one usually ends up stirring up trouble in the house.

* AmbiguouslyEvil: Even though they were working for Paul aka the bad side, they weren't completely evil either. They weren't necessarily good due to their association with Paul but they weren't as terrible and as hateful as some of the other houseguests.
* TheDragon: Mark and Elena were loyal minions to Paul since the beginning. They were working together and they sided with Paul against Cody after he betrayed the alliance. However, they eventually subvert this when the two of them become TheStarscream and plot to get Paul out of the house along with Cody.
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: These guys have no solid alignment, which is why they get pushed out the door after Jody, for being too untrustworthy all the time.
* TheStarscream: Originally, Mark and Elena were loyal to Paul and they were very much TheDragon for him. That is until mid game when Mark realizes that Paul is running the house and is the biggest threat and Elena realizes that she is completely expendable to Paul per Cody's confession. After realizing these facts, Mark and Elena decide to turn against Paul by siding with Cody once again and plotting to target Paul and get him out of the house.
* SympathyForTheDevil: Mark gets in big, big, ''big'' trouble for trying to defend Cody and Jessica as opposed to someone like Dominique.
* WillTheyOrWontThey: Elena doesn't seem all that willing to accept Mark as her lover... until they eventually end up getting together.
